King was struck, again, by the rising knee, his hands still firmly rooted on the jerk's jerking wrists. This second knee hit with such force that 2.0 actually lifted a foot off the ground when he took the hit and when it came back to the mat, he lowered to a knee. He stood back up in due time, struggling to get out of Shanahan's grasp continuously. The knees to the face had weakened his sense of smell, but not his resolve.

The King continued to struggle against his grip, but Matt's incredible grasp wasn't giving him an inch. No signs of life showed on the face of the angered God still, even as he attempted to deliver one last knee to his target's face. Should he be successful, he'd let go on impact, allowing the man to fall this time.

King was hit by the third and, luckily for him, final knee. Unlike earlier, however, when he may have fallen, this time he took that knee and was released by Matt, looking up at the bright lights of the Grandest Stage of Them All. He stumbled back, turned just slightly to his left, and then fell forward onto his stomach, face down in the mat. Honestly, he was just lucky he didn't have a broken nose or jaw this early in the match.

Something inside Matt began to tick after that knee; not a drive to win, but a drive to torture. A drive to inflict as much pain as he possibly could on a man that was his best friend. With King laid out on his stomach, it gave The God of Punks the proper advantage; he'd attempt to drive his knee down into his back and keep it there, while attempting to grab hold of Kelly's face with one hand and yank it up and backwards.

King cried out in pain as he was tortured by Matt's sick sense of satisfaction. He tried to wrench the big-man's grip off his head to save face and back, but ended up just kicking at the mat at Matt's mercy. Mat at Matts. Heh.

After applying his brute grip mixed in with the knee pressing on the lower back long enough, Matt finally let go and pushed off of King to stand to his feet, not being gentle -at all-. "Get up," Shanahan muttered with a cold tone just loud enough for King to hear while he tightened his gloves by pulling on them.

2.0 breathed into the mat, panting for air. The fight was still in him, he just had to hold onto it. He couldn't let it slip from his grasp. King looked up at Matt with a grimace, fire in his eyes. The match was still young. Shanahan hadn't crippled him yet. And 2.0 defiantly stood up, steadying himself on his feet, and brought his hands up to guard like he was in a boxing match.

Shanahan stared down at 2.0 with a cold flame in his eyes, a flame of hatred and anger; he had waited for this match for too long, and he wasn't going to even think about it ending it anytime soon. He lifted a hand and beckoned King to come forward, as if challenging him to throw the first punch. Afterwards, he brought his own fists up in his classic brawling position, getting a small pop from the remaining fans he had. Was there about to be a brawl?

King thought about his options. He could have ducked to the side, started to land some heavy handed fists to the ribs. Or he could have went for a knee to the stomach to bring Matt down to his height, maybe some elbows to the back of the head or directly onto the spine. Of course, it was no holds barred, he could have went low and made Matt suffer for what he'd done in the most brutal way he could think of.
In the end, Matt saw the fight leave 2.0's eyes, and slowly his fists unclenched and his arms fell to his sides. It almost seemed like... King was giving up. The fans started to worry and some even boo'ed.
But then Kelly King 2.0 quickly slapped Matt Shanahan right across the face, hard enough to leave a red print on Matt's face.
And if it hit, when Shanahan looked back at King, he'd see The Man That Time Forgot with the biggest, cockiest, manliest, arrogant, a*****e, s**t-eating grin on his face that he'd ever worn.

The smack connected hard against Matt's face, causing the fans to jump in surprise with bursts of cheers for King. If there was one thing Matt hated, it was being smacked; doing something Shanahan hated when he already hated you is considered suicide in some countries. The God of Punks turned his head back to stare at Kelly King with a look of pure anger, before firing off a right hook right into that s**t-eating grin.

King ducked, but not only did he duck, he decided it was time to bring Matt into the real world of wrestling Kelly King 2.0. As his opponent swung, King ducked under that arm and grabbed it with his hand. His other arm swung up and over and drove down on Matt's shoulder, trying to force him down to the mat with an armbar and slip in the Crippler Canadian Crossface in the middle of the ring as punishment for Shanahan's back wrenching before! THE FIGHT WAS STILL ON!

Before he knew it, Shanahan was turned about and brought down to the mat in the Canadian Crossface, one of the most painful submissions to be had. Despite the pressure being applied, The God of Punks didn't even let out a grunt in response; he simply began to attempt ripping his arm away from King, wanting to break the deadly hold as fast as possible!

King fought and clawed for everything in his career. Nothing was handed to him. Not even this Canadian Crossface. He kept wrenching back on the hold, pulling Matt's neck harshly back, even when Shanahan managed to exodus his arm from between the King's legs. He kept on pulling back on Matt's face, trying to really hurt him.

Even with his arm free, King was causing some major strain on that neck; this was unacceptable. Shanahan used his freed arm to his advantage, sending it flailing back in an attempt to elbow his target... Anywhere, honestly! It's not like he could see where he was aiming, right?

King felt welts brewing under his skin as he was elbowed. Sternum, stomach, ribs. Matt bashed him several times over and over until finally King's fingers unlinked from around his face and 2.0 had to roll off Shanahan's back to avoid serious damage, unable to get the tap out from the submission. But as he rolled off Matt, he slid across his feet and grabbed his ankle, trying to sinch the bigger man up in an Ankle Lock almost seemlessly!
