Saphi has taken to sleeping against my feet overnight. It wakes me up, because I have issues with feeling trapped/like I can't move, so I have to make her move so I can do so.

She's still just a night-feeder, so no worries about her waking me up because she's hungry

My cat has been a pig old pain in the a** the last few mornings. Usually she'll start out by walking all over us, purring, so we'll pet her and hope she goes away. If that doesn't work she starts messing with cardboard boxes, scratching the carpet, the wardrobe, and generally making as much noise as she can. Recently, she's taken to attacking out feet under the covers. Sometimes she keeps doing it even after we feed her.

Anyone know how to curb those sorts of behaviors a bit? I've read you should just ignore them, but I can't have her destroying the carpet or anything. Kicking her out of the bedroom is an option because we have a studio, and chasing her all over the apartment to locker her in the bathroom is a pain in the butt.

When she crawls into bed, ignore her - pretend like you're still asleep. When she starts doing things she shouldn't like scratching at the carpet and furniture, interrupt her (a loud noise usually works well).
Don't get up and feed her or play with her or anything or you're just enforcing her actions as acceptable ways to get food/attention.

Does she have any solo-play toys like ball-tracks? They're often great for releasing a bit of pent-up energy. Having a scattering of little toys for her to attack and throw around and whatnot may help as well (keep it at like half a dozen at a time and rotate them out every couple weeks or so to keep them more new/exciting/interesting).
Scratching posts/trees are wonderful - if you don't have one, I'd definitely find a way to fit one into your place.

Another option is to look into nail caps so that you don't have to worry about her really damaging stuff when she scratches inappropriately

I mean, we do ignore her or interrupt her she just keeps going. She's got toys strewn everywhere, but she's been very physically affectionate the last couple weeks so I think she's just demanding attention. For a while we could just feed her and that would keep her quiet until a reasonable hour, but my boyfriend and I had a string of days where we both had to be up very early so I think she got used to and decided she liked that schedule. She does well on those days, where one of us is up and active for half an hour or so- she never bothers whoever is left asleep. It wasn't so much a problem for a while because she wasn't active until the sun came up but now it's getting earlier and earlier.

Of course she also sleeps on the bed with us and has a habit of wedging herself right up next to you, meaning if you have to get up to pee in the middle of the night she is AWAKE and ready to play.

Pearl is pretty good about letting me sleep. but if it's 9 AM (on the dot) and I'm not out of bed... she gets on top and starts walking all over me and purring. She'll then slip under the covers and try to kinda push me over because "it's her turn for the bed."

If I'm not up, she'll look for flesh and nick me a little, or graxe a claw on me. This has resulted in my head smacking off the ceiling (top bunk of bunk bed) or me falling out of bed.

Then she follows me to the bathroom, even sneaks in when I close the door, and looks at me going "FILL MY BOWL HUMAN!"

She gets food, and a warm spot in the bed.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.I got all complacent, as my three never woke us up. Minstrel would sit on my chest to let me know he was hungry, and then go back to sleep himself. Nightshade would purr next to my ear, and then go back to sleep. Tansy would dig quietly at the window and eventually give up.

Sadly (for those of us in the house that like to sleep as long as possible), Minstrel has decided that yelling at the top of his lungs is a good way to gently let everyone know he would like breakfast now. XD

Ifrit just starts purring and walking on me. Sometimes he tries to nuzzle my face. If my hand is on top of the covers, he tries to put his head under it. Usually he just sneezes in my face.

My old cat Max used to sleep on my parents' bed and he'd start nibbling on my mom's hand.

Little Bear just goes all chaotic and runs around, meowing, and knocking stuff over.

Midnight is pretty chill. He doesn't try to wake me up unless he wants to be snuggled.
