Personality: Bracken's a strong leader, she's a silent watcher but strike a nerve within her; try to talk down Oak or call her weak for being a Nymph and she will show you her might.
She's not a killer, but she knows how to hurt with words. Her body may be small but her voice is big. Bracken can be a spitfire but she is also very caring. She has a passion for her Nymphs, she has a passion for change and can take charge when others are lost. A light in the dark if need be.
The only issue for Bracken is sometimes she can be a little controlling, so a reserved mate would be at hand for her future.
Prompt Response: (I'm usually a third person rper but I wanted to show off my capabilities in both)
As a Nymph, I, Bracken, am very capable of knowing my size. You see I'm not the shortest Nymph, I actually do scale quite well alongside some of the taller males. But because of that sometimes even the other Usidia and shorter-breeds have made fun of me anyways. Surely, I do not take to being called weak very kindly. But I am rather strong willed. Sometimes words are just that; but they are my weapons. Soquili have found this out.
I have found a friend in another Nymph from the motherlands. His name is White Rabbit and he is rather airy. He has taken a Usidia from the Kawani Lands, and she is a very pleasant soul to be around.
The Kawani Lands were a good choice, though the herd has disbanned. I am very sad that this is how it has come. But someday I hope to run a herd of my own again. Or join one of those already in these lands. As opposed to my old herd being of just Nymphs, I want to make a herd that welcomes each species and sub-breed into it. My motherlands may have been closed minded. But the Kawanis.. Some are, some aren't.. I wish to lead again. It is in my heart.

She enjoys the company of other soquili and is friendly, but holds grudges due to her stubborn nature. the only creature whose companionship has outlasted even her stubbornness is her buffalo familiar Oak.

They say the desert changes you; the harsh elements break you down and test your limits, and right when you’re at your wits end, you see things in a whole new light, you become rebirthed into the world.

I have been in these lands for many seasons, many light cycles, and I have seen and done much; Made enemies and rivals. I’ve had love and lost it, made mistakes, I’ve had regrets. But leaving all that behind I look across the Uunule Noyi desert and see the promise of a new life. Somewhere in that vast ocean of sand is Horse Spine Ridge, a sacred land of our ancestors; a place for quiet contemplation, a place to reflect on what I’ve done in this life, and a place to seek redemption.

Bracken stared out at the barren landscape with her quiet companion of many years, Oak, to her left. He has been by her side through it all, and even now he stands ready to face the challenges ahead, his trust unwavering. Meeting his amber eyes, a smile tugged at her lips, “Well, Here we are…” she croaked through her dried throat, “It’s not too late; you don’t have to do this with me.” Braken’s gaze returned to her future home the smile faded, eyes closed dreading the words that may follow.

Oak’s lumbering body collapsed to the earth in a heap, and as the dust settled, “Bracken,” He began in a somber tone, “You disbanded the herd, and I didn’t question you. You left our home, our possessions, and everyone we knew behind, and I followed you. I understand this is something you have to do, and I also know you don’t have to go through it alone. I am here now, beside you as I was when we came to the Kawani lands, because this is where I belong; this is where I need to be, and that will never change.”

There was a hitch in Bracken’s breath as she drew in the dry desert air. She had burned many bridges, held many grudges over pointless things because she was too stubborn to let it go. This experience, with any luck, will purge that from her, leaving her a clean slate, free of past prejudices.

“Well,” Oak huffed as he pulled himself to his hooves, “Horse Spine isn’t getting any closer with us standing here.”

Bracken nodded, “Agreed.”

It was a long road ahead, but there is no one I would rather have by my side…
