As a regular human being, Regina Hopewell was awkward. As Celliwig, Page of Earth, she was even more so. She had no idea what she was doing, no idea why she was here... Other than because something this crazy had to be a lot like a LARPing event.
LARPING was, at least, something that she could relate to a little more than saving the world from aliens. Or being an alien. Or...
She brought her hand up to push her glasses further up on to her face, fingers flexing slightly when she remembered that her glasses were not there. Nose wrinkled and her hand came down as she stepped up next to someone who looked like they'd walked right out of a video game.
"Um... Excuse me. I think I'm lost. And a little late to the game, but... Hopefully it's not too late to join in?"

Niflhel looked up from his tablet he was taking notes on. When someone spoke, he turned and looked at the page, "Ah, you wouldn't happen to be Celliwig are you?" He asked as he turned the page.
He was looking at the list of those who'd showed up, "We were wondering where you are." He took off his hat and ran his free hand through his hair, "Give me a second," He said as he pulled a walkie talkie from his cape. He'd been hiding it so he could listen, "I need an escort to team jaguars please."

"Oh right, our gold," Lyceum smirked, but schooled her expression after a second, she had indeed paid attention way back when in high school and it only made since seeing as they were in a corn field. She eyed her partner for a second, still a child, but old enough to deduce something that simple and yet. She frowned slightly and walked through the gate, give a quick thank you. She didn't know if someone was operating the machine or not, but it was possible and they had lifted the gate.
She looked to Lassell, she had solved the riddle right? So it was his turn to be productive. "Well," she said questioningly, "come on pick a path. I'll follow you for now. We don't want to be the last ones out, nor do we want to waste time in case we get lost and need to turn back."
She was only slightly more interested in what they were doing. She didn't mind have a wit tested a little.

"I would be. I mean, I am. I think. Unless I am supposed to be someone else, in which case I'm sure that I could pretend... I seem to do well in all of my theater classes and..." Celliwig was a rambler, it seemed.
"Jaguars?" She went quite for a moment, eyes going wide. "Well, it's no Barracuda, but I can make red work. Will I have to wear a helmet?" Gold would, at least, match her attire...

"Yeah, we're definitely going in a circle." Alfheim was pretty adamant about this, and while he'd like to get out of the maze, he was sure getting back to where they started was probably a lame way to do it.
"Whaddya say, cross our fingers and keep going in this direction?"

Lassell blinked as the gate lifted, he nodded a quick thank you and walked through and stopped and went over the last statement the puppet said. "so..Lets see..the puppet stated that the maize was not as simple as it seems so from what I can gather there is more than meets the eye and we have to figure out what it is. So basically looking at the bigger picture. Perhaps the corn is part of an image or something" he said trying to use his deductive reasoning.
Niflhel watched as one of his assistants approached. "Nope, no Helmet, at least for this. I don't see it being that dangerous. Besides you don't really get a useful helmet fighting the negaverse. Some of us get a Helm but that's probably about it."
He turned to the assistant, "Make sure she catches up with the jaguars and trade her out with Buyan please?"
There was a nod and the assistant took Celliwig and began escorting her the fastest way to the Red Jaguars. It'd take them just a little bit to catch up as the woman spoke on the walkie to the others.

The straight path doesn't take long to come to the end of it, where it forks off, two routes heading back in almost the same direction while your path splits them, and one path heading forward. Which way should you go? Back and to the left, Back and to the right, or Forward?

"Well, fast or not, we can go a slower pace? I don't exactly know where we are headed, so might as well enjoy it right?" Meru laughed, trying to lighten the mood.
She didn't want to admit to Alfhiem that she was probably not the best person to ask for directions. But hey, they did say there was helpers if they needed it, right?
"Okay let's go!" Meru told him confidently. "We will hit something exciting soon!"
"I hope... Or at least nothing dangerous." She didn't know if this maze was testing them on anything... Or maybe it'll be like those haunted ones with random people popping out and scaring people. That she would not like.

Team Red Jaguars Team Members:Celliwig Buyan - Fill-in + Palatine Choice: Top Right
The straight path turned out to be a decent choice. There was no telling whether or not their luck would eventually run out on them and reveal it not to be such a good choice after all, but they went a ways without running into many obstacles or dead ends, and that would good enough for Palatine for now.
Next they came upon two paths that veered to the right, one a little further ahead of them than the other. Palatine took a moment to consider them both, then looked at Buyan and shrugged. "This one," she said decisively, and led the way down the path at the top right.
Team Blue Barracudas: You have Choosen the Straight Path.
As you travel the straight path you notice it doesn't take long for you to reach another split you can go left or right. The notion that you're going in circles creeps a little further while you stand looking at the left path, wasn't there another left not far behind you?

"Sounds good to me." Buyan answered as she followed Palatine, she was not help at all. Though considering she was just filling in it wasn't too surprising. There was a small pause before she continued to follow. "I wonder what the other games will be like."
Niflhel's assistant paused as she looked at the roads, making a quick option to turn left, go straight and after another turn ran straight into Palatine and Buyan. "Ah, Ms Palatine, you're partner, Ms Celliwig." The page introduced before looking at Buyan, "Come on Ms Buyan, I know a short cut to get out of here."

At this juncture both teams + Buyan and the assistant page have actually run into each other time wise and location wise because of prompt choices. "Seriously... How many more lefts do you think we can take? At least when we were going straight we could at least think we were going to get out sometime soon..."
Meru took a bit of time to think as they made their way forward to another split. "Darn it! Why don't we try another approach? Zigzags! Maybe that way we'll eventually reach something we can call an exit?"
She laughed a little bit at the notion, but if the way to escape the jaws of an alligator was to run in zigzags and not a straight line... Maybe this would work for getting them out of the 'jaws' of a maze too.

Celliwig had followed her guide, trying to remember where she was going, where she had been, but by the time they reached the other two; competitor and fill-in, she was absolutely lost. Again.
She was also startled to see others there as well. Had they been lost too?
"Palatine? That's a pretty name..." She murmured, glancing back to the young woman she was being dropped off beside. "Sorry. I got lost." As if that would somehow just explain everything.
Team Gold Anteaters Team Members: Lassell + Lyceum Choice: Back to the left Lyceum was walking behind Lassell when they came to the next branch off. So far while she had been the one to figure of the gate, he'd done well in choosing the directions, even if she didn't really get the young man.
She sighed slightly looking over the three paths and wondering which way to go. She didn't think their was a maze anywhere that would just let you keep going straight and as much as she wanted too she decided maybe they should try to branch off for a while. It they came to another straight path they could take that, but for now she though back to the left would work out for them.
"Come on, let's go this way for a while. Like you said more than meets the eye and all I guess. Probably not a good idea to keep going straight."
With that she headed down the path, not really waiting for Lassell to respond.
