Her smile unwavering, Lette nodded along to the stream of information that the vet was supplying her with. About to open her mouth to inquire just what she should expect in regards to feeding her future protégé, Lette felt a persistent movement against her bosom. Ah, her cell phone. Pulling it from the inside pocket of her jacket, the mechanic glanced at the interface of the device, her eyes focusing on the reminder she had set for herself before coming into the Lab.
“Get your butt back to work”
Chuckling to herself at the sassiness that she was serving herself, she returned the phone back to where it had been. She had a tendency to get engrossed in the tasks she had on hand and forget herself in her work or interests. As such, she would occasionally set scheduling alarms for herself to drag her attention back to what she needed to be doing next. In this occasion, she needed to return to the garage before the old man started in on her with his usual grouchiness.
“Honestly, you’ve been wonderful. It’s a lot to take in, but I assure you that I’m fully committed and will do my best to put some thought into what I choose.” Reaching out for the papers, she gave a cursory glance at the names before folding the paper and sticking it into her jacket to join her phone.
Standing up and reaching out to shake Zeke’s hand, Lette smiled again before picking her helmet off the ground and preparing to leave. “Again, thank you for everything. I would stay longer and ask for a tour of the place, or bug you with more questions, but I really need to get back to work. If I have any questions, I will definitely give you a call. It was great meeting you Zeke, unless you can think of anything else before I leave?”
Grabbing the case containing the soul glass and essence, the brunette arranged everything in her arms before cocking an inquisitive eyebrow at the man across from her, not wanting to be rude and leave without a formal response.

The quick reveal and return of the woman's phone to its place in her jacket was abrupt but amusing. A mechanic was a busy profession and barring that note, he almost felt safe to say the woman rising to stand before him was a busy body in general. Standing up himself to take the offered hand, Zeke's constant smile never wavered and he paused for but a moment to consider if there was anything else.
"I think I got everything in one go. You've got everything you need, I have the paperwork to file, and if anything comes up we have each others contact information. I think the only thing left to say is don't be a stranger! The Lab tends to have a couple gatherings each year and invites are sent out to everyone. I'm sure everyone would love to meet you!"
After dropping Lette's hand, Zeke slipped around his desk once more to walk the newest Lab member to the door. He opened it for her as well, letting in a hot, sticky blast of summer air in the process. "Damn it's hot." He would be retreating to the cafeteria for a cold drink the first moment he had. "It was nice meeting you, Lette. Take care of those two, ya hear? I hope to see them and you back soon!"
