Aki was proud of her abilities to charm her father although whe was pretty
sure that he didnt completely trust her words. Her mother was the one who
had actually made it happen though. She watched Dante as he replied. He
had told her he was starting sword training when they were younger and it
had made her sad because she wanted to spend more time with him and she
knew the sword training would take up a lot of time. She smiled at the
memory, "So you did finally finish, thats good to hear," she said without
thinking. "Its nice to hear that you have done so much. I couldnt imagine
what it would be like to surpass all my goals."

█ ĐÄŅȚË ĶŮŖÖ █ ▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▂ ▁ Dante was taken aback by the smiled she showed him as she talked about how good it was to hear that he actually finished it. It made him think of what it would of been like if they had still been friends and made up like he had wanted to for a long time but he didn't think it would happen. "I have had a lot of time to do it all. I'm sure you have surpass most of the ones you set for yourself since we last saw each other." He said to her almost as if he was trying to make her feel better about something. He didn't expect himself to say it so because of it he went right into eating his food to distract himself a little so he wouldn't see her reaction fully.

When she realized she was smiling she made herself stop. There was nothing to be happy about. Dante wasnt her friend anymore so there was no reason for her to smile. She frowned when he tried to make her feel better. There was no way her father let her accomplish all the goals she had set, mostly because she was a girl and according to her father some of those things were only allowed for men. "Well I guess I did accomplish everything I was allowed to do, but its nothing important." She drank fom her glass and then set it down. "I'll be excusing myself now," she said as she saw her fathers furious expression. "Will you be coming now Dante or will you have some one escort you later on?"

Her mother waved them off as they left. Akira couldnt help but laugh as soon as the doors closed. Making her father angry was one of those things she liked to do when she was bored and it was easier to make him angry when they had company. As she was laughing she remembered she wasnt alone, she cleared her throat and led Dante to her sanctuary, the library. The one place where she could be alone and was seldom bothered except yesterday. She opened the large doors letting Dante in before getting inside and closing the doors behind her. She knew that there were many emotions that they were both feeling.
She walked to the window that she was always painting from. She took a deep breath trying to calm herself. "Why? Why did you come?" she asked still facing window her expression angry. "It could have been anyone else but why you? I'm pretty sure you're hating this too. Maybe if things had been the same as in the past it would be ok, but not anymore," she said.

▁ ▂ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █ ĐÄŅȚË ĶŮŖÖ █ ▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▂ ▁  Dante watched her as she started to laugh as there wasn't a care in the world. He found himself captivated by her for that one moment as he looked at her. He smiled to himself when she cleared her throat and lead him to a room. It was a large library that was also used for her painting since he saw the things still around. He walked with her until she came to a window. She didn't look at him as she looked out it.
Due to the fact that she hadn't he was able to look at her without needing to look away. He was finding that he was attractive to him despite his taste he had developed in women. None looked like her but he had to admit she was but when he was able to he shook it away from his head as he heard her talk. He let her continue to let whatever she wanted to say come out until it was his turn. "I came because it was my duty as a Prince for my Kingdom. It every well could have been anyone else but my own feelings don't matter when it comes to my kingdom and the people in it." He stopped as he looked away from her back that was facing him. "The past was the past. I can't do anything to change what happened even though I wanted....." He stopped before he could say what he had wanted to tell her after the fight had happened. He didn't think it was the right time to tell her that he wanted to be with her again. It wasn't something that seemed it could be done now. "You could have easily just ignored me instead of talking to me like this. I don't think you want to hear me speak to you even if we are in this situation that I have no control over. I am not the King." He said to her thinking she wouldn't press farther on what he wanted to tell her. Being alone with her made him act differently and he wasn't comfortable with wanting to tell her what he wanted to tell her when he came back to talk to her years ago.

She knew he was right she could've ignored him but she was instead choosing to confront him. Her face softened again before turning around again. "I'm sorry I probably shouldn't be so confrontational. It really isnt your fault after all, though it would've helped if you had never showed up," she sighed. "But I guess it cant be helped. I was actually planning on running away earlier today, I wasnt ready to see you yet, and I'm still not ready. Even if you say whats past is past I cannot simply ignore what happened its the whole reason for this mess. If it werent for that we'd be able to talk normally and not be this awkward," she said her voice was calm but on the inside she was nervous. She had never talked to anyone about this and she wasnt sure how he'd react. "You hated me thats why I never went back," she said quietly. "So I just learned to deal with it."

Akira watched him and wasnt surprised at how heated this conversation was getting. It was years of frustration being let out. Even though she wasnt close to him anymore she could tell that he was really hurt by her. "I couldnt go back, especially not if you hated me. What's the point of going somewhere you aren't wanted," she said hiding the fact that she had a fever at that time. "Even though I said that I learned to deal with it, there is no dealing with losing your best friend over some fight. I dont even remember what it was that started it but I think it was something you had done. If you'd have apologized I wouldn't have said... that," she said calmly. She was surprised to hear that he had gotten in trouble for her sake. "Dante, I'm sorry, I really did want to go back, but I just couldnt not at that time," she quietly admitted.

"I don't remember what had happened either but the matter of me apologizing to you....You didn't let me that day before you said it. You just can't say that if I had apologized you wouldn't have said it. You just did it. There was no way I was going to say sorry when I was hurt like that by my best friend." He said a bit more anger in his voice again. She hadn't let him say he was sorry when he was with her. He looked away from her when she said she was sorry and that she wanted to go back. "What could have stopped you, Akira?" He said to her wanting to know the reason he didn't see her again after he had resolved on apologizing to her.

Akira tried hard to remember exactly how that day went but it was so hazy it was too long ago to remember, but what she did remember was that she never meant those hurtful words she said. She decided that she'd tell him what had happed that day she was supposed to return maybe that would clear somethings up for him. "I couldnt go see you because I was at home with a fever, ok. My mother and father wouldnt let me out of their sight and kept me in bed for a while. I asked them not to tell anyone I wasnt feeling well. After that I felt that you'd hate me so I didnt go back when I got better," she said. "I know you keep saying you didnt hate me but those were the feelings I had at the time. Which also could've come from the fact that I was angry at myself for saying those words to you in the first place," she was surprised by what she had said. She looked away from him wondering what he would say to this.

invadergir17 ▁ ▂ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █ ĐÄŅȚË ĶŮŖÖ █ ▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▂ ▁ Dante didn't remember what he had done to make her say anything like she hated him but it was the most hurtful thing and it was also he only thing that stuck out at him form his memories. He looked back at her as she spoke of being sick. For all he knew she could have died from a fever and he would have never know it. He still couldn't believe she decided on her own will that he would hate her so much after being her best friend for so long. He knew he had said nothing back to her when she said she hated him. He only ran away from her to cry alone at the hurt that was inside his chest. He could still feel it there but there were no more tears that could come from the pain that was present there as he stood there with her.
His eyes grew wide as she turned from him. He wasn't expecting that she of all people would become angry at themselves for saying something like that. "I-I didn't think something like that would happen to you... If I had known I would have came to you despite what you said to me...I'm sorry..." He whispered the last part to her. He wasn't sure what the reason for his sorry. He was just sorry for everything. He developed his own way of thinking as did she and neither of them were right about the other. She wasn't right that he hated her and he wasn't right that she never wanted to see him again. She had a reason for not being there at that time and it was a time she may have needed him. "I'm sorry Akira." He repeated again before turning his back on her so if she looked at him she wouldn't see the tears that he had thought to run out. "I need to take a rest from the long ride here. I'll see you in the morning...." He said in a slightly broken voice. He walked slowly away wondering what her reaction would be to this last comment. He wished that she would let him leave but part of him hoped she would stop him from leaving her there. If she did that she would see the pain he held and he didn't know what she would do if she had actually saw that.

Akira felt guilty when he apologized. There was no reason for him to be apologizing. Sure he wasnt there when she had a fever but it was because she made it that way. She didnt want him to worry. "You dont have to apologize for that I'm the one who didnt want you to find out," she said as he turned around. "If you feel bad about not being there please dont. It was my decision not to make you worry, back then," she said. She was now having trouble keeping her calm exterior. She wanted to cry, to apologize for it all, to turn back time and do it over, but she knew there was no way to undo it. She could hear that he was on the point of tears as well. When he said he was going to rest she was conflicted she knew she should let him rest, but part of her wanted him to stay. In the final moment she grasped his hand just like she had done many years before when they were still together. Her hand trembled from all of the emotions. She wasnt sure what more she would say to him but she didnt want him to leave, not like that.
