Wow uhm hi hello. My name is Emily but most people cal me Rad, here on gaia. (Except my friends that know me IRL) I turn 16 this Friday (July 19th) I'm a Junior when the summer is over. I draw more cartoony I guess, I don't realy wanna say it's anime because, I dunno. It doesn't feel right to call it that I guess? x0 I use Paint tool Sai (free download because money is an issue) and sometimes mspaint when i'm too lazy to get serious. I love using the layers, though. I just really like using bright colors ahaha. I used to have a DA, but I forgot the login info and I just don't feel like making a new one. x0 A lot of people think I should become an artist of SOME Sort (they have never seen my digital work, just the traditional. I put so much work in my traditional art), but really, I wanna be a paleontologist ; 0;!!

Hey there! I'm Nyxsirisa!
I'm a co-founder of the guild!
I'm 25 and canadian.
I go to university for psychology, but I have two college diplomas in the arts.
I've been on gaia since '04 on various accounts.
I've been making art on gaia since then!
I am a huge sci-fi and fantasy nerd.
I love Game of Thrones.
I'm a massive Whovian... Yay Doctor Who! My Doctor is the tenth (Tennant!) but the eleventh is a very close second! My favorite companions are Donna, the Ponds and Clara.
I have two DA accounts: The Non-Chibi Chibi Art
I have many a varied styles, from Chibi to more expressionistig - but the style I'm working on cultivating the hardest is high-fantasy digital painting. I can bop around from anime to disney and back, usually, though.
My tools: Wacom Bamboo Touch Tablet with PS CS5, Illustrator and pen/paper (for sketching). I produce mainly digital art, but some of my best work is with raw materials/traditional materials.
I do commissions for pure G, items and RL.
I LARP.
I generally hang out on in the Art Contests and Art Shops forums, or the extended discussions>Sociology/Psychology forums.

More of an art appreciator than an actual art maker. I'm just not very good at it. Tried for years in middle school to high school to draw on paper but it was always crappy face forward kinda bleh anime girls. Never was good with guys.
A year or two ago I was messing around on free art programs and eventually a friend gave me sai. I started focusing on actually paying attention to all my going to waste how to draw books(mostly one particular small one with all the things that are hard to draw in manga tips and how to's). This is the crap I've done with a mouse on sai. I actually don't make art very often and with my laziness + lack of skill, one of those headshots typically took me 7+ hours from what I remember keeping track of. Yeah, I'm more here to appreciate art than make it. I have to be in the mood to really work on it, seeing as I've always been discouraged with my lack of skill and practice barely getting me anywhere. My brothers(irl guys, no one on gaia) were always better with art than me. I always wanted to be good at it but it wasn't in me. Anyways other than that, I like video games, anime, awesome avi art, and I'd be happy to help people price things based on what I see around gaia, or my personal opinion and I'm just the art appreciator. Anything in my profile or signature is all bought art or things I got as freebies, not mine.

Many people think it's just a talent you're born with, and certainly being born with the talent can make it easier - but it's not actually the only way to be an artist. Hard work and study can help you get to where you want to be. When I first started out I sucked. I had no understanding of composition or anatomy, all of my stuff looked pretty bad - seriously. But I spent ALOT of time working on it and eventually I learned what I needed to in order to improve. I don't have a naturally born talent - but I worked hard. With some help and some hard work, anyone can make awesome art! smile

That magical not as shitty as my traditional art, sai sorta skills was more shat out one day from being in the mood and finally really paying attention to a stupid book how to. I didn't gain it overtime, and in the past my actual often practicing of art on paper just never went anywhere. Even now I can't do things at an angle, it's all face froward.

hello uwu I'm Shay and a 20 year old babe I'm a college student in Hawaii and I graduate this year! Then I plan on interning in graphic design with some help from the boyfriend I started off in architecture and then turned to illustration over the years I practice realism and stylized art, most of the time under digital illustration I don't use my deviantart anymore but my art can be found: here and hereI'm trying to get more involved in the art community on social websites again (now that I have some time) ;v;

Whelp, here goes nothing. Hello! I'm Vancha Marl, but you can call me Vancha or Van for short. I'm 20 years old, was at SCAD for college but ended up leaving from not so pleasant grades, now going to a college in Nashville. I love drawing characters and creating their designs, along with animals and creature designs. My style is more 'anime-like', but I'm practicing a few different styles now. I am also attempting to enter into two different OCT's on deviantart right now (artistic suicide, I know). I also stream while drawing a lot of the time. My art software of choice is Sai painter for lineart/sketching and Corel Painter 12 for a more painterly style. I'm also currently practicing animated drawings, though the usage of macromedia 8 still eludes me. When drawing, I also use an Intuos4, and am currently stuck to using a laptop. I was on hiatus on deviantart for over a hear and have only recently rejoined, but here is my deviantart page if anyone wants to take a look as I have been more active as of late. My stream can also be located here, and I usually stream every night unless I have work. Other than that I don't know what else I can say. x:

I wantto go there but i didn't sign up cause i felt like i had no chance since my GPA is 1.5 -sighh- what's it like?... o3o I went to the Savannah campus, and the city there is the most beautiful city I've been in. I'd go back if I could have a chance to. It's really amazing meeting all the artists over there as well, but extremely competitive because of it. You also need to be careful as the dorm rooms are a short way away from the 'ghetto' area. The only slight thing to worry about is the work there is very subjective, and if the teachers don't like your work they can often grade it lower. Other than that, if you think you can work in such a competitive environment, I really would recommend it. (also, the food is amazing there)
