"You're a magical something..." He muttered only to stare in bewilderment as she screeched like a banshee and threw herself at it. ...Yeah cause that wasn't reckless at all..

Persephone immediately regretted her decision to charge the thing. It was a lot bigger than her, and although its attention was on her now, it had a lot more weight to throw around. The creature swiped a paw at her, and close up, she realized its claws were nearly as long as her thumbs.
She threw up her hands to block, but those nasty things dug in, and she yelped. Definitely some blood there.

Oooooh.. Those claws didn't look fun at all... Running up behind her, Lance grabbed a fist full of her... toga? Robe? Outfit. Let's just go with outfit, and pulled her back. "No offence but I really don't think that was the smartest idea ever.... uh.. Miss."

Perspeohne stumbled back and made a very angry-sounding noise. "It's not smart I know, but it's the only way, alright? You smack 'em untilt hey die...but you have ot stay back, alright?" and then she yelped again when it took another swipe at her. She jumped back,s o only the edge of its claws got her, but it was still enough to draw blood. "s**t! Get back, I mean it!"

"I expect you to stay back and stay safe!" Persephone snapped, as she ducked under and around the thing to slam her body weight into its side. That really got its attention and the youma roared and snapped viciously at her. "Come and get me, you big ugly thing, you are not the first angry bear I've tangled with."
Okay, that was a lot of bravado, and the last angry bear she'd tangled with had been with a lot of backup. Ah well.

"Okay. How bought when you get beaten to a pulp? Then what?" He snapped back. Surely there had to have been something he could do.

"Then you run!" Persephone snapped. The sabertoothed bear youma roared angrily at her, and then it charged, using its body weight against her as she had against it and sending the petite girl flying into a tree. She made a soft and very pathetic-sounding noise as she slowly struggled up, a little dazed thanks to the force of impact.

Laoise had been watching -- and, perhaps, more than just watching. She was a pinpoint of powerful Order energy on a rooftop down the street, settled in the stonework outside of Youma reach and watching with her eyes narrowed, her head tilted to the side, her expression focused. She was a hell of a prize and, if Persephone hadn't stepped in, perhaps she would have been the creature's target: another feline, a tasty morsel, and one without quite so much ability to fight back. Not that Lee would admit that. In Lee's eyes, she was a tiger, as much a saber-toothed monster as the youma on the street below, and with as much strength and ability to reign havoc on the opposing side. Sometimes she was right. Usually, she was dead wrong. It didn't change her beliefs. Today, however, she'd seen the young senshi and had taken a backseat, sitting with the tip of her tail thrashing around her front paws as she watched the girl and, begrudgingly, decided that she was worth the time of day. She saved the civilian. She took on the creature. Maybe she wasn't the best at defending herself, and maybe she got beaten down, but she tried. Trying what the important bit. By the time the girl was struggling back to her feet, bruised and battered but definitely not down for the count, Laoise was at her side, having navigated an easy path from the roof to the fire escape, down the alley behind the dumpsters, as quiet as a mouse. Now, though, she opened her mouth to speak, rough and direct and demanding and, hopefully, hard to say 'no' too. "You're going to get your a** handed to you, child." Don't forget rude, too. "Give me your pen, and I can help."

"Right. Run, into the neighborhood full of innocent people. What happened to avoiding that?" The blonde cringed when she went flying, and had the common sense to not pull an 'I told you so.' "Can't you do anything other then throw yourself at it? Because I'm not super comfortable with you doing that. According to you I'm screwed if you go down. So please trying to get yourself ******** killed." .....Well it wasn't an I told you so.

Persephone made a small groaning noise. Great, another damn talking cat, and this one was snarking at her. "No, I managed to completely miss the youma delivering me my a** on a silver platter," she snarked back, but she pulled out her pen. "I have no frigging clue why you need this, kitty, but I am going to trust you because the last time I trusted a cat, this started." She kept her voice low, hoping Lance wouldn't hear her and wonder who she was talking to.
"Look, blondie," she shouted back at him, pulling herself into a full standing position, "I'm doing my best. In case you didn't notice, that thing's <******** huge!" Was it just going to be a snark party tonight?

Laoise reached up immediately to snatch the pen from her, taking it between her teeth and turning over it. Whatever she did exactly was hidden by the bulk of her body, but there was a faint glow, a rumble of power, the promise of something more than what Persephone had now. When she turned back to the girl, pen held up and tail thrashing, it was changed. Different, if familiar, an offering of more power.
The girl needed only to take it before Laoise would speak, and she didn't keep her voice down. She didn't care if some obnoxious civilian overheard. "You know how to use this, at least, if you're in uniform now."
Laoise sniffed, settling back to just...well...just watch again. It was up to the girl to do her bit. "It's about the same as before. Say it. Persephone Asteroid power, Make up!"

"Oh no. I noticed. Which is why I think throwing yourself at it is BAD." He hissed. The blonde blinked, noticing something by the girl. ...Was.. Was that a cat? ...Wait.
Did that thing just talk?

Persephone took her pen back from the cat, spinning it a little in her hand. It felt...warm, almost. Almost like the same feeling she'd got when she'd first taken it from Derp. There was more to this, and she was gonna go for it. She ran out from under the tree, and held her pen up, right as the bear-thing charged Lance.
"Persephone Asteroid Power, Make-Up!" She shouted, and the warmth suffused her whole body as she transformed. Not into regular PErsephone...into something stronger.

"Hey! You!" She shouted at the bear-thing, making it turn to look at her instead. "Taste the fruit of the Underworld! Pomegranate Bloom!" The name of her attack came to her naturally, as did the gesture of holding out her cupped hands. There was a soft glow, and three semitransparent pomegranate seeds appeared. She popped one, and felt the energy boost she was used to - but the cuts on her arms closed up, which was definitely new.
"Aw yeah." She said, taking advantage of her new boost to run at the youma and kick it in the snout. "Hang on, blondie!"

"...stupid shoes." This, at least, was quieter -- a grumble, under her breath, eyes narrowed to take in the ridiculous heels on Persephone's shoes. Why did all the girls end up with such ridiculous footwear? Cats, of course, were smarter, calloused and barefooted even when they took on human shape -- That was a disjointed memory. Strange. It made Laoise frown. Had she ever seen a Mauvian take on human shape...? "But. That's better." This was louder, pitched so Persephone could hear, her chin up and whiskers quivering. "Kick it's a**. And come find me, later. A senshi named Sisyphus will know where I am." Should she have stayed to witness the end of the battle? Probably. She didn't. She left, with one arch look toward the baffled civilian standing by.
