"But you've never seen me drink," he countered, peering up at her with that goofy grin on his face. If he tried, he could have easily tried to peek but her skirt, but he was in a dangerous position and being his in the happy sacks once was enough for the evening. Suddenly she was kicking him, his hands to get him to move but still. She was kicking him(Okay, he knew she was just tapping him with her foot, but still).
"Oi!" He protested moving his hand forward like she wanted. "Knock that off!" This was not what he had agreed to. He stated he could do push-ups not walk on his hands. That was more concentration than he wanted to give! "I agreed to show you handstand push-ups, not walking! There was not hand-walking discussed or agreed on!' But she was tapping her foot against his other hand and he moved it to get her to stop.
"I already told you I can't walk that well on my hands."

"Practice makes perfect" was Iris' quaint response as she tapped his hand again with a foot. However, instead of continuing on further, she backed away, releasing her hold upon his shins as she went around to his side. She stretched out her hands, then leaned forward. Planting her hands on the ground, she lifted her legs and soon enough two were walking on their hands. "I don't think we agreed upon anything yet, since you haven't been drinking... so far it has all been hypotheticals..." Even the tone of her voice sounded like she was grinning, but soon enough she had hand-waddled in front of him so he could see the fact she was grinning. "You do have a lot of things working for you though... you don't have to worry about tripping up on your own long hair... because your hair isn't that long at all!" For a moment, she rolled her eyes upward (which would make her look at the ground), momentarily thoughtful. "I mean, if you want to stay here and do push ups instead of getting to the pub... that's fine... but I figure it might be a waste of your time and all!"

The night was moving in a direction that Crims wasn't quite sure he was ready for, but he knew it was certainly nothing that he had expected. One would think, that in all his experiences with Iris, he would learn to never expect anything from her. She was quite unpredictable.
He made the frowniest of frowny faces at her when she came into his line of vision. "I don't do this sort of thing on a daily basis Iris," he grumbled. His hand-walking abilities were very, very clumsy and ill-practiced. He could have easily conceded and gotten back on his feet but felt that the senshi had challenged him so he moved forward.
Each hand step was tentative and slow but he was moving, and staying upright, which seemed like a big deal to him. "I don't know why you prefer traveling like this," he commented, straining to look at her. "It seems like more trouble than it's worth."

She slowly moved forward as he moved slowly forward, almost seeming to match his efforts. Though she had a fair amount of laughter at his expense, she seemed to have mellowed out for the time being, smile softening to something less toothy. Crims confessed that it was not a daily activity for him, and the girl had to ask "...why not? It's an excellent strengthening exercise and builds up endurance." She might not have been built like a powerhouse, but Iris definitely had looked toned, and it might have had something to do with this manner of walking. Okay, it definitely had something to do with this form of walking. She eventually turned her body so it was facing away from Crims and she almost seemed to trot on her hands ahead a bit. "I think I prefer this because it's more trouble than it's worth, in all honesty!" She let out a small laugh. "...it's hard to explain... but... I don't really like things being too easy... it probably has something to do with me being Iridian in all honesty." Amidst her own people, even with such eccentric mannerisms, she didn't really stand out as "odd." "...plus, sometimes it is nice to get a different perspective on things..." She had stopped and was now looking at a hill a ways away with a door at the edge, adorned with several types of flowers near the entrance. The blonde smiled. "I like the architecture here!"

Crims did not find walking on his hands to be enjoyable. It seemed like every other step his body swayed and nearly toppled over. It wasn't that he lacked upper-body strength, he had plenty, but the action worked muscles that weren't used to the strain and it was exhausting.
"It's not something that they offer instruction for in training," he replied and would have shrugged were he able to. "It isn't exactly a useful skill when it comes to sparring." Brief spouts on the hands yes, but hand-walking? Not so much. He followed behind her, quiet as she explained her preference. "The best things in life don't come easily," he murmured. Like being able to travel the universe. Every good thing came with a price to pay.
"A perspective change is always a good thing, even when it seems like a bad thing," he agreed, chuckling.
Unfortunately his arms began to quake and his balance was nearly lost before he conceded and returned to an upright, proper walking state. "Seems like I'm not quite yet built for long distance hand travel."

Since they were drawing near their destination, Iris decided perhaps it was time to walk like a normal bipedal person. It might have had something to do with her companion seeming to do the same thing, or it might not have.
Only she knew and the only hint to her motives was a wisp of a smile upon her lips as she righted herself.
"So are you guys staying at an inn? The Pomonians are quite generous with the meals, so I'd say get your fill while you guys are all still here! I mean, I know food isn't always all that exciting when you are on the road a lot... so... enjoy the good eats while you can!"
With a big grin, she pointed to a different hill from the one she had eyeballed prior. "There's the goal! Maybe you've worked up an appetite now!" With as much energy as ever, she sprinted forward, calling out "Door's on the other side!"

He had been stretching his arms out over his head when Iris decided that was going to walk normally. He glanced at her, pretending not to be curious about her motives, and didn't miss the slight wisps of a smile. He arched a brow for a split second before continuing to march forward, slipping his hands into his pockets as he walked.
His hands smarted and the coolness of the fabric helped.
"Yeah, only for another night though. Then back to Saturn we go," he replied sounding the tiniest bit bitter about it. He wanted to travel, explore space, not be cooped up on a planet who didn't trust their princess. Really, Crims hated the tightening feeling of restriction. "I'm going to try to," he promised nodding his head. "Don't know when we'll get to travel again." It was never soon enough.
He laughed at her enthusiasm and shook his head. "That's the thing Iris, I've always got an appetite." He could always eat, and eat a lot, which he attributed to his constant training. He opened his mouth to say more when she darted forward, leaving him behind in her dust.
"Hey!" He called, breaking into a sprint himself, "No fair, if we're gonna race at least count to three!"
