"LET HIM GO!" Natsu screamed, leaping up as high as he could to reach the creature's shoulders. He grasped as much skin as he could and tugged, snarled, and screamed. "My nephew is underneath your skin, MOVE YOU ******** MONSTER!" From there he went into a rage fit of clawing, screaming, crying and flailing, until he hopped down off the creature and began to slap at where he was certain that Ogbonna was laying.
"UNDER HERE! LET HIM GO! LET HIM GOOOO!" He screamed.

The creature had had enough of the yoweling shrieking thing that was hitting it and poking it, and now was way too close to it's sensitive ears and skinflaps for comfort. It bellowed, awake now, ears back, eyes flaring from yellow to red and blue as it snapped at Natsu and swiped. Whether it wanted to kill him or not, it was hard to tell, but it swiped with a force that could easily sent Natsu flying, possibly a good way down the cave. The claws themselves could be avoided as they were angled back, but it was swinging more accurately now that Natsu had annoyed it.
Ogbonna could be seen under the skin kicking and struggling and making noises of upset. The creature seemed to ignore Ogbonna's struggles for Natsu.

Natsu now mimicked the creature's mannerisms and vocalizations to near perfection. He was PISSED, and he wasn't going to let ANYTHING get in THE WAY of his NEPHEW! One last piercing scream resonated from his mouth, possibly a garbled profanity or simple gibberish, and set to lifting the skin up off of Ogbonna. He leered, lunged, and dodged away from each swipe the beast made, and finally after nearly ten attempts, he managed to navigate his way to his nephew.
"Oggie!" He cried, prying his nephew out from under the beast. There was no time to lose, he had to get him out of here! He lunged upwards and darted out of the cave, his nephew in tow. "OGGIE, YOU COULD HAVE GOT US KILLED!"

Oggie seemed dazed. Alive but dazed. He was limp but breathing in Natsu's arms.
The creature was far from dazed. It was pissed. It charged after the two of them, surprisingly fast for something so large. It roared, something oddly melodic if you listened past the sheer force of it, and then it pounced, shoulder first, at Natsu- intending to slam him to the ground and pin him there.

He could hear the creature barreling up behind him, and it was terrifying as ********. Natsu knew he couldn't evade it, and he certainly couldn't hide from it, all he could do was try to debilitate it. But how? It was HUGE! Then, he listened, the creature had such an odd way of roaring... It sounded like a melody...
He smiled a rather devious smile, then, and lunged away from the attack. He stood and faced the beast in a calm fashion and began to sing.
"Beautiful dreamer, wake onto me..." He sang, his voice soft and smooth. "Starlight and dewdrops are awaiting thee... Sounds of the rude world heard in the day...." He paused, praying that what he was doing would work. "Led by the moonlight have all passed away..."

The beast's roar dwindled off questioningly as it tried to skid to a stop, though it rammed into Natsu as it did so. Ogbonna tumbled out of Natsu's arms as the creature stood over him, it's eyes shifting to a yellow-blue, it's ears flared. It looked at Natsu, almost... listening.

Was it... Working? Natsu smiled to himself, bending down to scoop Ogbonna off the ground again. He continued to hum and sing as he did, not wanting to pause and upset the creature in any way.
"Beautiful dreamer, queen of my song," He sang, swaying as he did. "List while I woo the with soft melody... Gone are the cares of life's busy throng..." He paused, taking a breath. "Beautiful dreamer awake unto me... Beautiful dreamer awake unto me..."

The creature sat on its haunches, ears forward. It even seemed to hum along with Natsus song, it's voice a low basso note. It might not have understood the words or the intent but it seemed to understand music. It's eyes lidded, it's eyes turning a hazy yellow as it's head bobbed with the melody as well.

His plan WAS working! Ohohoho, Natsu you're a freaking genius! This thing liked music, he liked music, it could be lulled to sleep! Yes! Now all he had to do was make it go to sleep and go back to the village before his brother came home!
"Beautiful dreamer, out on the sea," He sang, tuning his voice into more of a lullaby tone. "Mermaids are chaunting the wild lorelei... Over the streamlet vapors are borne..." He paused, humming and peering at Ogbonna, relieved to see that he was still breathing. "Waiting to fade at the bright coming morn..."

The creature gave a quiet croon and lay it's head on a paw, watching Natsu. Slowly, it's eyes began to close as it listened to Natsu's voice. The last things to relax were its ears, which gradually lowered until, finally, quiet snores could be heard. The creature had been sung to sleep.

Thank goodness! He'd sung the beast to sleep again! Natsu clutched Ogbonna to his chest and tuned, tip toeing back to his settlement. Once he arrived back where had started, he laid the sleeping Ogbonna down on a cluster of blankets and checked him over for any wounds.
"You gave me quite a terror today, Oggie." He muttered, stroking the side of his nephew's cheek. "Please promise me you'll be good from now on..."

The sound of quiet clapping came from behind him. "I don't know if he'll be a good boy or not, but you were great out there, Natsu" said his uncle quietly, smiling proudly. He led Natsu away to a group around the fire. Most were family, and they greeted him with more clapping. "That was the most amazing thing I ever saw in my life." "Saw? What are you talking about? Hearing was believing." "Say, Natsu, where's that voice been hiding all this time? You gotta sing something for us now" Their faces shone with pride and relief.
One stood out, though, a quiet woman that Natsu wouldn't recognize, a bow at her back. She smiled at the proceedings around her, but was herself quiet and detached. Her focus was on Natsu, appraising.

"Nah!" Natsu squeaked, not expecting his brother to be behind him already. How did Mycah always manage to sneak up behind him?! He'd have to do that to him one day to get even! As he was lead to the fire, he found himself grinning, they liked his singing! No way! A soft blush crossed his features as he looked upon the group, and he took a breath in to sing for them, but stopped when his eyes fell upon the woman with the bow and arrow upon her back.
"Who are you?" He asked, sitting beside her. "Are you new to our village? If so, welcome! My home is your home!"

The woman smiled. "Oh, me?" She said, resting her head on her hands, "I'm Vescillea. I'm a wanderer- passing through to see some friends of mine..." she gave Natsu's uncle and grandfather a little wave, "I have to say, though. You're certainly an interesting one. What in the world happened out there?" she gave him a wry look, "What posessed you to start singing, of all things? Have you encountered one of those creatures before? Or" she smirked, "Did you just get so scared of it and it's big claws that it was either sing or wet your..." Natsu's grandfather gave her a brief look and she trailed off, grinning, a smug look on her face. It seemed she was teasing.

"Lovely to meet you, Vescillea!" Natsu replied, shifting his feet into an Indian style position. She seemed slightly familiar, but then again, a lot of women here looked like one another. At the question of what he had been doing, he shrugged his shoulders and paid no mind to the teasing. He was used to it.
"It had a musical sounding roar," He explained. "And I found that it didn't appreciate loud noises, such as yelling. I figured, why not try serenading it to sleep? It usual calms Ogbonna down, and he's nearly as terrible as that thing was!" He let out a chuckle as his brother bopped him on his side. "What? It's true, and you know it!" He teased.
