Aha! See, she knew not everyone had them! She wasn't weird, Kettil! "I mean, I've been tempted to go in and stuff, but I don't want to get in trouble," Piper admitted, because those were the sorts of things you told budding friends, right? "Not this early in my school career. I mean, it's forbidden for a reason, right? Well technically it's called The Weeping Forest, so there's probably a reason for that too . . ." And she didn't want to get involved with any creepy crawlies therein until she was prepared to cause a little trouble!
But the ghouls' laments gave her pause, and Piper tapped her cheek in thought. "Hmmm . . . You know what? We could go to the maul after this if you want!" she told them with an eager smile. "I have to go anyway, so we can go together! And I'll help you pick out skellyphones and cute protectors and charms and everything!" FRIENDSSSSSS.
"So! Follow me over heeeeere . . ." She motioned them and began to walk away from the forest at a brisk pace, slowing down a few seconds later when she remembered that these poor undead ghoulies probably couldn't keep up for long. Probably. So she slowed down, turning to face them with a tour guide's smile. "Up ahead's the main building, but you know that already. And behind that's where the dorms are, which you also know. We could stop by if you want to get your stuff before we go shopping?"

Geez, this girl was full of information. Otto was rolling in it. Otto's golem gave a small nod. Yes, skellyphones were now on the priority list of things he needed to get while he was here. It was pretty much one of the reasons he was here for a week. He wasn't so sure he wanted charms or cute things on it, but if he had to blend in? May as well. It seemed like this girl would take them to the maul. He'd never been that far into Halloween before. "It's fine. I have my wallet on me.." His golem mumbled, trying to avoid the awkwardness of not actually having a dorm room. If he got found out this early in the game, he'd be screwed in more ways than one. Still, he took note of where everything was for future reference.

Helpful girl was helpful. Heidi followed after Piper as quickly as she could manage in her golem, nearly running into her when the ghoul suddenly stopped and turned without warning. Gah! She blinked and took a step back. Piper was super eager to help them out, huh? That was great! Were these really the monsters that bothered people..? She almost looked like a normal person. Yes, they totally knew where the main building and dorms were. Totally. Heidi casually leaned to one side to see past Piper's hair. She had a lot of it. Heidi grinned back at Otto when 'she' mentioned having a wallet. Good. "Awesome! I don't need to get my stuff either. We're good to go whenever!"

"Well look at you two ghoulies~" she cooed with a grin. "All prepped and everything! Lemme just, um . . . get my stuff too."
Except she was almost broke, and she couldn't possibly go to the maul looking poor . . . Tapping her chin, Piper concocted a quick scheme to get rich. Remembering her soon-to-be-super-awesome-friends were undead, she opted not to go for the fiery cardinals and instead, with a few taps on her jug, summoned several blue jays instead, watery and mostly transparent (though at least not dripping this time). Nevertheless, they chirped like the real thing rather than gurgled because magic. "Alright, beauties, go and get mommy her seeds," she told them with a wave of her hand before they grew too intrigued by the pair of new ghouls. As they flitted off, she turned back to them.
"Great thing about magic: you get to be super lazy if you know how to do the right spells~ They'll be back in a sec, don't you worry. So!" She clapped her hands. "Let's make a plan of attack. Skellyphones are top of the list, but d'you ghouls want to get food too? Try out some clothes? Oh oh, the scarecade has a karaoke game we could try!" All the things, you guys.
Bittiface I suck and thought I tagged this OTL

Otto's golem watched carefully as the ghoul used magic, hollow sockets staring out as they flittered off. Just what was that? They could use such things for that? "Handy..." He muttered airily. Otto withstood the urge to groan and complain as the ghoul exciedtly listed off the things she wanted to do. If he wanted to get as much intel on Halloween teenagers as possible, he had to do as the teens do. And he had to do it as a girl. Tenya laughed. Otto did not. "That sounds.. fun.. let's do all them things." He spoke in an empty monotone, he hoped would be taken as a quirky undead trait.

Heidi's jaw dropped as she watched the girl create a little bird out of water. That was a thing. That was a thing that just happened. This wasn't a movie, it wasn't television, it wasn't a video game or a book. This was real life. This was happening. "That is so cool.."Magic was literally the answer here. She leaned in to whisper to Otto, "can we change clothes or are we stuck like this?" Trying out clothes would be awkward if they couldn't change. But Otto seemed up for doing all the things so..okay! Grinning, Heidi stood straight again and put her hands on her hips. "Let's do this!"
