Ok so I wanted to go through the 42 purifications and make sure I am understanding them as well as applying them to the best of my ability in the Kemetic faith. Sort of like using them as a 10 commandments deal. I know that these were actually a "spell" to help get you into the underworld after you died but why piss off a god while living if you dont have to?
These are my take on the 42 purifications
1. Dont do bad things 2. dont steal 3. dont be greedy 4. dont steal 5. dont kill 6. Dont waste food 7. dont corrupt 8. dont take a gods offering 9. dont lie 10. dont steal (food) 11. dont be bad temepered (hot headed, gloomy) 12. dont go where you are not suppost to (tresspass) 13. dont kill sacred cattle 14. dont lie to the court 15. dont take from someone who needs it 16. dont eavesdrop (dont spy) 17. dont gossip 18 dont file frivolous lawsuits 19. dont cheat 20. dont be a cheater 21. dont be a bully 22. dont stray from Truth (Ma'at) 23. dont loose your cool 24. listen to wise council 25. dont fight over stupid things 26. dont hurt others by word or deed 27. dont molest children 28. dont lie 29. dont slander 30. dont fight 31. dont be impatient 32. dont dishonor a god 33. dont talk to hear yourself talk 34. hear no evil, speak no evil see no evil 35. dont work magic against the king (government) 36. dont stir crap up 37. dont yell 38. dont work magic against a god, dont do magic against a gods will 39. dont be arrogant 40. dont make choices that only benefit you and not the whole group 41. dont accept/sell stolen goods, dont make yourself out to be better then you are 42. honor all gods.
Ok again these are kind of my takes on them and I did compare a few with an independent kametic recon's youtube channel as well as Falkners translation. Please if I am wrong, correct me. I just want to make sure I am understanding these things and/or applying them correctly.
I also am interested in knowing who the identifiable gods are that you are confessing to. Like 10 being Ptah...at least I think its him...Anyhow thanks for any help!

I don't think 10 is Ptah. I tried to use the links I had to the KO where I had gotten Tamera's translations but they finally actually got around to updating the site so I'm gonna have to see if I can find updated links. Most of the deities mentioned are minor deities. Though I know Djehuty is mentioned in the third one. Bast is in there. Set I believe is in there but I can't remember which one. Neferem is Ptah's son. He's farther down on the list. Ihy is one of the lunar gods.
And there's no problem with using them in the commandment type style. It all really comes down to how you view ma'at. If upholding those is how you see upholding ma'at then go for it.

In Falkners translation I believe it says "O Green Flame who comes forth from Memphis..." That's why I thought Ptah as he is depicted usually as green and his primary worship was Memphis...Could be wrong though...
