His head turned when Claves approached him, eyes blinking at the question. Glancing at Timpani, a gentle roll his shoulders followed shortly after. He didn't mind not having those things, whatever they were. His father had them, but his mother didn't, and not having wings was a part of her. Nuzzling Claves gently, the male shook his head. "Because mother doesn't have any, so we're like mom." His soft voice rumbled gently, now locking his eyes on his parents. His mane was green, like his fathers. He bore similar markings, and green legs. However, he had his mothers main body color and eye-marking. His sisters bore similar appearances, and it only reminded him that he was a combination of his parents. He was a part of them. A sense of pride rushed through his chest as he watched his parents before quietly resting his head on Claves.

Del sighed softly. She didn't understand why Claves was so hung up on her sister's wings. She hoped this feeling of resentment would pass soon, and not come between the girls. She knew it was impossible for siblings to get along all the time, but she didn't like where this was going currently, and the rift it was cause in their little family. Not to mention that from what she'd seen Timpani was an awful lot like her big brother thus far, and a jealous sibling for nothing more than a luck of the draw pair of wings would only make Timpani confused and hurt later.
"Only one of your big brothers also has wings, and that's just the way it is sometimes, sweetheart. It doesn't make you more or less special to your father and I. We love you wings or not." she smiled, at all her children. Timpani wiggled happily under that smile and giggled. "I love you too, Momma! And Papa!" she skittered back over to Cres and snuggled up against him happily.

Claves let out a long drawn out sigh, resting her head over her brother in return and staring wistfully at their sister and father. "When can we meet our other brothers...?" She asked after some time, raising her head again curiously. "I wanna meet them! I wanna see their wings too!" She beamed, completely ignoring the fact she was told only one had them. "Don't they live here too? They must! We do!"Crescendo smiled and nuzzled Timpani happily, keeping her close to him. "Precious Tipi~" He said quietly, loving on her for a while. "Oh Claves...someday you'll get to meet Beat and Pach. Likely...Pach first, he's the closest that we know of. I'm not sure where Beat has wandered off to these days..." He frowned a bit, trying not to fear the worst for one of their older sons. He knew he would be fine and could handle himself, but there were days....

Lady Argentum Draconis Slowly getting back into Soq. o u o Lyric eyed his sisters, the male squirmed to be closer to Claves, a hum following after her little curious speech. When she rose her head his followed, eying his parents. He wanted to meet his other siblings, for sure, but he was also content cuddling into everyone here. Perhaps he wasn't the adventurous one, or he'd grow into it, but at the moment he was perfectly happy with his little family. A sing-song hum escaped him, a pleasant little melody imagined within the small foal. He nestled back into Claves, obviously tired from the exertion needed to wrestle free from his basket.

Del sighed, this was evidently going to become an issue with Claves. Maybe she would outgrow it? Even with being told that only one brother had wings, she just wouldn't listen. Had she ever been fixated on anything when she was younger? Dancing perhaps, and adventure, stars above knew that she'd wandered off enough times as a filly to make her mother go gray before her time. Good things had come of that though...it's how she'd met Cres after all, and she would never give up her mate for anything. He completed her.
But Claves? She worried that such an obsession would only end badly for her little girl. Flutters weren't the only ones with wings after all...and if it wasn't just the glossy wings like her siblings she pined for...What if she got tangled up with a kalona!?
Del shook her head. There was no sense in worrying about things that might or might not come to pass. Claves was just so unlike her laid back big brothers. This was truly an eye opening experience.
"Like your father said, hopefully Pachelbel will come visit soon...It's been some time since we saw him. I'm not sure he even knows you all exist. You'll be quite the surprise for him." she said with a mischievous smile. "A good surprise though."Timpani fluttered her wings, causing them to buzz. All this talk of big brothers, and wings, and well everything, was so interesting, but it was becoming increasingly hard to concentrate as the earlier efforts of getting out of one's basket were starting to tell on the filly. She tired to restrain a yawn, but with no luck as it came out noisy and to some people attention grabbing. Although that hadn't been her intention at all.
"M'sorry..." she muttered looking sheepish. She didn't want anyone to think she was bored, it was just becoming very hard to focus on anything. She nuzzled more into Papa, but he was so warm and comfortable that her eyes began to droop. Her head dropped a bit, but she immediately snapped it back up trying to stay awake. "Not tired!" she protested, even though no one had asked, or possibly even noticed that she was starting to drift off.
Maybe if she got moving she'd perk back up? She slowly pushed away from Cres and stumbled over to her brother and leaned on his other side opposite Claves. While she was a little worried her sister might try to tug on her wings again, the need to cuddle outweighed her concern. Unfortunately it had the opposite effect and she felt even sleepier now nestled against her brother.Del hid a smile and shook her head. "Get some rest, little ones, you've had a busy morning. We can talk more later." she said going over and nuzzling her three little foals.

Claves squeaked and whined a bit at their parents and all this talk of their other brothers not being around...at least one was close. That was good enough for her. Now it was only that vain hope of him showing up sooner rather than later. She raised her head again, looking between her parents and eventually settling her gaze on her sister as she joined the cuddle pile.
"Tippppppiiiii~!" She sang out, stretching her neck to n** at her sister's ears and wings again. "Tipiii~ Promise to teach me to flyyyy~" She beamed, blatantly refusing to believe any other word told to her about wings. She could grow them. No...she WOULD grow them! She was just...a late bloomer! Yes!Cres sighed at the pile of foals and moved closer to lay down with them as well. He couldn't help but feel a little exasperated over this obsession and looked up at his mate, noting the same expression crossing her features. At least he wasn't alone in his concern for her. Perhaps a miracle would happen and she was just a late bloomer...or something else entirely.
He eventually looked back down at the foals and nuzzled each of them gently. "Get some rest...the day is still far from over, but you're all exhausted. A short nap will do you all good and then you can play some more." He smiled, willing to stay close to them just as he had done in the past for Beat and Pach.

Timpani squeaked and shied away a bit from Lyric's side. "Claves! Don't do that!" she said looking hurt. "That hurts, and I'll never learn how to do anything if you keep nibbling them down to nothing." she pouted and secretly wondered if Claves was trying to hurt her wings on purpose so they wouldn't be there anymore. If they fell off of her would that mean that Claves would get them? She didn't think that was possible but who knew.
"And I can't fly, Claves. They aren't that big." she said looking at her wings and buzzing them. "And I don't think that's how wings work." she said looking between the parents then back to her sister. "You aren't gonna get wings! You're like Lyric and one of our big brothers. You just didn't get them, Claves, but that doesn't mean you aren't pretty. I think you're a very nice color." she said coming back and settling next to Lyric again. At least he didn't try to eat her wings or ask her to teach him things she didn't even know how to do. She wished Claves would stop talking about wings...it was getting boring.
"But I'm not tired!" she said in protest to the parents wanting them to take a nap, which was followed by a yawn. "Maybe a little..." she said nuzzling Cres and giving her daddy a smile. "You'll be here when we wake up?" she asked eyes wide. "Of course, Little One." Del said to her daughter. "One of us will always be nearby." she said with a smile. She nuzzled each of her new foals then moved just a bit away and waits for Cres to join her.
Once the little ones were settled she looked worriedly at her mate. "I don't know what we should do about Claves." she said. "Hopefully it is just a phase and she'll grow out of it, but hopefully not before ruining things between her and her sister, and probably Beat as well if he ever finds us." she frowned. She worried about her other son, a little too naive at times, a sweet boy, but she worried he wouldn't be able to find his way on a bright summer's day with apples on the path to show him the way.
"Do you think we should just ignore it and see what she does? Of course I don't like her nipping at Timpani's wings...she could damage them and I don't know any healers that would be able to fix them..." she looked up at Cres and hoped he had an idea or two. She was completely at a loss.

Claves frowned and tucked her head down against Lyric's side, effectively hiding her face from view. A muffled apology could be heard as the filly curled in on herself in an attempt to further hide herself completely. She didn't want to hurt her sister...or her pretty wings...she was just excited and curious, that was all. She continued to lay in silence listening to Timpani and their mother, only stirring and whining slightly when Crescendo got up and moved away from them.
"Daddy..." She called out softly, peeking over Lyric and looking pitiful and abandoned."I'm not going anywhere, Claves, close your eyes and get some rest. I'll still be nearby when you wake up again." Crescendo smiled warmly at the pile of foals before turning his attention back to his mate and nuzzling her softly. "I don't know, Del...as far as I know, none of my siblings ever acted this way. It's a wonder she hasn't tried nipping at my wings yet." He looked back over his shoulder, buzzing them slightly.
"We'll just need to keep watch, intervene where needed..." He mumbled, the concern for her growing considerably. "Hopefully she outgrows this..."

Lyric hummed deeply once Timpani moved closer, wiggling to close any gaps of space between him and his sisters. His head shook slightly to throw his mane to one side as Claves reached over to n** Timpani's ears and wings. Bright eyes closed and a muzzle nuzzled into Cres when his father reached down to nuzzle each one of them. Lyric shifted when Timpani moved away and spoke, sighing gently once Claves hid her face. Clearing his throat, the quiet brother glanced between his sisters, head shaking. "You two are both beautiful and unique. Wings are beautiful, but so are the lack of them. Isn't mama pretty? Look how happy she is without wings." Tiredly nuzzling into his sisters, he had no idea if his words helped or not. Probably not, but it was an attempt. Right now, he wanted to sleep.

Del glanced back and smiled at her youngesters. "Yes, I'm very happy without wings, dearhearts." she said with a nod, "get some rest right now though, darlings~" she then turned back to Cres and nuzzled more into him. "I hope so, for her sake." she said.
She then looked up at him and chuckled a bit. "Probably because she can't reach them. Let's hope by the time she's tall enough she'll quit nipping." she shook her head. "Let's hope for a lot of things." she said looking over at her oldest daughter.Tipi smiled at her brother and nuzzled into him happily. "I think you're wonderful too, Lyric!" she said then wiggled a bit to get more comfortable.
She wasn't sure what to make of Claves' apology. If she was really sorry she wouldn't have done it again. She'd already said once that she didn't like it. "It's okay, Claves." She said anyway, but it didn't sound all that sincere.
She yawned again and tucked her head on Lyric's back. Time to worry about it later after a little nap.

Claves laid her ears back, hiding her face again. She felt bad and it didn't sound like her sister was really forgiving her at all. It didn't take much longer before she was yawning and then out light a light with her siblings.Crescendo smiled and moved as close to his mate's side as he physically could, smiling at their foals once more. Even with the problems they were sure to experience with Claves, he was glad to have little ones running around the grove again. It brought back memories of their eldest two getting into all sorts of trouble.
"Now to get some time together before they wake up again." He murmured, nuzzling Rondel affectionately.
