"Oh, I thought she was a teacher. I never met her aside from some of the festivals at the Academy." Once inside Azmodel was quite pleased with the purple inside. Purple was good. She liked purple. Oh, Roch had said something that piqued her curiosity. "You said Desu is a trick-or-treater. Isn't that what you are training in? What does it consist in?"

Roch looked at her, a cautious expression on his face--was she a hunter? He hadn't heard much about hunters lately, but that didn't mean they were gone-- "A trick or treater heads into the human world t'gather FEAR," he said slowly. "But they do other stuff, too--far as I can tell, they do whatever entertains them, really. One of the first things I did for trainin' was run a battle of the bands at school."

The Valkyrie didn't understand why her senior sometimes seemed cautious of her. Well, someone like Roch must be very popular and try to avoid too.... friendly, ghouls. "Ah, must be nice to do whatever you want to gather FEAR. Much more entertaining than to take it from the fallen warriors. But it means more creativity too. I'm sure I couldn't do that." Nah, really, she was better of waiting for the humans to die rather than plotting ways to get it from what she felt were pranks. "A battle of the bands? You didn't fight with your music instruments, did you? Only just the better musicians surely?"

"It was a battle," Roch said. "They beat on each other, sure, but it wasn't like anyone got seriously hurt." If anything, it'd been more funny than violent in his eyes. He glanced up as the waitress came and ordered his cinnamon roll, looking as if he was going to start drooling any moment.

Azmodel hid a smile behind her hand when she saw her "date" on the verge of drooling. she ordered some lemon and raspberry cheesecake. "Be courageous Roch, your rolls are coming". Thinking back on what she was told of the battle she had to ask : " But, why did they fight? Even if no one was seriously hurt..."

"Because fighting's a big part of this life," he said, looking at her seriously. "We fight, we survive--we fight, we grow stronger. No matter what y'choose t'do in the future, if y'plan on bein' a part of what this school REALLY does, y'better learn t'fight even when y'don't quite get why you're fightin," he told her. "Or even who."

"Well, I don't have problems with fighting. Or at least with the concept. My technique is another thing entirely." Azmodel cringed a little when she remembered her usual clumsiness. Not good when fighting. "But usually I like to know why. Unless we get attacked, of course. Then all bets are off." She put on a feral grin. Though far from war-hungry the Valkyrie would never let someone attacking her -or Halloween- go easily. Don't ruffle a Valkyrie's feathers.

He smiled slightly, wondering if he should tell her how often that happened. Then the food showed up--and he forgot about it entirely, staring happily at the massive cinnamon roll in front of him. It hid the plate from view. He grabbed his fork and dug in, finishing it far more slowly than he usually would finish something--but fast enough. "Aaaahh, man, worth it," he said, leaning back in his chair. "Absolutely worth it."

Azmodel watched Roch eat his roll with some fascination. He really seemed addicted : there were almost stars in his eyes when it was set in front of him. And when he dug in... Well, let's say the poor delicacy didn't stand a chance. "Same for the cheesecake. Fetch me next time you need an accomplice to come here !" Ice Queen Sorry for the delay. I kept waiting for a notification..

"Absolutely," Roch said cheerfully. "Nobody seems t'think a thing about it with you!" It was horrible to use an underclassman as a prop to get cinnamon rolls--but she liked the cheesecake, and that was a good excuse, right? "Some ghouls I couldn't get away with it," he admitted, brushing the frosting off of his lips with his thumb and licking it off. "Too tomboy-ish." Which was a shame, cuz he bet Lark would like it if she actually tried it--the cinnamon roll, that is. "I bet Terra would do it, though," he said thoughtfully. Finding accomplices for cinnamon roll runs was IMPORTANT okay. Even if it meant dragging your little sister around. DameClochette Yeah crying Wrong account.

"Well.. thank you?" The ghoul wasn't really sure if it was a compliment until Roch finished his thought. "Good thing I look the part. Even if.... Way too much damn glitter." Another shiver racked her just thinking about it. "Oh, who is Terra?" Ice Queen No problem, it's confusing XD]

"She's my little sister," he said. "She's a grim reaper, like me." He brought out his eyephone, scrolling through the pictures until it brought up the picture of his little sister. The blond reaper had face paint on and was dressed in Spanish style clothing. He showed it to Azmodel. "This is her," he said. "She'd be perfectly fine comin' in here, I'm sure," he decided. "She's pretty much a ghouly ghoul, herself."

"She's cute. And I'm sure she would fit right in here. Is it a family thing to become Grim Reaper? Mine was mainly made of Valkyries, of course. They got to help us manage the wings..."

"Depends on the parent?" he said. "Y'usually take after one or the other--tho I think reapers are a bit different an' don't naturally HAVE t'be the exact same type of reaper. But me, I woulda been a demon if I hadn't been a reaper--my ma was one. Terra woulda been a skeleton," he said thoughtfully, picturing his little sister as a skeleton with a curious expression. "She probly woulda enjoyed it."

"Seems like it indeed, it would suit her well. I could have been a monster for sure but... Not my thing." She made a face.
