Kyrie looked to her brother as he spoke and tilted her head a bit as she looked back at the statue she was next to.
"I suppose so," she agreed noncommittally. She was not entirely sure she agreed with his reasoning, even if he had a good point. "If they are all servants, why are they dressed differently? Shouldn't they all be the same?" she asked as she moved further into the room to look at a new statue.

Isidore shrugged and looked around the room. All over the walls there were pictures, neat pictures of people walking. He made his way over to one section and held the torch up to it.
"Kyrie, come and look at this. Look at all these pictures, they have the same people in. They look like they're in a parade or something?" He held the torch up higher ... "I think, I think it might be a funeral. Look, there are women crying."

Kyrie was trying to make sense of the woman statue she was studying when Isi's voice interrupted her concentration. Turning to face him, she saw the pictures on the wall and she moved to join him. Letting her eyes roam over the picture, she listened to him then looked back at him.
"I think you are right Isi. Do you think this is a temple built for you?" she asked with a note of excitement coloring her voice.

Isi looked back at his sister and thought about her question hard.
"I don't think so." He replied finally, although he felt a connection, he did not feel that it was that strong. Just a general feeling, if that made any sense to anyone. He turned back to the room and spotted a door at the back, beyond the statues. "I think it might be someone's grave." He said, voicing his thoughts. He did not know if that would scare his sister or not. "I remember from talking to Kios and dad, that some cultures believe there is another place after you die, the underworld. Where Uncle Nergal lives, and they think it is like our world and they will live there. So they take things with them. These statues are here so they will have servants in the Underworld."

Kyrie was a little disappointed when he decided that it was not a temple for him. That would have been so cool! Turning to face him, she blinked when he said that it might be someone's grave. Fluffing her feathers, she glanced around. She had had some discussion with her father about death and what it was he did for mortals. But she had never seen a soul before. Listening as he went on, she looked back at him.
"But they're just statues. Statues can't serve you," she smirked as if that should have been more than obvious. "This seems like a lot to be someone's grave."

Isidore shared her smirk and nodded.
"Mortals have funny ideas. In another culture they burn things that are made out of paper for their loved ones to use in the underworld. Like, if it burns in their world it then appears in the underworld." He knew that it wasn't true, his father told him the sould just went to the underworld to be reborn. They didn't need anything there. "Come on, let's go through the door back there and see what we can find."

Kyrie smirked more as her brother went on. To imagine a paper bowl being burned and then suddenly a real one appears somewhere else was highly amusing to her. She full heartedly believed in magic, but there were some things that were just silly.
"Mortals are silly things," she declared as she followed him through the maze of statues towards the door. "They think of such silly things and do silly things because of it. If they can't even find their way to the underworld, what makes them think their servants and paper goods will find their way without a guide like Daddy? Can you imagine being the god of burned paper things?" she laughed and shook her head.

Isidore looked at her as she laughed and frowned a little, Scim was following after them, stopping to sniff here and there. He said nothing for a moment as he pushed the door open with a loud creak.
