Ronen watched the tendrils, starting to sway unsteadily with their movement. But when their motion suddenly was interrupted he blinked, as if waking up from a near doze.
Arissa didn't like where that move had been heading, and decided to try curtailing that. "Switch back to Sweet Kiss, darling," she said.
Ronen brightened up and gladly went back to blowwing kisses at the other pokemon.

Ronen watched the spinning tendrils for a bit before them moved wrong again. They were kind of nice to look at when they did that. At his trainer's command, he released another burst of fire.

Ronen squealed as the explosion of blood washed over him, then stood there shivering from the aftermath of it. He didn't like this game any more.
Arissa was worried about the Nincada, but she was more worried about her own pokemon. The poor baby! "Come on back, honey, we'll get you washed up and back to your mama." The little egg-bound chick toddled back to her so fast she was afraid he'd lose his balance and fall off the ledge, and she scooped him up quickly as soon as he was in reach. She looked up to her opponent and said, "Good battle. I hope your pokemon is OK," before turning to rush off with her own to take care of him.
