Scott didn't want to just dart out of the room, especially when Isha looked like he had something really important to say, but the moment that Isha let go of him and gave him the all clear, he nodded his head to hide his shame, before jumping to his feet and practically flying to the rest room. He didn't want to be rude, but his intestines seemed to be at war with the rest of his body, and he could no longer ignore its ultramatum. He shouted his apologies as he fled into the bathroom. "I'm sorry! Hold that thought! We'll talk more about it when I get out! Yikes!"

He had just barely made it, and while he was relieved, he couldn't help but wonder what was on Isha's mind. His friend always seemed so upbeat and smiling, but even he could tell that something was weighing heavily on his mind. And while he was still feeling shame for abandoning him, even if only temporarily, he wondered how to make up for it when he got back. Scott wanted to be a good friend, one that Isha deserved, and he mulled over the possibilities of what his friend would have wanted to talk about, preparing his mind for the worst case scenarios. Would he be moving away? Did he no longer want to be friends anymore? Had something happened?

His mind wondered to the possibility of the 'secret war' that was going on in the streets, but he kept leaning away from that. He didn't want to think about that, not tonight. And he wouldn't! Whatever was bothering Isha was more important than that!

When he was finally done with his business, he came out of the bathroom, determined to help his friend and listen to everything had to say. Starting with answering his question that he had just barely heard while in the restroom. "Forts aren't the best place to sleep, even if made with perfection. The bed will do nicely, I think... if you throw a few pillows on the floor, I'll be fine with that too. Then you can ask me all the questions you want..."

What was bothering his friend? It didn't matter, because Scott would help him no matter what!

As Scott went about his business in the bathroom, Isha just stood up, smiling as he cleaned up the little area. No reason to make the maids do all the work. He wasn't THAT kinda spoiled rich kid, nope not at all! Sure, there were wrappers and what not all about the place, but it didn't take long to get everything together once again. As nice as the pillow fort was, he honestly didn't know how he'd feel about sleeping in such a place. Especially with no extra cushioning on the ground.

Luckily enough for him, his friend came back with an answer, which he wholeheartedly accepted without a second thought.

"I think you forget where you are, Scott! I already had a bed brought in for you in my room, so there's no need to go ahead and sleep on the floor. And I'm certain that would be just as uncomfortable as sleeping in the fort, right?" His hand took hold of the other's once again, giving a nod to the butler who was standing outside of the little theater, before leading him away.

Up a set of stairs, around a few corners.. This place was definitely a maze to anyone who didn't live here, and even then, this place was confusing as hell. Atleast he did know where his bedroom was! Such a large and spacious room it was, the walls covered in posters of everything! From Movie posters, to video games, to the occasional fishing portrait, his ocean blue walls were covered up almost entirely. Yeah.. He was a bit embarrassed by it, but at the same time, it felt amazing to finally show off his glorious room!

"See? There are two beds!" And Indeed there were. There were two king-sized beds pushed side by side, forming one.. Ridiculously huge bed. Isha finally let go of Scott's hand again, instead using it to vault onto the bed with a pretty high bounce!

"Haha! We don't have to sleep now, we can just talk and what not! I'd love to hear more about you. I mean, I know alot but you can always learn more, right? Unless you're getting sleepy, then that's okay too. I think.. I have something I want to tell you, but that can wait. No need to actually rush it or anything. But it would be a secret only you would know."

By the time Scott felt safe to emerge from the bathroom, a whole ten minutes later, he could not help but feel utterly ashamed and embarrassed. Thankfully he didn't clog the toilet and he was certain that if he had, then his night, as well as his friendship, would have been utterly ruined. Thankfully, it didn't come to that, but still, the first thing he did when he poked his head out of the bathroom was apologize. "I'm sorry for that... you might want to give it a couple of minutes to let it air out."

He expressed some relief in Isha's proud statement, and the thought of not having to sleep on the floor pleased him a little more than he was willing to admit. He was willing to sleep on the floor, being the guest, though maybe other people had different rules for these matters? Once again his hand was grabbed and he was pulled along, though this time he was able to keep up with Isha's fast pace. He was amazed at the size of the house and couldn't help but feel as if he had somehow stepped inside a Tardis... though the house was definitely just as big on the outside too. He was impressed by everything he saw, but by the time he got to Isha's room, he could feel his head literally about to explode from the amount of sheer awesome that was somehow confined without those walls. He had managed to collect a poster and maybe one or two figures, but this? This was amazing, and he was torn in two, between running all over the place and touching everything, or just standing there and basking in its glory.

He did a mixture of both, barely noticing the beds, and he at least waited until his friend had bounced on the bed before he finally managed to get out a mess of jumbled, barely strung together words that formed a vague resemblance of a sentence. "Isha, this is amazing... how did you ... look at all the posters! This room is huge! How do you not get LOST in it?! Do you get lost in it? Woah, what a huge bed!"

He said this as he flopped on top of it, face first, and he laid there for a few moments before finally lifting his head up and giving a gasp of air. In his tour around wonderland, he had almost forgotten Isha wanting to tell him something, and he couldn't fight ignore his growing curiosity as he wriggled his way onto the bed, trying to stay steady even as Isha jumped and jumped. He contemplating on joining him, but the last time he jumped on a bed, he sent his youngest brother to the hospital. He didn't want to risk the same for Isha, so he sat there, grounded, but still a part of the fun in a way. "What kind of secret? I'm good at keeping secrets."

"Well, despite of all the stuff that LINES the walls, there's not that much in the middle. You should see this place when there's lots and lots of homework I have to do, or if there's something I want to draw. Paper and books and everything ALL over the floors. It's like playing hopscotch! Especially with drawing. I can't draw worth crap, so I do alot of erasing and crumpling up papers and then trying again." Isha finally sat up, sitting cross-legged infront of where Scott sat.

"Getting lost, not so much.. Falling down, yeah, there's that. There's alot of that. Seriously, I don't know why they haven't pretty much baby-proofed this entire house yet, but I'm never that badly hurt. It's mainly when I misplace my glasses. Maybe the next pair I get will have some sort of alarm on them, so the next time that I lose them, BAM, I can find them once again, just like that!"

After a bit of giggling at his rather lame idea, he grew quiet, smiling, and contemplating his next few words.

"Well... There.. There are two things that I want to tell you.. One, I think, is really cool, and you would be the first person to know.. And telling you.. Um.. Letting you know this would be like handing you my life.." He chose his next words much more carefully.

"And.. And the other thing would be more of handing you my.. My heart. Oh god, that sounded.. Yeah. It sounded like it should have.. But I don't think you need to say anything if you don't need to! I mean, it's just how I feel and all and I wouldn't want anything to become too awkward between us, even if I like you like that, err.. Uh.. In that way, because we're still best friends and I'd tell you anything, so in telling you anything I have this other secret and I wanna tell you, but I gotta know that I can trust you, for your and my own safety, yet at the same time, I mean I do trust you and everything but this is super important, and Oh, GOD I'm speaking in circles, aren't I? You know what, just forget it, just for get it all! SO do you like my room? Yeah, I got all these posters off of the internet!" So smooth, just as smooth as freaking rock candy. And his face might just as well be as red as the RedVines he had been eating earlier! Maybe.. Just by luck, Scott didn't hear all of that. It was so rushed after all.

Scott was impressed, regardless of Isha's modesty, and if anything, that level of humility was certain refreshing to him. He had encountered far too many jerks in his time, going to their house to work on study groups or presentations and spending more time being forced to tour through their house and being reminded just how much better their life was compared to his. Isha's house was certainly impressive, but the fact that he never seemed to let it get to his head and welcomed him into it... made Scott admired his friend even more and wonder what he had done to deserved such a good friend.

Such a question remained in his head, though, as he didn't want to drag down the situation and make things anymore awkward for him. "It's okay, I can't draw either. Only thing I'm really good at is school work, useless movie trivia, and catching bugs. I'm -really- good at that... I should show you my collection sometime!"

Though a bug collection could never compare to what Isha had, but he had a feeling that Isha would appreciate it nonetheless. He couldn't help but laugh when Isha admitted to losing his glasses, though he didn't mean it out of malice. "Hey, there's a device that allows you to find your car with a click of a button. You can attach it to your glasses, and you'll never lose them again. Just make sure they're really loud!"

However, now was not the time for fun and games, and Scott made sure that his smile had flattened out to a more serious and mellow expression. Isha was his friend, and therefore, he deserved his complete and undivided attention. Even when he seemed to be dancing around the subject and running the risk of getting on his nerves, Scott sat and waited as patiently as he could for his friend to spit it out. Whatever he had to say must have been big, to cause his talkative friend so much trouble.

So MUCH trouble that he completely dropped the subject, and Scott couldn't help but feel horribly let down, but he tried not to hold it against his friend. After all, some things were just harder to confess than others, and he'd be lying if he wasn't a victim of such inability to express inner emotions himself. "Um... okay. Your room is awesome. Not going to lie, I'm a little jealous, but when I go to college, it gives me something to thrive for."

"Oh, yeah, you're collection would be cool! In a smaller space, it must look so much more impressive! And College.. I never really even thought about it. I don't know what to do with my life. I just want to get on a boat and fish forever." Damn.. Somewhere in Isha's heart, he had hoped that the boy would have understood what he had said.. But It seemed like it just wasn't the time quite yet to tell him anything.. Maybe it was for the best. Yet it was tugging a hole inside his chest, tearing him up just a wee bit. No matter, it would come around again soon, surely..

"Honestly, I'm curious to see your house. The coziness of it all, being so close to everyone.. It must feel really nice at times. I can just imagine the winter! Although it's cold and whatnot outside, it must be awfully pleasant being around so many children. I can't even remember the last time my family even bothered to hug one another. It's almost painful sometimes. Getting a hug from someone you love and care about more than anything else in the world.." He paused for a moment, moving his gaze away from his companion. Maybe he couldn't talk about it directly, but maybe he could dance about it. This was BOUND to be easier than to say that he loved the boy.

" I have a secret.. And with that secret, my family doesn't know either.. I try so hard to protect them, you know? Even if I get hurt in the process.. You've seen the news reports, right? With the whole Negaverse and everything? I won't lie, I've encountered some of them, and they were terrifying.. A few tried to kill me, they wanted something here, In my chest." His hand came up to place itself on the center of his chest. It laid there, flat for a moment, before coming down into his lap again.

"But then there are some others I've met.. Some that I've seen who are just like me, wanting to know what's right and wrong. I don't know why they steal the.. the things inside of us, but couldn't they aim for the bad people? They could be the heroes that press makes them out to be.. They don't have to hurt people, do they?" The way he spoke, he tried not to be specific about which side he was on.. But it was amazing for him to be able to just express his feelings to someone, someone on no side, he assumed. Someone he could trust..

"You know, I'd do anything to protect you too. Even if It meant giving my own life. You are that important to me. I love you, and I'll make sure that you are safe, I swear it!"

”College is more or less a no-brainer for me,” Scott said with a shrug, uncertain of how to really feel about it. “On the one hand, it’s kind of expected of me. My parents dropped out of high school and now they feel as if they have to push me to be better than them. But it’s not like I don’t want to go, either. I do, just… not sure if I’m ready for it.”

Then again, who was? Graduating highschool was suppose to be the biggest thing in a teenager’s life, and yet, you were just going to go to school again, this time paying even more for it. But he couldn’t lie that the thought of having his own dorm with only one roommate to share it with, and the idea of incoming freedom was certainly something to look forward to. He was kind of sad that Isha had no plans of going, but he didn’t think ill of him for it. Especially with such a wild dream, and Scott readily admit, “Never been on a boat before. I fished once, but… I had to go to the bathroom and a fish ended up taking my pole, and my mom fished it, and the fish itself. Funny story, but… never went fishing again after that. But if you don’t mind me failing hard at it, I’d like to go fishing with you someday. Maybe you’d teach me to do it right?”

It was sad to hear Isha’s account about his family, and Scott gave a small frown. “Well, we’re around each other so much that we all just sort of tolerate and love each other. There’s no real privacy anymore, so it’s like… why bother fighting? But you can totally come over, just… give me a good enough warning so that I can help make the place presentable! Is that okay?”

It felt like a dumb question- he sure Isha would accept his house no matter what the condition, but still, it felt like he had to ask anyway. He couldn’t imagine not getting a hug from his family… they were the only one that cared about him, except Isha… which made the segway to the return of the secret more than a little awkward. He kept this thought to himself, and when he mentioned the news report, he knew exactly what he was talking about. His green eyes went wide, and he immediately wanted to look away, and he answered, “Uh, yeah, I watch the news. Scary stuff. “

Hearing Isha’s account, how he ran into a few, that made him extremely nervous. Like, his stomach was beginning to act up again kind of nervous, and he was certain that his face was turning as white as a ghost, grabbing onto the sheets with white-knuckled fingers and hoping that Isha couldn’t see his nervous fit. The Negaverse had hurt Isha? What if… one of his superiors found out about his friendship? What if they tried to abduct him, make him into one of them? Or worse… what if they took his starseed?

Whatever Isha had said didn’t sink in, and Scott was immediately on his feet. “Going to the bathroom again! Don’t worry about me! I think I can find it on my own!”

He darted out of the room without waiting for a response, desperately looking for a room that looked like it could have been a restroom, not once thinking that Isha may have had one connected to his room. He had to throw up… bad!

"Of course we can go fishing, but only if you tell me more of that story! I'll take you, and we'll go to one of the lakes one day! One of the places nearby would perfect for us. Nice and cozy, you know? Not to many people, but lots of room."

"Yeah, yeah, of course! But it'll have to be soon! School starts up again soon, and since we don't go to the same place, I'm afraid that there won't be enough time to see eachother alot.. Maybe I should transfer to public school..

The faces that Scott made.. As he talked more and more, He wasn't sure how to even interpret them, and then he just.. He straight up and left, running off to the bathroom. That meant he was not caring about what he said.. right? Was it a rejection? Did he even here him?!

"AAAGH!!" A frustrated groan came from him, and he fell over on his bed, face planting into a pillow. It was going to be awkward as hell when Scott came back.. If he came back.. Isha couldn't just let it stay like this. No, He got up, and followed the boy, chasing him out of the room, back to the bathroom downstairs.

"Um... Are you alright?" He called, tapping on the door. "Can I get you something? Some medicine..? Do.. Do I need to take you home?" He really really didn't want to.. Did his confession really cause all of this..? Was he about to ruin their friendship because of his love for his best friend..?

Scott felt absolutely horrible, and that was just the stabbing pain in his gut and lower abdomen, either. As he sat that on top of the toilet, clutching his arms over his stomach and trying so hard not to vomit all over these really nicely crafted floors, he couldn't help but feel that he was a horrible friend. No, not just a horrible friend, and a horrible human being... if he was even considered that anymore now.

Here was Isha, offering his entertainment and food and company, and what was Scott doing? Everything he had just devoured was trying to be expelled from his system and to add to his discomfort was a side order of guilt, knowing that the organization he had pledged his loyalty to was hurting his friend. He was paying back his hospitality by running out on him when he needed him the most, because he couldn't stand the thought of Isha getting hurt, and knowing that he had a hand in it. He felt horrible, and ungrateful, and just... absolutely horrible.

Even now, when he could hear Isha's concern from the other side of the door, he wanted to find a way out of here, and if he had the ability to teleport, he would have donned his uniform and fled. But the window was too small, even for him, and eventually there'd be nothing left inside of him. He would have to face the music sometime, but he needed a few more minutes. Finally, he called back, pathetically, shamefully. "Some tums, maybe? I'm... I'm sorry. I think my intestines hate me..."

There was more he wanted to apologize for, but... he couldn't. That'd put him in danger, and Scott didn't want that for his friend.

"Alright, I'll be right back!" He nodded to himself, rushing away as quickly as he could to the other bathroom, where all the medicine was kept. Grabbing the tums, a cup for water, he stopped for a moment, considering anything else he may have wanted. Probably a toothbrush as well. He had one in his overnight bag, right? Surely he wouldn't mind him rummaging through his stuff to grab it! It didn't matter how he felt right now, not if his friend was ACTUALLY physically ill! His health had to come first!

"I'm back now! I have tums, a cup for water, your toothbrush and tooth paste, towels, and an extra pair of pajamas, if you wanted to shower or something. I-if you get sick, don't worry, I've already informed the staff, and they are far more worried about your health than anything else! If you need to leave, to go to the hospital or something, we have a car at the ready!" Maaaybe he was over reacting, but he never had a friend get sick on him before! How was he supposed to handle this?!

"I'm coming in now.. I.. I um.. I'll take my glasses off, just incase you're uh.. Indecent." Maybe at some other point that would have been rather.. Entertaining to have encountered, but this was NOT the time for his boyish fantasies! Not at all! He slipped them off, putting them into his pocket, before stumbling into the room, setting everything down on the large sink counter.

"Here.." He held out the tums to the general direction where he felt that Scott was, while his other hand blindly felt around the sink, turning the tap on to fill up the cup with cold water. "I was told that after you chew your tums, you can drink some water.. T-that should help..."

Scott was grateful for Isha's speedy reactions and even if he felt as though he was being a burden to is friend, it was always good to know that Isha would always have his back. It was certainly a relief to know that, even after not only embarrassing himself but poor Isha, that his friend was willing to help him, and that only served to make Scott even more guilt-ridden about this whole ordeal. What could he do to make it up to Isha? What would he have to do to keep is friend?

Such thoughts lingered on his mind as Isha returned, proclaiming that his quest was a successful one and that he had procured the necessary supplies and then some. He hadn't been expecting the water and toothbrush, and then some, but the sentiment was certainly appreciated, and he finally allowed a smile to fall onto his lips, as he expressed his gratitude. "Thanks… really. I don't think I need a shower, but maybe an air freshener in here? I'm really sorry!"

He wasn't quite prepared for Isha's entry, despite his friend's fair warning, and he looked away, as if that would somehow make the situation a whole lot less awkward, and he gave his friend a warning, hoping that the smell wouldn't render him unconscious. "Um, might want to cover your nose! You can leave the glass- really, I can fill it up on my own! I'll be out soon…"

At least he thought so, unless his body was hiding more. He didn't want his friend to be present if that happened, though, and he kept his head turned, waiting and hoping not to offend.

It seemed like that there was nothing more that he could do, except to leave Scott be in the bathroom on his own. Isha returned his smile in kind, reaching out to ruffle the boy's hair.

"Alright.. I hope you feel better. I'll be in bed when you're finished, and you can just lay down to sleep. I figure some rest will help. It always does for me." Taking a moment to brace himself for any sort or reaction, he very softly pressed a kiss to the other's forehead, giving him a sad, longing smile with cheeks tinted pink, before straightening up.

"Please do feel better soon. I probably won't be asleep when you come in, just so you know." Isha turned, leaving the bathroom quietly, heading straight to his room. He had no words on his mind, nothing more to say, just an odd exhaustion filled his chest, welling up inside of him and weighing him down more than he would have liked. The bed looked just so very inviting, so much so that he just belly flopped onto the bed, face down. So much for a nice evening with his beloved one.. It was probably just fate telling him no, it just wasn't meant to be.

That was okay. He could accept it. He'd sleep, and then in the morning, everything will go back to the same as before, with them both laughing and being silly with one another. No more awkward looks. No more blushing. No more subtle touches or shy grins. Just two boys being best friends. Yes, he'd be absolutely content with that.

It was already awkward for Scott to have been put in this entire situation, but the hair ruffle, and the kiss… it was just a little too overwhelming, and yet, Scott forced himself into silence. It was hard to hear whatever else Isha had said over the roaring inferno that was now a million thoughts and feelings swelling up in him. He swore that he could almost feel steam coming out of his ears, like in those extremely old Merry Melody cartoons, but thankfully, that part of fiction would simply remain in that fictional world. Not that it made the situation any better, but he didn't want to hurt Isha's feelings. He didn't trust himself with words, so he simply… bobbed his head to let him know that he had heard him and would be out soon.

He hoped, anyway.

Now that he was alone in the bathroom, Scott finally let out a breath, not once realizing that he was holding it in for so long until he could see the tiny specks at the end of his vision. So, he wasn't imagining things after all? Isha was… what was the term they used for it? Coming out? Or in the very least, he was confessing that his care for him ran deeper than just friends, and Scott felt horrible to have reacted in such a way. But… he simply wasn't ready for that kind of thing. He wasn't even sure… what he liked in those regards. The idea of romance just… made his cheeks burn all the more, and thankfully, it was the ones on his face.

Eventually, he was done, and after he was certain that he clean enough, he emerged from the bathroom, looking about and hoping that others would have wised up and stayed away from that bathroom until everything settled. Now he only had the walk of shame to put up with, and the inevitable awkward feeling that would come when he entered the room. Isha would still be awake, but would he forgive him for this? Scott knew he wasn't ready for romance, but friendship was something that he didn't want to lose… ever. If Isha could still be is friend after this embarrassment, then that was all he needed or ever wanted for now. Finally, he poked his head back into the room, quietly, and he announced himself. "Um… can I come in?"

The room was quiet, though not uncomfortable for Isha. After having sulked for a few moments on his bed, he figured that that was NOT the impression he wanted to leave Scott with. No, he wanted to be happy and go lucky and just forget all of this ever happened! Well, perhaps not forget, but to let bygones be bygones and what not.

By the time that the other returned to his bedroom, he had gotten under the covers on his one side of the massive bed, holding a game in his hands and leaning against the head board. It honestly didn't seem that too many things changed about him, having resolved himself to be calm and content with the way things were before.

"Yeah, of course you can come in!" He put down the DS he had in his hands on the night stand beside the bed. "Feeling better I take it? Go ahead and lie down, you might feel better in the morning. Don't worry about the lights, it's one of those.. Clap on Clap off things."

He didn't appear angry or upset, at least not with this lighting or from this angle, and Scott was willing to count his blessings on the matter. He didn't want to think of losing a friendship over the matter, and he wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth on this one. Simply accept that Isha wasn't mad (or least not angry enough to kick him out, or play with his handheld), and he walked into the room like a dog that had urinated on his master's floor and sought his favor once more. "Yeah, much better. I guess I just ate too much sugar at once..."

Yes, that was it. He simply had too much sweets, he told himself, as he slunk into the bed that was unofficially designated his. It wasn't because of the Negaverse and the uncontrollable fear of his friend being hurt, or killed, or taken into their ranks, though he wasn't quite sure why that last part scared him. He should have been happy, to have another companion in his ranks, but was this something he'd wish onto him? He wasn't sure what to think or feel, so he simply shut the case close and promise himself never to bring it up again.

He hid himself under the blankets and hoped his nerves would calm down enough for him to sleep, and despite his fears and concerns, one could tell that his smile was as least genuine, as it made his voice sound more light hearted than he truly felt. "Your house has everything. Um, see you in the morning, Isha..."

He gave a clap from under the blankets, and as Isha promised, the lights switched off and the room was filled with darkness. As if that wasn't enough, Scott brought the blankets over his head, giving a heartfelt sigh and closing his eyes, hoping that the morning and its warming light would be much kinder to the both of them. Just... go to sleep and pretend the bad things never happened. He'd keep Isha safe... somehow.
