It was beyond him to think he'd managed to be a sire to foals, would they look like him? Oh, he hoped not.
"I want them all to be as beautiful as you." He said aloud, clearly lost in his own train of thoughts, hearing the question whose weight did not go unnoticed. Where did someone go from here? Was there some place they go to have children? It was times like this that he had a mentor, someone who could steer him in the right direction on what he was doing wrong and right - to have precise answers like he were on a mission. Things were so simple when someone else was there to plan and put in the footwork for these things.
Yet....there was no such soul.
Just he and her, and she trusted him to make his own waves in life.
Lifting his head he looked to the horizons from where his eyes could see, an expanse like no other before them. Shadow would do what he did best in life...he would struggle; but now, he needed to struggle harder. She knew he would not let anything happen to her, or their growing family - a promise he intended to never break. He'd killed for less than this, and being as it was as important as his own heart....he felt sorry for the first thing that would try to break his word.
Looking down to Abattie, his lips curled into a smile as he pressed the bridge of his nose against her own; staring into her eyes. "We go home." He said simply...while they did not really have a home together - they could make one. "A home for us...for them." His gaze shifted only momentarily to her swelling abdomen. "Then...find your father. I need to thank him for some things....and let him know you are alright." Shadow's thought process continued, removing his face from hers to circle around her; sliding his side along her own to stand together. "Then we prepare for the seasons ahead...prepare for tiny lives." Shadow was still a creature of habit, and when he wasn't running himself ragged he was preparing; he hated the feeling it gave him when he wasn't ready for what life had to throw at him.
"...and rest. I don't know how you deal with all of these....emotions." He offered a weak yet sympathetic smile to her, certainly with as many as she had....and he who had limited....she must have been tired all. the. time.
