With a nod Mitsu had moved toward the large piece of debris and found a good spot to place her hands so that she could push it comfortably. At first it didn't want to move but slowly it began to shift away from the entrance. It was a loud rumble of stone against stone but that didn't keep Mitsu from hearing a woosh from behind her followed by a flare of light.
With a jerk she turned to see what had happened only to find that Danny had thrown a fireball at something. W...was that necessary? Was there something dangerous? Before stopping to figure that out Mitsu made sure the debris was moved enough so that everyone could get through. It was still a cluttered mess but at least they could get inside.

Shun stepped out of Mitsu's way as she went on to move the rock. It was big, but she was able to move it aside enough for them to get through. However, his attention was soon grabbed as he heard a fwoosh followed by spotting light from behind. Turning around, he saw that Danny had lit a bush on fire.
"Danny, what the ******** are you doing?" he hissed sharply.
The bush was now very much ablaze. The foliage was pretty dry before, so the fireball had sent it up in flames in a matter of moments. Nothing emerged from it, leaving Shun to believe that Danny was insane or something along those lines.
"Come on, let's get in before you alert anyone or anything of our presence here."
Shaking his head, he made his way inside. The interior of the temple was fairly dark. Bits of moonlight leaked through the holds in the ceiling, and they revealed that the place was a complete mess. Debris littered the floor all around. The party ought to watch where they were stepping because of this. Aside from that, the entrance was fairly large. Towards the middle, were some steps that led up to an altar of sorts, but nothing was there.
There were four unlit braziers around. They seemed to have wood inside of them. Or some sort of tinder, in any case. Behind each one was a clear doorway. It was difficult to see what was beyond each of them from where they stood.
Shun made his way up to the altar to examine it. On the flat top were four symbols carved into the stone.

Had something rustled? Xiu barely had the time to process the possible movement and sound when she was suddenly caught offguard by a blaze of fire, lips parting in mute surprise as she hastily stumbled backwards. Wha--a-ah, the bush. Danny must have noticed something too then, but on further inspection, it didn't seem like there was anything--or anyone--lurking within the flaming remains.
...Best to stay on their guard though.
With their path now cleared, they proceeded forward, the baku's ears perked up and alert as she scanned their new surroundings, gaze flickering between the unlit braziers. Hmm, interesting...were those doorways behind them? Cautiously, and keeping her hands clasped behind her back, Xiu slowly moved forward to examine the symbols on the altar. Tentatively, she reached her hand out as if wanting to touch it, only to let her fingertips hover just above the surface at the last minute.
"What are these, aniki? And those doorways..."

When it seemed Danny hadn't turned up anything in the bush Mitsu turned and made her way inside behind Xiu and Shun. The place was a mess leaving Mitsu to wonder when the last time anyone was here. She was careful of her footing since being in bare feet left an extra challenge with the rubble but she preferred the sure footing she had when running. Not to mention shoes weren't very comfortable.
Tilting her head back and forth as she moved the lycan listened for any nearby noises as well as sniffed at the air wondering if she would catch any strange scents. "Where is this ring supposed to be?"
Freya was busy admiring Mitsu's strength, but when Danny threw a fireball at a bush, she burst out laughing. There was no reason for the destructive maneuver, which made it ten times funnier. Danny was like, the funniest person in the world. Obviously.
Inside the temple, Freya fluttered up to the ceiling, to look through the holes. Then she hovered down, stopping at one of the blazers. "Anybody gots a ligh-HAY DANNY! BURN THINGS."

"But there was a- It was-" Seeing the expression on Shun's face caused her own smile to droop. She wasn't getting away with this one. Oops.
Before shun said anything else, she shouted, "OY? ANYBODY HOME????"
Then Shun said not to alert others of their presence. Double oops.
Freya shouted and Danny's attention snapped up. How come she wasn't allowed to shout, but Freya could? No fair no fair! "WHICH THINGS?? THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS." A pause and then, "N-NOT THAT I COULDN'T BURN IT ALL OR ANYTHING..."
Burning all the things wouldn't be so terrible, but.. "These lampie things, Danny. Looks, they has wood in them. Comes here and fireballs them so we can sees better okays?"
She poked the inside of one of them carefully.

"Can do!" Well at least she had a purpose here.
With a little finesse, Danny chucked a few baseball sized fireballs at the lamps, perfect ringers.
If she singed Freya in the process IT WAS AN ACCIDENT.

Shun glared at Danny as she shouted earlier.
"What the hell did I just say?" he said lowly. After speaking, he paused, listening around. It didn't seem like anything else was around. He couldn't be too careful though.
The fireballs hit the braziers, but oddly enough, the did not light. The wood within didn't even get charred. Depending on which way Freya was facing, she might have noticed symbols carved over each of the doorways. Upon poking the brazier, it didn't really feel any different either.
Mitsu may hear a few different things coming from some of the doorways. Or rather, one of them, really. There was the faint sound of grinding metal, as well as a light woosh from one in particular. As far as scent went, in another doorway, there was a peculiar smell. Something like incense. One more doorway had a more perfumey scent to it.
"It was supposed to be at the altar.. but it obviously isn't right here. Perhaps someone got to it before us, but I'm not about to leave without scouring this place," Shun replied before looking down at the symbols Xiu reached towards. They didn't react at all. However, she may notice that the symbols were the same as the ones over each doorway. One each.
"There's nothing keeping us from going through those doors. Let's go further."

Danny was somewhat bothered that the wood didn't light. It was sort of an insult to her fear. Rude fire. Rude.
"DIBS!!!!" Danny screamed, running through the room that smelled like incense. After all, to get incense to smell nice, you had to burn it. That meant fire. So there.
Awww, maaaan.. they didn't light. Freya poked at it a few times, then pulled her finger back. Even unlit, fireballed wood was hot.
"Hey Danny, maybe if yeh tries-" Nope. The demon was gone. Freya turned and ran full speed ahead, determind not to be left behind. "It smells like a monk farted in here."

Curiosity pulled her forward and Mitsu began to investigate the doors though she didn't open them. Considering how run down this place was she wasn't sure she was ready to just waltz into any of these rooms when there was obviously something-
And there Danny went, just rushing into one of the rooms headlong throwing caution to the wind. Mitsu could only hope for the best as she turned to follow, the incense strongly hitting her nose before she even entered. Somehow this felt like a terrible memory from last year of a different room littered with debris where there was a terrible surprise waiting for them. That thought kept her at the doorway, maybe a little too uneasy to enter all the way. Instead she peered inside to make sure that it was safe first.

So these symbols corresponded to the ones above each door, and--
Thoughts cutting off, Xiu jumped in surprise at Danny's sudden cry, watching with her mouth slightly agape as the demoness rushed into one of the rooms. There was a moment of silence, and then the baku wordlessly turned to look at Shun, offered him a crooked smile, and moved to follow after the other ghouls.
Incense, huh? Now that was a familiar smell. She stuck close to Mitsu, looking slightly wary as they made their way in.

"I swear I am going to kill you two," Shun hissed towards Freya and Danny as he followed along into the room.
He placed a hand onto Mitsu's shoulder briefly as he passed her up. The first thing anyone entered would notice was that the room was completely devoid of light. The flame on Danny's tail wouldn't even give anything off. However, the scent was stronger here.
Mitsu, and only Mitsu, would be able to hear something faint around the room. It was like a soft hum. And it seemed that it may be from the same thing that was giving off the smell.
"Bloody hell, I can't see anything," Shun mumbled under his breath. He started forth, but then tripped over something on the ground. Anyone else moving, would quickly realize that there were a number of obstacles about.
"Mitsu...Do you think you can find a way? Your nose is better than mine."

The Shrouded Room This Challenge room is for Mitsu, seeing how she has the best chance of navigating around. Roll 3d6. Or 1d6 separately three times. Up to you really. For every even, Mitsu bumped into something or trips and takes 3 damage. Either way, she'll make it to the source of the thing giving off the scent and sound.
As she moved further into the room Mitsu noticed there was no light. The darkness even swallowed what light Danny's tail would have provided. The smell of incense was strong in this room but following it was a soft hum. Ears perking Mitsu tilted her head around trying to distinguish the noise to find out what it was.
"I...I hear something." She mumbled.
Mitsu began to move through the maze in the room after Shun's prompt, finding the obstacles and stepping around them. She couldn't really tell if it was more debris or something else entirely but there was a lot of stuff littering this room. Twice she managed to move around something large and she could tell she was getting closer to whatever was giving off the scent. It was almost overpoweringly strong to her nose but perhaps overconfidence hit her, or maybe she had been distracted by the scent. Either way the last obstacle in her way managed to meet with her foot stubbing her toes.
"Ow.." Giving off a little whine Mitsu flexed her toes a bit to deal with the pain before she forced herself forward. She was so close after all. "I think the thing giving off the smell is over here."
