 Kiyaka Mayazaki Theme song It's not that I don't like you... "Do not lie to me," she said, her calm voice filled with venom. STanding and walking over to him, Kiyaka's cold eyes looked him over, glaring. "I wonder how Melody would react to find that her beloved doctor, the man she died for, was sleeping around with his students? If she would be heartbroken, betrayed, if she would be happy she was rotting beneath the earth!" With a growl, Kiyaka snatched the book from his lap, opening to another page. "Dearest Doctor Fields, I'll return to you soon. Dearest Doctor Fields, I miss you more and more every day. Dearest Doctor Fields, I'm so frightened out here on my own, but I know for you, it is worth it. Dearest Doctor Fields, I'm scared, but thoughts of you keep me brave. Dearest Doctor Fields, wait for me to return before you give your heart away, if it's the last thing I'll do, I'll make you love me back!" She threw the book at him, somehow keeping it closed. "You don't deserve any of the adoration she showered upon you." ...it's just that you're in my way. OOC:

 The doctor was on his feet in seconds, resisting the incredible urge to strike her. "Ein never asked for her affection!" he yelled, his German accent getting stronger. "I did what I could to put distance between us, I made sure she knew we could never be together, and I barely knew her, Goddammit!" he yelled in German. "And even if I am with a student, who the hell are you to tell me to do anything? You're not exactly a saint, Kiyaka!"

"Shut up." Fields seethed. "Shut the f_ck up! I didn't ask for this! It's not my goddamn fault she loves me! Even if I knew, I can't babysit her all day just because she's in love with me! How was I supposed to know she'd do this? I never asked her for this! She never even showed any signs of doing this on her own! I didn't.... I never...." All the weight finally settling, Fields dropped his head and held it with his hands. "I never knew..."

Kiyaka Mayazaki Theme song It's not that I don't like you... Regaining her composure and setting a hand on Fields' shoulder, Kiyaka sat beside him and looked away. "I know you didn't. You didn't ask her to love you, but that doesn't change that she did. No matter what you do, you can't change the chances that she's dead." Standing again, she lifted the book from the ground and pulled out the delicate necklace. After examining it for a short while, she took one of his hands and set the silver necklace on his large palm, closing it with her own small hands. "You need to end things with the boy, Adler. He will only get hurt. Meanwhile, I'm going to try and find the girl. If we find her, you'll be the first to know, I promise. Just...just be careful who you spend your time with." ...it's just that you're in my way. OOC:

Fields stared at the necklace with a daze. He numbly nodded to Kiyaka's words until part of them registered in his mind. "Vhat?" he breathed, reverting to English. "Ein vill do no such thing! Caesar needs me just as much as ein need him! If ein leave him like this then it vould only harm him more!"

"And what if Melody is alive?" she asked softly, picking up a small picture of the smiling girl taken right before she left for her investigation. "How are you going to explain to her that the reason why you can't love her back is because you've become involved in an illegal relationship with a male child?" Setting it back onto the desk, she sighed and looked back up at him. "Adler, he doesn't need you. You just think he does because of his 'past'. How is he supposed to learn how to deal with it if you baby him? There are many students who have managed to grow from their bad experiences on their own. I mean, look at me. I got past it all by becoming a teacher. No one helped me once, and now I'm the principal of a prestigious academy for gifted children. No one helped Melody, and she grew from the terrified German orphan who ate once a week and only when she did 'favors' for clients, into a sweet, beautiful young woman. Even one of our newest students, Mr. Lock Han, has grown from his painful past into a talented, intelligent young man with love and happiness." Kiyaka shook her head, picking up the picture again only to hand it to him. "We all must grow on our own. It turns us into adults. All you're doing is convincing him he loves you because he thinks he needs you." ...it's just that you're in my way. OOC:

Infuriated, the doctor slammed a fist down against her desk. "They grow with the help of others!" he argued in German. "No one can overcome a hard past alone, dammit. They need support, they need to learn how to trust again and who to trust. They need someone they can confide in, and that is how they grow! If you don't know that then you have no reason to be the head of a school filled with these poor people!"
Fields hesitated. Everything he said completely contradicted what he was raised to believe. He shouldn't care about any of these people! All he should be focused on is Decius! But he wasn't. He was focused on someone else, someone he was being told he couldn't be with. And it just angered him to the core.
"I don't expect you to understand." Fields murmured as he slowly straightened up. "I don't fully understand it myself, but I know for a fact that that boy can't climb out of that hole in his heart alone. If I left him like he was then he would still be eating the hearts of others, but at least he's trying to change. He's trying because there's someone he can trust. Now if you're still against it then you'll have to look for another teacher."

Kiyaka Mayazaki Theme song It's not that I don't like you... Sighing and returning to her desk, Kiyaka returned to sorting out Melody's memorial papers. "Help him if you must. But if I am met with any reason to believe that a romantic relationship is occurring, then you will leave my school immediately, and you will never see the boy again. Is that understood?" Holding out a small slip of paper, she sighed. "Miss Shell's memorial is tomorrow night. You must be present, as you were the closest thing she had to family. The boy may not come, as he has no reason to. No students are permitted to attend, actually. I expect you to be there, or it will be another strike against you, and at this rate, you can't risk another. Now then, I was told to ask if you plan on involving yourself in the ongoing investigation into finding her. If you say no, you will not have another chance to be involved, and will know nothing of the case until it is either closed or determined cold." ...it's just that you're in my way. OOC:

Mayah Playah You know what's going on with Paula Deen? What's this famous drama going on? Why's everyone mad at her? Ignoring the threat against his job - a job that he didn't necessarily even need now that he had all the pieces laid out - Fields took the paper and looked at it. Some nagging part of him believed that no students were allowed because of the young demon under his wing, and some part of him believe - no, knew - Kiyaka held a grudge for his feelings sending her away from Melody. It didn't matter. She could do whatever she wanted, yell as much as she felt, and threatened all she could, he wouldn't let it affect his decisions, and she would soon have to realize this if she hadn't already.
Still looking at the paper, the doctor gave the slightest of nods. "Ein vill do vhat ein can to help." he murmured.

Nodding, Fields rested against his seat, although rested wasn't entirely the correct term. Part of his thoughts were on Melody, yes, but a good amount were on Caesar. He was no doubt stuck at his apartment with nothing to do but watch that demon. Nngh, if only he could call him and tell him what was happening. But how could he even describe this situation to him?

He narrowed his eyes at the woman. "He vill be fine, und since ve are on the topics of threats, Kiyaka, ein must tell you this now: if anyzing happens to that boy, it vill be much more than grades and pink slips you vill be vorrying about." he warned with olive flames in his eyes.

Standing calmly and walking around her desk and over to him, Kiyaka's clothes began to transform, returning to her usual office outfit of a black blazer, black skirt, pantyhose, tall black heels, and black-rimmed glasses perched on her nose. "If I am frightened of anything, Herr Doktor," she said, her voice sounding less like hers and more like like a combination of voices, " it is not of a puny man like you. Do not threaten me. If I choose to kill the boy, I will. If I choose to expel it, it will be done. You do not control me, and your threats frighten me little." Leaning back on her desk and crossing her arms, she spoke again, her voice once again back to normal. "I am not a timid little woman who will allow you to do what you want, brat. I make the rules. Not you." ...it's just that you're in my way. OOC:
