The birds face was held in a set smile, eager, with a flash of mischief and pride in it. If just moving her wings was all it took, she'd be in the air in no time. Easy as pie! "Can do. Just you wait; when I come back again, I'll be going just as fast as you." Wait, she was planning on coming back? Guess it was decided now... No going back.
Her movements faltered as she watched Spitfire raise herself. "I can...? I-I mean, you bet I can!" Immediately stopping, Sparrow copied the movements made to lift herself up a meter or so, holding the height for no more than 15 seconds before dropping back to the ground, her breathing strained. "So... A-am I a natural or what?" There was clearly pride in her voice at the time she spent in the air.

Spitfire chuckled at the youth's spirit. She certainly wouldn't doubt the harpy's ability to come back faster then her, she wasn't sure what the capabilities of this strange creature were, but it would likely take a lot of practice to get there. She flashed a smile, happy that Sparrow was coming out of her shell and building confidence. Spitfire clapped her hands together after Spitfire set her feet back on the ground, "That was very good, and a graceful landing." Spitfire couldn't count how many time she'd seen someone trip over their hooves when they tried to set themselves back down. Confidence wasn't a bad thing when it came to flying, in Spitfire's opinion. "Great! We'll switch you back to the wing movements again. In, out, up, down, in, out, up, down," Spitfire called out as she did the action as well.

Breathing in through her nose, out through her mouth, the bird seemed to be just glowing with pride from all these complements she was receiving. Of course she was this good; it came naturally. She did feel a certain connection to the air after all and a wanting to be in it. Flashing a thumbs up to her instructor, she began copying the movements again, trying her best to keep in rhythm with the words.
In, out, up, down. In, out, up, down.
