Listening with perked ears, the stallion looked over to Mikasi and shook his head slowly. He didn't mind the gift and honestly liked those kind of things, he was more worried about Astraea then the small gift she was given. She never had a true friend nor did she have much access to outsiders or those who were nice enough to give gifts. She was a mystic to the family and that meant she had to perform rituals and other duties. She was important to the family as well as to her father and there was no exception to that what so ever. "I am glad you gave her a gift. I think it's something she needed. As I have said before, she has been alone ever since her sister went on her journey and I was recently informed that she has a mate now. I suppose it's nice to see your children grow up and branch out, but I prefer to have them around me. Anyway enough about me.." He glanced over again with his white eyes giving him a once over before turning to his daughter. "She is strong, but not as strong as her sister's Nidawi or Jedediah. I don't want anything bad to happen to her. Though I suppose the only way for one to learn is through pain." He spoke softly.
"Even as a friend you can't be around her at all times, but I suspect you already know that. You should see the world even if it's not with my daughter at your side. The land you came from kept you on a tight leash and now you have a freedom most do not. Use it to your advantage before you become an old geezer like me." He was trying to be as brutally honest as he could right now. He didn't know what the stallion's intentions were, but he needed to grow as an individual. He was still young and naive and there was too much to see as well as experience in the world. "This leads me to my question..What are your intentions towards my daughter? What if you happen to fall for her? What if she falls for you? What would you do?" He paused and looked towards Mikasi with a vacant expression. "Anything is possible." He simply said.
Sighing softly, the young mare peeked over at her father and Mikasi wondering what they were talking about. It more then likely involved her and this was a moment where she wanted to just run away. Lowering her head a little bit, she let out a tired yawn. It was time for her to rest and maybe get a little shut eye while those two spoke. Lowering herself to the ground, she snuggled up close to the pelt feeling the warmth it was giving even if it wasn't around her. It was probably the best gift she had ever been given. Smiling, she rested her head on a rock beside her and looked over to the two once more. She kept a stare on Mikasi wondering exactly what he was thinking right now. The thought made her stomach flutter a little bit, but she ignored the feeling the best she could. It didn't take long before she felt herself drifting further and further towards sleep.
It wasn't until then that she realized she still needed to talk to him and ask him all her unanswered questions. Sadly, those would have to wait for another day.

Unsure how to answer the male paced a bit, gazing up to the sky before speaking softly. "I..have never been in love before..but, if she loves me and, I love her..nothing on this earth would keep me from her. No matter what it took I would stand beside her. She is strong and beautiful..a bit lonely and unsure of herself but, I hope to change that. My heart is set on exploring but, this place..and Astraea..are the closest feeling of 'Home' I have ever had." Eyes glowing, he smiled delicately as his heart ached. Speaking about this so openly it made Mikasi realize he might have already fallen. He might have already become utterly lost within her..which was scary but, thrilling. To have found such a connection..he felt himself growing each day he spent with her. Becoming even stronger and less naive. "I think I've already fallen.." Words barely a whisper his eyes looked the dozing mare over, heart swelling with admiration and feelings. "I want to be around her all the time..a selfish as it may seem."

The older stallion thought this might happen. He wasn't against it, but he wasn't entirely all for it either. At least not yet. He wanted to make sure it's something his daughter wanted and not just the stallion. Though he was grateful to him for letting him know even if he didn't ask the stallion for his feelings directly. "Your feelings are safe with me. I will not let her know how you feel and I'm not fully against it nor will I question it. I just want you to be sure when the time comes." He told him with a firm not wondering what his daughter would say if she had found out his feelings. "Selfish as your feelings may be...that is what happens when it comes to them." He looked over to his daughter who appeared to be almost asleep making him sigh. "I believe my daughter is asleep. Perhaps we have spoken for a little longer then I would have liked." He almost frowned at his words, but his expression remained vacant. Walking a little away from the stallion, he lowered his head and placed on his mask letting it shift into the right spot before moving back over to the stallion.
"I must go right now. Are you going to stay with her through the night? If so, get to bed at a reasonable time. You need your rest." He nodded before beginning to walk away. "Have a good night Mikasi. The spirits are watching over you as we speak." He told him before finally disappearing into the woods.

Dipping his head in respect Mikasi'Nell gave a small nod "Yes..I will watch over her and make sure she gets to somewhere safer." He felt an odd mixture of emotions as Hania left. Even when the male had vanished into the darkness..the younger stallion stood watching and, listening as the forest's night life came alive. Feeling a bit chilly the stallion finally moved back to the slumbering mare. With a fond smile he gently tugged the rabbits pelts around her..cloaking her form with the warm fur. "Sleep well.." Settling next to her..he offered his warmth and, stayed ever vigilant through the night. Silently trying to sift through all he felt. Imagining what this mare, whom had so easily captured his heart..would do when she learned of his true feelings? Only time would tell.
