Kyrie looked up at Hakim as he spoke, then watched the boy put the saddle on Anwar. That was really neat looking. Reaching out to touch the saddle, she looked to Isi and nodded. "Okay," she agreed with a nod. In all honesty, despite her excitement, she was starting to get a little nervous. Riding on other people's shoulders was an entirely different experience from riding on the back of a strange animal you had just met. Turning to Hakim, she reached out to tug on his sleeve a little. "Anwar likes to give rides, right?"

"Of course! I would not allow you to ride on him otherwise, he is very friendly." He smiled and bent to pick Isidore up.
"Wee." Isi grinned as he was lifted up into the air and plonked down onto the camel. This was going to be the most fun ever in the world he thought to himself as he swung his legs a little and waited for Hakim to lift Kyrie up behind him. "Come on Ky it's fine! We're going to have so much fun."

Satisfied by his answer, she watched him lift Isi up and place him on the saddle. Deciding that her brother's happiness was infectious, she stepped closer and held her feathered arms up to Hakim. "Ready!" she declared before she could chicken out. She'd never forgive herself if she did. She wanted to be able to say she had ridden a camel too.

Hakim lifted her up as though she was light as the feathers on her and placed her behing Isidore. "Make sure that you hold on tight. Anwar will be jerky when he stands up and it will be a bumpy ride."
Isidore held tightly to the saddle horn and looked at Anwar's head. They were going to be so high up when they finally stood. He looked up as Kyrie was lifted on behind him and laughed. "Are you ready Kyrie?"

Kyrie gave another excited caw as she was lifted. That was her absolute most favourite feeling. It was almost like she was flying. Settling on the saddle behind her brother, she nodded at Hakim's instructions and reached out to take Isi by the waist. Taking a deep breath, she nodded. "Yes. I'm ready Isi," she smiled and glanced to her mother for extra reassurance.

Cosine smiled as she watched them and wished Ankou could see the pair of them. Perhaps they would have to come back, the five of them as a family.
Hakim said his funny words again and clicked his tongue. Isi jerked forwards as Anwar attempted to stand, they shot forwards, then backwards and they were up. Isi cheered and reached over to pat Anwar's neck. "Let's go!" he declared. Cheering again as Anwar started to move and they were off.

Kyrie squeaked hoarsely in surprise and her arms went all the way around her brother's waist as they jerked forward. Burying her head against his back, she closed her eyes until it was over and Isi gave a cheer. Peeking, she saw they were up and she sat up again. Okay. This wasn't so bad. "Yay!" she cheered as Anwar began to move.
After a little while, Kyrie leaned forward again. "Isi, do you think we would need a camel to find our treasure palace?" she asked him.

Isidore found he did not have enough eyes to take in everything they were seeing, they were travelling through the market and had the best view of all the stalls. There were silks, spices and potions, jewelry and food of all kinds. It was amazing, maybe even more amazing than the elf city, but that had been floating so maybe not. As they moved towards the outskirts the market stalls became fewer and they found themselves travelling through the giant gates in the city walls. "I think so, camels are the best, I think we need one to find our palace." He called back to his sister. "Look Ky." They were in the desert now, on a well worn road, there were smaller stalls outside, peddlers selling minor goods to those entering and leaving the city, straight ahead of them were giant pyramid structures far off in the distance.

Kyrie decided she was okay with the fact that they would need a camel to find their palace. Perhaps Hakim would even let them use Anwar again. Drawn out of her thoughts by her brother's exclamation, her eyes widened and her fell open a little.
"Whoooa.... what do you think that is?" she asked him as she studied the massive stone structure that rose out of the desert.

Isidore's eyes were firmly on the horizon too, the large structures in the distance were beyond intriguing. "I don't know." He repiled. "Maybe a treasure palace." It certainly looked big enough to be a palace. As they drew closer and closer they could see that the pyramids were not the only buildings there. They were a cluster of ruins, long abandoned. Colums stood alone with no roofs, their halls burried by sand. The pyramids, on closer inspection were missing bricks and no longer rose to a perfect point

As they drew closer, Kyrie's excitement grew. She really hoped it was a treasure palace. Though when they were finally close enough to really see them, she frowned in confusion. They didn't look nice enough to be a palace. "Momma, what are these?" she asked, pointing to the large stone structures and the ruins that surrounded them.

It was Hakim that answered the young goddess' question. "They are tombs." He replied. "They used to bury dead kings in them, thouh not for a long time now." He turned to address Cosine. "My lady, this is the library. You can enter down the stairs. It only leads to an empty hall though, it was emptied a long time ago.
Cosine nodded and smiled. "I am sure we will find what we are looking for." She replied, there was no way she would have left it in the main hall for anyone to access. " We will take a break first, have some refreshments and then begin the search."
