For a second, Freya thought he had a good point. Maybe they shouldn't haggle. Maybe they should take the perfect rings and go. But then she realized the truth.
"I thinks.. the chances are really high, actually." Freya whispered softly. Her cheeks blushed with red when she caught him looking at her. "Because, I thinks, we looks at rings, and we sees perfect ones.. because we are gettings married. And that is what is perfect." She stuck the tip of her tongue out for a moment. "I thinks if yeh wraps a strings around my finger and marries me with it, I might finds it perfect."

"The only way I'd tie a string to your finger is if I am on the other end of the string ~," he pointed out quietly as he leaned and kissed the corner of her lips. Tied to Freya for all eternity physically and metaphorically? Yes please.
Kettil let out a small happy sound and shifted his shoulders, "Let's try it." His face became stoic and serious for a moment as he called out to the Clerk.
Ms. Horrid wandered out, "Oooh, I see we have made a decision?"
"..Could say that." Kettil said trying to be impassive.

It was time to put her poker face back on. So Freya tried to tone down the glow of happiness that had settled over her, and attempted a super serious look. What she managed, instead, looked a lot like the smoulder.

Ms. Horrid raised an eyebrow over at Freya, "I think your ghoul is flirting with me."
Kettil glanced at Freya and saw her voice, "...It's her normal face," he stuck his tongue out at Freya playfully before he returned his attention to the Clerk. And the haggling started.
Ms. Horrid started at a high and mighty price and Kettil refused to budge from a certain range of seeds. Probably because it was what he had saved up to this point.
He did odd jobs for folk around campus, he did work for the tattoo artist that lived in his village every other weekend. Kettil essentially did everything short of whoring himself out. He had the seeds, even just barely to pay what Horrid was asking for.
But he didn't want to. No matter if it would have been worth the price and then some, at least to him and his sense of sentimental value.
"...290 Seeds, and no higher," he finished firmly.
The clerk paused speculatively, "Mmm. Alright. Only because I enjoy the youthful glow around you two."
Kettil had won and thus he counted out the seeds and shoved them across the counter.

Freya screamed like a banshee, jumping up in victory. Then she clapped her hands over her mouth and whined in embarrassment.
"I means." She muffled out. "Is okay. I guess."

Kettil flinched and quickly snagged up the rings before the Clerk changed their mind. "Uhh...Nice doin' business with ya," he said simply with a large smile.
The Clerk let out a small grunt as she missed a point where she could have bled them dry, especially after the ghoul pretty much burst the Clerk's eardrums.
The Muut just pretty much dragged Freya out of the shop before something else caught the Valkyrie's attention.
