Aquitaine stood quietly and watched Sarvara get her first good look at the ocean. The water was far too vast to even guess at the full size of the ocean, but Aquitaine was certain that few, whether aquatic or flying Soquili could easily traverse it's breadth. She was curious about it, had been curious about it since she had been a foal, but even the few aquatic Soquili that she had met had not been able to answer all of her questions about the ocean. So, for the time being, it would remain a relative mystery to her.
Seeing Sarvara's look Aquitaine nodded her head. "It's safe to go in. The waves are quite calm today, as is the wind, so there is no chance of the waves increasing for some time. The water will feel quite cold, at least that's what I keep being told by those who have no previously experienced ocean swimming." She said with a bit of a laugh. "I don't feel the cold much anymore. Except perhaps in winter, but during those months I rarely enter the water." Mostly she didn't enter the ocean in the winter because it was too cold, but also there could be quite nasty storms blowing through during those months and the ocean was dangerous during those times.
Aquitaine herself stepped forward into the water. This was when she felt the most relaxed, with the waves gently lapping at her legs. "This close to the beach there isn't a lot of ocean life to see, though I do find the occasional fish." She explained. "But further out, where the ocean floor drops off there can be all kinds of creatures seen swimming about."

Savara might as well have been standing on the shores of some alien planet. She didn't swim much even in the waters of the Kawani lands; she never felt a great need to. It was just water, after all. She drank when she was thirsty, and she bathed when she was dirty. But that was all.
But something about the ocean...
It smelled warm, despite the warning given by Aquitaine. Not warm... lively. Like the water itself was alive. It moved differently; not like a river. A river was constantly moving, but always in a steadfast march in one direction. This massive green water moved like a living creature. The waves beating in and out against the shore; it reminded her of a breathing.
For a few precious moments, there was peace and quiet in her head. It was perhaps the only time when she wasn't actively hunting that she could enjoy the silence. So peaceful it was, that she almost didn't realize she was even experiencing calmness until Hidari spoke up.
Now! Push her in!
Sarvara felt a growl rumble in her chest. She was angry at Hidari for ruining her moment. "NO," she snapped back, before she even realized she was speaking out loud. She immediately clamped her mouth shut and widened her glowing yellow eyes.
Great, there goes any chance you had at making a friend, Migi scolded. Now you've let your true nature show.
Now she knows you're crazy, Hidari clarified.
