my school is takin part in it...I'm scared of what i should do. If my friends find out why i aint talkin, they would become suspicious, and they might discover. I'm in the closet, and all my guy friends are homophobic. thats why im scard to death to come out!! cry im scarred b/c if they find out, then i would lose the lil friends i do have...i want to participate, and take a stand and do this. im scared what friends wil think, and mom... what should i do!

I don't know what to tell you. At my school the kids are a little more open. The girls atleast, and my school is 70% girls. Depends on if alot of people will be participating or not. Since we have more people it's easier for people to get involved without suspiscion. I'm not out either. No one even knows I'm in the GSA. I know people will get suspicious when they see me on the video but I'll figure something out because I have cousins there and don't want my family to know yet.

My school is participating, and I actually can't wait. I'm not really sure what we're doing specifically, since this is my first year in high school and participating in this event. But I have friends that will be doing it with me, so that'll make it more fun. <3 And the great thing is that our school is actually pretty tolerant and accepting of GLBT people, so there probably won't be many people against it. The only problem is that most people don't know I'm bi. D= I don't mind that they know, but I don't want word getting to my dad. He's not very accepting of that kind of thing.

I'm almost positive we'll be doing it at my college. If not, I'll kick butts so we are doing it. I believe the way it goes is that if you need to talk for class or work, that is understandable, but usually all other talking should be nixed. Like I work as a tutor, and not talking would mean I might as well not even go to work at all. So I will talk if I'm working, but that is the only time I should.

Hah, I'll do it, but my school's way to homophobic to even try. I dressed up as Harry Potter for picture day almost 2 years ago, and they still wont let me live it down.
I know that seems off topic, but just imagine what they would do if they found out the names of the queers in our school.

Penguwin Im not worried about who finds out at school, if I participate myself, but my mom, etc.
If she finds out the reasons I wouldnt be talking, bad stuff would happen. sweatdrop Just because you're participating in the day of silence doesn't necessarily mean you're a homosexual. You can stand up for their rights without actually being one. 3nodding
