Kadenza watched as the male transformed, easily reading the guilt in his face, "She has a family now, a bit one. If you are related I would suggest going to see her, no matter what it was you did..." She added, reading his guilt clear enough to know he was uncomfortable about facing her. "If you are afraid she will be mad, you might as well go see... cause she will be mad to know that you were here and didn't stop... And if you truly are sorry, it will feel better to apologize."

Gamma shook her head. "What I did... is unforgivable." His heart was heavy as he was reminded how horrible his sins were. "No amount of apologizing... can make up for it." Leaving a foal to die not far off from a desert... was there a worse crime besides purposely going and killing one?

Kenzi frowned. "Its surprising what that family forgives... You should see the new family members they have who have done worse things than any could conceive..."

Gamma stiffened up, forcing himself to explain exactly what he did. "I abandoned her when she was four days old. I left her to die." Body, mind, and soul all ached at the reminder of his burden. Beta had been the first of many. So many had been left behind... "There is nothing I can say to amend that." "I didn't know" and "It wasn't my fault" just sounded hollow and crude, given the situation. It was just dredging up bad memories...

Kadenza listened quietly and was quiet and solemn for some moments afterwards as she thought what he said through. Suddenly she stood up. "Come, if they have any problems with you they shall have to go through me, but you are hardly a murdered. Paimon has done worse than you and they still accept him."

Paimon? Who the hell was that? Whatever. Apparently Kadenza wasn't going to leave him alone until he conceded. Gamma sighed, slowly and reluctantly getting to his feet. "Fine... Lead the way." Hopefully this would be over quickly and he could get on with his purposeless life.

Kenzi quickly led the way to Dea's land and stopped when she got to Delta and Rogan on patrol. "This is Beta's brother and he's here to see her, can you have her come out?" She requested kindly.
Rogan nodded, looked the male up and down, and took off to find his neice.

Gamma lifted his gaze to inspect the winged male that had colors much too similar to Beta's blanket to be coincidental. And he wasn't disappointed--as soon as the other male left, the winged one piped up.
"Hi, Uncle... um..." Delta paused, apparently realizing that he didn't know his uncle's name--and obviously getting flustered. "U-um... sorry, I forgot everything, so I don't know a lot of names still..."
Gamma shook his head. "You don't have to apologize. We've never met. I'm Gamma. You are... Beta's son?"
Delta nodded happily. "Uh-huh! I'm Delta Ekundayo. Nice to meet you, Uncle Gamma!" He turned and smiled at his mother as she and Rogan approached. He blinked in confusion when she suddenly froze.
Beta just stood there, stunned. This was... this was a pattern she didn't ever expect to see again...
Gamma met her gaze and remained in a sort of stunned staring contest for a while, but eventually, the stallion lost his nerve. "I... I should go," he mumbled, backing up and clearly planning to turn around and bolt. He just... couldn't do it...

Kenzi turned and headbutted the male back towards his sister, looking up only long enough to look at Beta. "He's worried you hate him." She said, putting her head to his shoulder again and pushing him towards her,.

Gamma dug his hooves into the ground, resisting the pushing. His deep pink eyes were wide with terror as he was forced closer to the sister that he'd abandoned. She just kept staring at him with that unreadable expression...
Beta remained quiet for several minutes. "You're late," she said finally, a smile forming on her face. "And of course I don't hate you, silly. You came back. You're late, but you still came."
Relief. Ridiculous amounts of relief washed away huge chunks of his burden. So much of his burden that he collapsed at the absence of it. He barely held on to a few strands of consciousness, listening to bits of the garbled conversation. The only word he got out clearly was Delta saying "cart"--which of course made no sense. But the important thing was Beta... Beta forgave him. He could die that moment and be satisfied...

Kenzi grinned and backed away slowly. Her work was done and she took her cue to leave.

Beta smiled at the retreating mare. "Thank you," she said warmly. If it wasn't for her, she might've never seen Gamma again...
