 "That's a good point," Sin dorei said to Sunset. "I don't like the feel of my feathers getting wet, either. Does it feel weird in ocean water even more? I would think it gets crusty with the salt and all. You can't drink it, can you? I've heard about it, but I've never actually tastes sea water." She tilted her head curiously then shook it; not that she had any desire to. "I certainly hope we're not disturbing you," she said, looking back to the brightly colored stallion. "We're just on an impromptu adventure ourselves, but please don't feel like you have to entertain us. We don't want to be a bother." She looked back over to her more enthusiastic companion and looked back towards the forest. "If my wings feel funny in water, I can only imagine what yours would feel like," she said, looking over her delicate Flutter wings. "I don't think you've be able to fly for days."
"What kind of familiar it?" the flutter asked. "I've always wanted one of my own but I guess its just never worked out. I don't know, I'm friendly and all..guess its just not my time, I suppose." She looked back over the water, and listened to Sin Dorei's words about her wings. "That's a good point," she conceded, "I can't fly at all when my wings are wet. Or cold. But I'm so curious I think it would be worth it," she said with a definitive nod.
"But yes, Kelpi! I would love to meet a kelpi, but I don't think they are monsters, really. But maybe there are other monsters? Like sea dragons or something?! Wouldn't that be a sight to see!"
The curious flutter took a few more steps towards the water, letting the foamy water pour over her hooves. The sand shifted beneath her feet and her wings twittered in excitement. "Wow," she said, looking back at her two companions. "It's warm!"

It was getting a little confusing following the chatter from both mares. It was hard to figure out whom he should reply to first. Considering that Sin'Dorei wasn't actually addressing him directly the angeni-gryph turned his head to gaze at Tourmaline.
"Sodium is a parrot. He sort of takes after mah coloring. It is nice to have a familiar at times. Especially when yah find yourself needing company around."
Sunset watched as Tourmaline tested the water by walking into the shallows and he merely arched an eyebrow at her exclamation before turning his gaze to watch Sin'Dorei. "You aren't disturbing me that much. There is something pleasant about being able to exchange words with random passerby."

"Well, that's good," Sin'dorei said, looking to Sunset. "I don't want to disturb anyone who just wants to be left alone. Some folks are more sociable then others," she said, giving a sidelong glance to the more perky flutter companion. "I'm generally pretty quiet myself, I suppose, but I have a soft soft for leaning things I didn't know. Since I had never gone to the beach, I figured it would be a good place to visit." She watched Tourma prance about in the water and decided letting her hooves get wet wouldn't be that bad of an idea anyway. "I'm curious, however, why you chose the beach as your permanent residence. It seems like finding food would be hard with all this sand?" She took a few nervous paces, trying not to let her nervousness show, and let the bubbly water wash over her hooves. She couldn't help but smile a alittle - it was warm.
"Oh a parrot how interesting!" Tourma exclaimed. "Do you need help looking for him? Does he fly away often? How did you two meet? How did he become your familiar? Did you ask him or did he ask you?"
The enthusiastic little flutter rattled off her questions in rapid-fire, though she seemed mostly interested in the feel of the watery sand beneath her hooves. She seemed fascinated by the way the water would pour over her hooves, the retreat.. the sand forming odd hills and valleys and shapes around her. If she stood in the same place for several passes, it seemed to almost be burying her.

It was getting harder to follow the chatter from the mare Tourmaline. The fact was she was just a little too talkative for his liking. Would it be rude for him to ask her to slow down on the action of asking questions? Sunset Curacao gave a soft sigh before realizing that the mare had stopped talking in order to observe the effect of the ebb and flow of the waves on the beach. Instead he lifted his talons from the sand before watching Sin'Dorei. The stallion took in her questions in stride before thinking them over.
"The main reason I chose this area to reside in is because the place is relatively soothing. The temperature is also fairly pleasant. However the issue of food is not really hard. If I find myself needing something either I will fly in search of it or send Sodium to hunt down what I crave."
The stallion closed his eyes briefly as a slight breeze ruffled his mane and his feathers. The beach he found was paradise. Mainly he could drink without anyone truly disturbing him and then sleep off the effects. He wasn't about to admit that to this pair though.

"I can see how one would grow accustomed to this weather," she said, enjoying the breeze along with him, letting the seaside wind ruffle her feathers pleasantly. "It must be nice, having a little messenger bird who can get you want you need."
"Oh, maybe Sodium ran off to get you food or something?" Tourma asked, growing bored with the conversation between the parrot angeni and Sin'dorei. She pawed at the foamy water, and also found that getting boring as well. She wanted very much to just jump in and swim.... but she new Sin'dorei was right. The harsh salty water would wreck havoc on her wings, and it would take weeks for them to recover. If ever.
It wasn't worth the risk. Her wings were far to precious to her to risk over a swim.
"Imma go look for your bird," she said to the two other Soquili, the boredom getting the better of her. She took off down the beach, kicking up sand in her wake.
While she wasn't a fast runner, she enjoyed the feel of the sand beneath her hooves. She looked past the beach into the thick, tropical trees of the forest beyond. Maybe he was in there? Without thinking twice, she left the sandy beach and broke through the treeline, into the jungle.
Sin'dorei watched the little flutter dash off, using her wings to shield her face from the kick-up of sand. She watched her young and flighty companion disappear into the treeline. She frowned and looked back to her Angeni companion. "Uh, I'm sorry..." she said, "I think I should go after her. It was very nice to meet you, Sunset. I hope you enjoy your beach, and thanks for letting us visit." tefla Wrapping this one up smile Thanks for RPing <3
