Truth or dare? Heidi chewed quietly on the bite she'd taken of her sandwich, looking thoughtful as she seriously considered it. That could be fun! And she and Tuck already did so much stupid fun stuff together it wasn't like there was anything to be embarrassed about, right? "...Last time I played truth or dare I ended up dying Otto's hair pink," Heidi warned Tuck, feeling he deserved a chance to change his mind.
"If that doesn't change your mind, we can add dares in~." Tuck had questions? He wouldn't have suggested the game if he didn't have something in mind. Silly man, you don't need to use a game as a pretense for getting to know her!

Tuck polished off the last of his sandwich before he reached for another, making quick work of that one as well. He squinted into the 'picnic basket' and picked up a third sandwich. Part of him felt like a perverted lech for suggesting the game. He was already occasionally seeing two gorgeous women, he didn't need to be the ruiner of innocence and the defiler of all things Heidi. Clearing his throat, Tuck tore into his third sandwich. If it wasn't obvious that he was stalling for time, it should have been - but then again, this was Heidi. It only took him seconds to destroy his third sandwich, and only after he finished and slurped down two juice boxes did he speak. "I ain't scared of dares. Let's get this party goin'. You go first. I'm pickin' truth." The music abruptly changed. Tuck cleared his throat.

Tuck was taking an awful long time to answer. Did she scare him just with hair dye? She wouldn't dye your hair, Tuck! It's okay! ...Was it even possible to dye his hair? Heidi eyed it curiously, reaching up to suddenly pet his hair without any kind of explanation. Hm...no, she probably couldn't dye this even if she wanted to. It felt neat! Different, she liked it. Her hand dropped away, still without any explanation. "Oh! I thought I terrified you into silence~. Umm, okay. I'll start eas--" The song changed and Heidi's brow raised, giving the boombox a curious look. "Your sister has uh..interesting taste..." She'd liked the music at first but now it was just weird, and super old in some cases. "Anyway! Ummm...favorite color? See, I can be nice!" To start. She finished off her first sandwich and reached over to take some of the fruit. Tuck had eaten so much so quickly! "...I already know my next question if you pick truth again," Heidi warned him in a playfully ominous voice, grinning up at him as she ate a couple apple slices.

She was kind of driving him crazy. Tuck was really ******** certain that she wasn't touching him to ignite any sort of response, and maybe that was what was igniting a response. He was acting like a total ******** creeper in his head and he knew it, which made him wonder if this had been a horrible idea. It probably had. "Green," his voice broke which had Herryk laughing like no other. Tuck offered a smile and cleared his throat again. "Told you she likes some weird stuff," he continued, his smile growing wider. "Now you. Truth or dare."

Heidi giggled when Tuck's voice cracked, having absolutely no idea what the reasoning behind it was. As far as she was aware it was just a weird guy thing. "Green's a nice color. How come it's not your scarf color? Not that brown isn't great up green would look so good for you!" Oh, wait. It wasn't her turn anymore. No more questions. She picked up her muffin and picked it apart again, she even offered Tuck another piece. Truth or dare...hm..that was a hard decision! Heidi hummed, eating a few more bites of her muffin before she finally made her choice. "Dare. Do your worst~."

Tuck squinted at the olive drab of his scarf where it rested across the room. Yeah, he supposed that might be considered brown. The Army didn't really have a great color palette, but then again it wasn't like he'd enlisted to be a part of a fashion show. "Well, it's kinna green. Army green." He was torturing himself and he knew it, but he leaned forward once again to take the bite from Heidi's fingers. An exercise in self-control. So bro. He could do this. He totally was not expecting her to say dare, why had he thought this was a good idea, this idea ******** sucked, self control he had none, oh god, he couldn't dare her to go out and kiss someone because that would not end pretty WHAT HAD HE BEEN THINKING WHY WAS HE DOING THIS TO HIMSELF. "I dare you," Tuck began, faltering slightly as he shifted, "to, uh." He cleared his throat. The ********, he couldn't come up with a goddamn thing. "Get on twitter n' tell the last person who posted that Gnat got a crush on 'em." That seemed relatively harmless, considering his thoughts had guttered.

"Oh..." Heidi squinted. It was hard to tell in the dim light, but if it was army green she'd believe him. "I still think you'd look good in, like, forest green."
When he have her dare she blinked. Okay. "Sure," Heidi put her hand on Tuck's shoulder to support herself so she could stand. Her phone was in her bag. When she opened twitter the first name she saw was..
...Bix. Why not.
"I told Bix, but he has a girlfriend." Heidi explained, sitting beside Tuck again. She was quiet, sending off a couple more messages before putting her phone away. She laughed. "Gnat just threatened me. I'm in trouble~."
Well that had been interesting. "Truth or dare~?"

Tuck almost didn't reach for his phone, but when Heidi said that Gnat had threatened her, well. He leaned back and grabbed his phone from the bedside table and opened up twitter. Tuck grunted and tapped out a single response before closing his phone. He tossed it back on the table before turning around to get comfortable again. "She ain't gonna bother you," Tuck assured Heidi before nabbing a few slices of orange. "I'm goin' with truth again." Truths seemed like the safest route to take.

Heidi picked up another sandwich and a juice box while Tuck busied himself with probably telling off his sister. She was tempted to lean over and see what was being said but the application was closed by the time she made the move to do so. Damn, she'd just have to read later.
He picked truth while eating more food. Perfect, so very perfect. Heidi grinned. "Okay, Mister I'm Going to Eat All the Food Before Heidi Can, if you could only have one or the other what would you choose? Food or sex?" Heidi felt this was probably one of the most hilarious things she could ask him. It would be food, right? She was betting on food.
Tuck had thought he was safe. What a fool. "Oh, and I pick truth for my next turn," Heidi informed her before she started eating her sandwich, waiting for his answer with the most amused look.

The word came out of his mouth before he realized he was even saying it. It was almost
"Sex."
So bro.
From there he couldn't stop.
"I mean I like food but when it comes down to it, I like sex more because it feels good, an' I mean I know you ain't gonna be able to survive without food but I'm going to stop talkin' now."
Tuck crammed an entire sandwich half in his mouth and followed it with three wedges of an apple.
Not even gonna ask you a question, Heidi.

Oh.
Heidi stopped to replay his answer in her head.
Yup, she had heard correctly.
"O-oh." Heidi was blushing again. That was a surprise. Uh...what was she supposed to say now? She wasn't exactly uncomfortable just slightly embarrassed for assuming the apparently wrong answer. "...Does that mean you'll stop stuffing yourself like a thanksgiving turkey?" Was what she finally settled for, giving Tuck a warm smile. It's totally okay. She was so chill right now. It was okay.
She stole one of his orange slices and ate it. She had not learned a damn thing from the Cheerios incident.

It took Tuck a few minutes to choke down the food he'd mashed into his mouth. Frankly, he'd half expected her to take off without so much as a goodbye, but she was still there, and still stealing his food hadn't you learned your lesson Heidi.
One awful question deserved another, and all's fair - if she wanted to go there, he'd take it as an invitation to go there too.
"You pickin' truth? Mmm, lemme see."
He looked real thoughtful for all of half a second.
"Best kiss you ever had. Where was it."

Heidi tensed at the question. Gah! Quick thinking, quick thinking..! A story she needed a story why didn't she have any stories?!
"Um.." Heidi laughed and rubbed the back of her head. "I don't..have.." She cleared her throat. "I've never kissed anyone. I mean, I almost have like a billion times but something'd always come up so..yeah. I've just..heh..."
Heidi could talk a big game but she couldn't really back it up with any kind of experience.

Squint.

Heidi seemed to shrink a little with each question. "A billion is just a hyperbole." It was more like three.
Dare? Heidi blinked. What should she dare him to do? Uh.. "Um..you...have to..sing whatever song comes up next. Sing it like you mean it." Heidi was disappointed. She could come up with something way better than that.
