"Yeah, it's a lot of work. But you did so well!" Candace applauded Stormy, offering up a bottle of water for the girl to take if she wanted to. "That second stage almost had you, but I have trouble with it too. Deathsweeper hates me." And the feeling was mutual. "So other than it being hard, how'd you feel doing it?"

How'd she feel? Mostly sweaty and gross, but Stormy lit up at the compliment. "Really? Yay~ Well, um, it made me think," she answered once her breaths got a little more shallow. "On missions I used to pick one thing I thought my group or someone needed and stuck to it. This time I had to do all sorts of things in one go. So it was hard but...kinda thrilling too, if that makes sense?"
"Although let's hope we don't have to go in a minefield anytime soon," she added with a soft self-depreciation laugh. "I thought I was light on my feet, but...those traps are something else, huh?"

"On missions you may still just pick one or two things to focus on, but you have to always be ready for just in case." Candace was glad to see Stormy happy. "It makes perfect sense. It's like a rush, right? It's so awesome."Candace laughed along with Stormy when she hoped for no minefields. Yeah, that would suck. "The people who program that stuff are so cruel. You can go again whenever you want." She reached into her pack and took out a pair of headsets, tossing one to Stormy after making it clear she was about to do this. "Call for me with this if you need me. I'm also still watching so don't feel discouraged if I suddenly show up to help you even if you don't ask for it, okay?"Ol-j-man <33 Unless Stormy has questions you're good to go whenever!

"Right! We're the just in case-ers, the minute men, the timey wimey part of time and space, and the mysterious Disney G," Stormy announced as she caught the headset and put it on. "Yes ma'am, yes sir, I'm gonna go find that rush again, Miss Candace and make you proud!"
She tightened her ponytail, summoned Thane, and with a gleeful look ran back into the shadows.

Perhaps Stormy was inspired by Candace's glowing report, or perhaps Jay had this song stuck in her head all day but either way she found herself sucking in the breath to sing.

Gosh, the Deathsweeper again . . . "Tranquil as a foooorest," she softly sang to herself as she stepped onto the tile delicately. "But on fiiiiire . . . withiiiiin . . ."
She paused and listened, focusing first on one ear and then the other before slowly pulling her flag out. Maybe . . . yes . . .no . . . yes. She tossed it to the left adjacent one to her and watched as the flag was promptly speared through. A sigh of relief left her.

She'd maneuvered almost all the way across and was dying to just leap forward and get out of here, but . . . something about the tile before her made her uneasy.
"You're a spineless, pale, pathetic lot," Stormy chided it as she side-stepped out. "And you haaaaaven't got a cluuuueeee--"
At least up until the tile she stepped on started to heat up. With a yelp she was tossed forward with a blast of heat as the bomb went off.
But at least she was out of the minefield, sighing and wiping her brow of sweat and soot.
She murmured, "Somehow Iiiiii'll, make a maaaaaan, out of youuuuuu!"

Stormy ran with that very urgency to the princess golem, this time greeted by Sherry's sweet face. They were in the Life cycle, weren't they.
"Heed my every order," she told the golem most seriously. "And you might . . . surviiiiiive . . ."

Maybe she'd gotten too into the song, but it had been helpful--up until she heard the ominous beeping coming from the golem's leftover cuff. Panicking a bit, she remembered Candace was still there and quickly pressed the headset to her ear. "Um, um, some help please? Candace showed up quickly, especially when she heard there was beeping. "It's okay, I've got you." She gave the princess golem a little smile as she took the cuffed wrist to see what was up. Oh..this was a hard one. She moved to one side as she worked so Stormy could see how she got the lock open, biting down on her lip as the beeping got faster. Too long, she was taking too long-- "Gotcha~." The beeping stopped and the lock popped open. "That was close," Candace laughed. "You got it from here, yeah?" Candace guided Princess Sherry to stand by Stormy, giving the girl a smile.

Stormy took the time to get her breath back, licking her lips and retightening her hair as she watched Candace intently. Her hands hadn't always been the steadiest, as Super Jenga had taught her with a vengeance. She breathed a sigh of relief as Candace got the cuff off, giving her a grateful look and a tiny salute. "Yes ma'am!" Almost there...
Taking the Sherry golem by the hand, Stormy guided her back down the steps. "We must be swift as a coursing river," she sang under her breath as she prepared to get her across the death sweeper field.

"With all the force of a great typhoooooon," she declared as she began to brave the floor.
And it felt like the tiles had all decided to go off at once. Acid splashes, arrows, another bomb--Stormy was sure they were both toast for a moment, but somehow she barely got them both out before real damage could be caused. Giving Princess Sherry a reassuring pat, she led then onwards to the shadows.
