The deeper they went, the cooler the air seemed to grow. His vision easily adjusted to the darker tones of the tunnel ahead of them. Amadia was trailing behind them now, not eager to bound off ahead anymore. He shook his head at the kiendred and then looked up at Erionda just in time to see her stick her tongue out. His eyebrows rose at the expression and then he smiled. He really did like seeing her like that. Kilian chanced a glance at Uassae and smirked as he quickened his pace up. Catching up to Erionda, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her back, placing a swift kiss on her lips before she could say anything. Their brief and unexpected kiss was interrupted, all too soon, by Amadia's keening sound as another loud roar shot through the cavern. A strong gust of wind followed the roar. Kilian's hold on Erionda tightened as the strength of the wind grew and then died down. "Looks like we have to cut this short." He said as let his arms fall down from around her.

Go to "Exit" Erionda could tell by the sound of his foot steps that Kilian was catching up to her. And rather quickly too. Not wanting to be beaten to the next dragon Erionda attempted to pick up her pace but was too late. Kilians grip held firmly to her wrist, pulling her back to him. Raising her hand in surprise, her sword clattered to the ground. Erionda placed it against his chest. She could feel his hard muscles shift below the fabric parts of his armor. Blushing deep red as his lips connected with hers. Closing her eyes into slits, as she shifted to kiss him back. She was startled by a loud cry from one side. Her head flipping to the sudden sound as she gasped. Both her Drakein were sending images of pain and fear at the sound of the roar. Something worse than they had ever seen was sitting in the large opening up ahead. Her eyes grew wide as the remembered fear flooded back to her. Her body only just starting to turn to run out of the tunnels before Kilians arms moved to hold her fast. A gust of wind forced Erionda's face into the crook of Kilians neck for protection against any loose debris. She could feel the moisture against the walls strike them as the wind continued before dying down. Feeling his arms fall away was almost a frightening thing. Wincing Rio turned grudgingly towards the tunnel's exit. "All the Drakein look afraid Kilian. I- I don't know whats got them so upset!" She didn't want to move ahead. For fear of Alpha or Beta laying in wait for them. Her eyes shifting to search Kilians face before she tried to force the lump in her throat down. She couldn't show fear in front of him. She wasn't a weak or helpless girl anymore. She was a warrior, a fighter, and a powerful one too. Bending down to pick up her sword, Erionda hurried into the next cavern. Her mismatched eyes searched the room with confusion. It was only an Ayrala. Gripping her sword tightly Erionda burst into the cavern with a yell. Her free hand extended out. Palm facing the dragon as the droplets of water from earlier formed into sharp thin needles of ice. Stopping only a few feet from the dragons head, Erionda let the ice fly. Quickly dispatching the dragon letting two Ayrala orbs appear inside the dragons dust. Sheathing her weapon, Erionda turned to smile at Kilian. Tilting her head to the side as her hair fell away from the slightly exposed neck. "Well that's three to your two. So far I'm winning."

Room 6 First die: If the number is 1-2, you encounter a Kiandri dragon. If the number is 3-4, you encounter a Firani dragon.Second die: If the number is 1, list all participants and generate a number between them. This participant's luck is halved for this battle. Please recalculate luck chances accordingly. (If you are doing this solo, your luck is halved and you must recalculate your luck chance.) If the number is 2-3, nothing happens and you fight as normal. If the number is 4, you have found a secret tunnel! Do not fight in this room and proceed directly to "Room 17". (This can only occur the first time you enter this room. If you reenter this room and roll a 4, then nothing happens and you fight as normal.) Glowing fungus grows upon the walls of this room, casting a dim light in those areas. The room is still visible, though it is becoming more like twilight in the level of light. There are still puddles in places, so watch your step! From this point, treat as a normal dragon hunt and every participant rolls to see what the result is.Kilian winced as he felt Amadia's fear yet again. What was it now? He shot into the cavern after Erionda only to see her take down an Ayrala dragon. Why had it scared the drakeins so much? He watched as she sheathed her weapons and smiled at the way she looked. Dragon hunting really did suit her. Kilian made his way over to her and quirked an eyebrow. "This is a contest now, huh?" He asked as he brought his fingers up to brush across the skin of her exposed neck. He leaned down and placed a feather light kiss on her lips before raising back up. "To the next one then." He smirked as he let his hand drop from her neck and rushed down through the next tunnel, avoiding puddles along the way.

Erionda teased him unmercifully with light brushes of her fingers along his back. Leaning away in case he tried to capture her for another kiss. Just enough to taunt him. Smirking as she took another step back. Uassae moved up behind Kilian with a snort. His eyes blazing as he glared down at the Oblivionite before him. "I'll not have you leading her into any traps Oblivionite. You better make sure your intentions are there." Growling as he moved on he nuzzled Erionda. Ignoring the puzzled and somewhat embarrassed look on her face. Lanzecki chirped as he mocked Uassae. Making sure to stick his snout in the air as he moved, his claw catching on the tip of a outjutting rock sending the Keindred rolling forward and crashing into the elder Drakein. Rio put a hand to her mouth as she tried to stifle her giggle. Only Lanzecki would react in such a manner. And if Uassae knew she found it amusing, he'd be storming off in who knows what direction only to pout. Shrugging her shoulders at Kilian, Erionda spun on her heals and moved on into the tunnel. She was moving slower than before yet something up ahead gave them a light to their surroundings. She could feel the temperature change as her ears popped with the shift in pressure. If it was a Firani up ahead she was doomed. The hybrid tensed and reached for her blade. Aiskala Dovaa were weak against the Firani, and while Tilawen was a Firani. Erionda lacked experience with them. Unsure how to proceed Erionda resisted the urge to look back at Kilian for reassurance. She was strong she didn't need to show such weakness.

24(30/24)/2 = 15 12 + 15 = 28 exp +1 Firani Orb Gained 1 luk point Kilian pulled back away from Erionda as Uassae made his comment. He frowned as he watched the drakein move away from them. The frown stayed on his face even through Lanzecki's trip. Did the older drakein really not trust him that much. He looked back over at Erionda and managed a weak smile as they set off down the next tunnel, his mind still on what Uassae had said. Kilian became hotter the closer they came to the end of the tunnel. It was almost enough to make him want to take his armor off. As they exited the tunnel his eyes fell onto a Firani dragon. Instinctively he reached for his daggers, pulling them swiftly out of their sheaths. He had never faced a Firani before and knew that Erionda would be weak against it because of her Aiskala background. He cursed to himself as he called to Amadi in his mind. I need your help. Amadia nodded her head and took off towards the dragon, sending small bits of lighting out to distract the dragon. She ducked under the dragon's body and latched onto it's leg with her teeth, ripping into the thick hide of the beast. The dragon let lose a roar and a stream of fire burst into the air as it's head flew back. Kilian readied his blades as the Firani lowered it's head again and stared directly at the group. It growled, opening it's mouth to ready for an attack. Before it could do so, though, Kilian flung both his daggers at it's head. They both hit their mark, between the dragon's eyes. Two Firani orbs fell to the ground amongst the dust left from the dragon. Move to Room 7 If you win, do you: A) Move deeper into the cave? Room 7 First die: If the number is 1, you encounter a Kiandri dragon. If the number is 2-3, you encounter a Firani dragon. If the number is 4, you encounter a Peisio dragon. Second die: If the number is 1-2, nothing happens and you fight as normal. If the number is 3, a sudden rock slide closes off the entrance to this room as you enter. You can no longer chose to move closer to the entrance and instead must either move deeper into the cave or leave. [If you have already had this rock slide happen, nothing happens.] If the number is 4, a sudden gush of water fills the room, slowly you down. Your luck chance decreases by 10%. [If your normal luck range is 61-100, it is now 71-100.] More of the glowing fungus grows in this room, aiding what little light has penetrated this far into the cave system. The light reflects off the damp walls and puddles, adding to this effect. Erionda cursed under her breath at her hesitation. She had allowed Kilian a chance to catch up to her score of dragons. She couldn't allow him to finish! Not alone! Twisting the hilt Erionda pulled her shield from where it rested firmly on her back. She was going to need it now if she wanted to survive against her weakness. Rolling her slender shoulders to alleviate some tension Erionda moved into a quick run. Her body darting around the side of the dragons body before it burst into dust. Groaning at the quick defeat Erionda's eyes fell on the glinting red orb. Stepping forward she knelt down beside them. Her fingers moving out to trace along the smooth surface. She had never seen one before. At least not to her recollection. As far as she could remember her parents had never brought home Firani orbs. And Aquon prized his beyond life itself, considering he was a Firani Dovaa. The memory of him made her shudder and pull her hand away as if it had burned her. Wincing Erionda quickly moved her hand out and snatched up the orbs. Handing one to Kilian. "Our sacks sure are getting full of these orbs." Turning to look at the even dimmer tunnel Erionda couldn't help but wonder out loud. "Have we only just begun our decent?"

25(30/25)/2 = 15 3 + 15 = 18 exp +1 Firani Orb Gained 1 luk point Kilian watched as Erionda admired the orbs. He had never seen one himself. The orbs looked like fire was rolling inside them. He extended his hand and took the one she offered to him and smiled. "We will be well stocked, that is for sure." Kilian said as he stored the orb into the sack on Amadia's back. Kilian followed Erionda's gaze and took a deep breath. It seemed as if this system of caves went on forever. Kilian didn't even bother sheathing his daggers and instead carried them in hand. It seemed as if at the end of each tunnel, there was a dragon awaiting them. As they traveled down the tunnel, Kilian noticed a light glow coming from the fungus on the walls. As they emerged into the large cavern he looked up. "Ah." He mumbled as he looked around. The ceiling of the cavern almost looked like the night sky. Kilian was distracted long enough for the Firani, that called this part of the caves home, to enter into the cavern undetected. "Trouble." Amadia said as she crouched low to the ground and growled. Kilian's gaze darted across the room and he cursed. "Another Firani." He said as both Amadia and him took off, his daggers already at the ready. The two of them worked in unison, taking the dragon down quickly and without too much commotion. Kilian let out a breath and brushed back his dreads away from his face as two more Firani orbs fell to the ground.

Another Firani? Erionda muttered with a marked frown. She didn't like them so much. Taking in a shaky breath Erionda readied herself for an attack only to be beaten to the kill once again. Kilian must have taken her seriously when it came to the challenge. He was now ahead of her in kills and that was an unfortunate thing. She didn't like to be beaten at games. And certainly not when it came to dragon slaying! Ignoring Lanzecki's protests to continue further into the cave. Erionda pushed on ahead. It didn't seem that with all these dragons progressively getting stronger that Beta or Alpha would be hiding down here. She had seen a Drakein attempt to dismember Beta in hopes of making her die a pure creature instead of the mixed breed she was. Erionda shuddered at the thoughts. Glancing at Kilian she stooped to take up the orbs and offer him one. "I wonder if that means further down we will run into Aiskala dragons." She hadn't had the chance to notice the way the fungus cast light about the cavern.

Second die: If the number is 1, a sudden beam of light hits the room from outside, brightening the light where you can see better. Your luck chance has increased by 10%! [So if your normal luck range is normally 61-100, it is now 51-100. You cannot go below 6-100, though.] If the number is 2, the dragon encountered is a Ysali dragon instead of the dragon rolled. This room has a large puddle, almost a small pond, in the middle. Watch out! From this point, treat as a normal dragon hunt and every participant rolls to see what the result is. "Maybe." Kilian said in response to Erionda's question. It seemed like every now and then the dragons became stronger. Moving up the ladder to the next dragon in line. Did that mean that they might actually run into a Diabi? His body stiffened at that thought and he frowned. Kilian had not seen a Diabi dragon since the day his aunt and uncle had been killed. A chance to kill a Diabi sounded nice to him. Kilian's movements were stiff as he took the orb from Erionda's hand. His fingers brushed against her's as he did so. His body relaxed a fraction and the frown that marred his face slowly melted away. He let out a sigh as he looked back up at the ceiling. "I may not be able to see colors, but that light sure does look beautiful." Kilian said as he looked back down at Erionda. The urge to kiss her yet again was there. Just as Kilian was about to lean down he was nudged to the side by Amadia. "Let's go." She said excitedly, obviously oblivious to what she had just interrupted.

Until now she had seemed afraid of moving towards the dragons. She gave the Kiandri a weak smile as she moved to stand. Making sure everything was in it's proper place Erionda moved towards the next tunnel. Was it possible for the tunnel to have infinite caverns in which dragons lived? She was silent as she moved through the narrow tunnel. Though she was silent she was exited at the same time. Since the Kiandri fight she had not faced so many dragons consecutively. It was almost blissful with the amount of orbs they were able to collect so far. As she entered the next cavern Erionda paused. Her eyes grew wide as they fell on the puddle like pond in the center of the room. The star like moss and fungi covering the walls and ceiling made the room appear enchanting. Her heart skipped a beat as she walked towards the pond. Completely unaware of any dragons in the room. She had found her favorite location in all of Eowyn. The caverns temperature was not hot, and the beauty around her was unsurpassed by anything she had ever seen before. Kneeling at the waters edge, Erionda dipped her hand in with a giggle. She didn't want to leave this room. It was like she had always pictured her favorite place in the celestial plane. And it was here and accessible to her. Her eyes turned instantly back to her Drakein and Kilian. She wanted to share this precious moment. This place with them. To let them know she had found beauty that both hid her and comforted her.

Amadia had moved to be beside Erionda, sticking her her snout into the cool water. Smiling, he looked around the cavern. The fungus seemed to be growing and climbing it's way up the walls now. This place really was majestic. His gaze traveled back down to where Erionda was sitting. She had turned to look back at him. He returned her smile and was about to comment on the beauty of the place when a growl escaped Amadia. Kilian cursed to himself as another Firani appeared from the tunnel opposite of them. Amadia moved to stand in front of Erionda, feeling Kilian's fear for her. Kilian pushed away from the wall and took off. As he approached the dragon, it snapped at him, causing him to have to jump back before being able to even get a shot in. Before he could even make another move against it the dragon took in a deep breath and blew fire in his direction. "s**t." Kilian muttered as he jumped back yet again. His feet hit the water. As the dragon approached him, Kilian kicked out his legs and sent water spraying over the dragon. As it roared and stepped back, Kilian shoved off and extended his right hand, the dagger in it plunging into the dragon's chest and straight through it's heart.

The floors are now very damp, so watch your step! More fungus on the ceiling reflects in the water on the floor. This room has several large boulders scattered about the area. Erionda's heart squeezed as she took in the sight of the dragon. A deep breath was being inhaled. Instinctively Erionda knew exactly what the dragon was about to do. "Kilian!" Erionda screamed. Moving to stand up, stepping forward her feet hit the water. The flames that erupted nearly stopped Erionda's heart in her chest. She couldn't tell if Kilian had been struck or not. Unexpected tears flooded her eyes. "Kilian!" She yelled again. Racing along the ponds edge towards the dragon. Ice trailed in her wake. Stopping as she caught sight of Kilian striking the dragon. Her heart skipped another beat. He was ok. He was alive! He had scared her. "You idiot! You completely scared me! I..." Her voice cracked as she turned to look away. Taking in a deep breath she forced the tears down. Walking close to him Erionda paused. She gazed up at him with a fierce rage blazing behind her eyes. Raising her hand she quickly moved to strike him across the face. How dare her scare her like that. Clenching her jaw as the tears spilled forward Erionda moved to head towards the next tunnel. He had already scared her once before. How many more times was this going to happen?

Quickly opening it, he found two potions inside. As he was stashing them inside the pouch on Amadia he heard Erionda yelling for him and looked up as she came into view. The smile that began to come to his face instantly faded into a frown as he saw the look on his face. What happened in the next instant shocked him beyond belief. Erionda yelled at him. Called him an idiot. His chest clenched at the words that left her mouth. Then his eyes widened as her hand made a shocking sound against the skin of his cheek. His head turned with the force of her smack and all he could do was stand there and watch as she left, tears streaming down her face. "Rio..." Kilian mumbled as he rubbed his cheek. She had never offered to strike him before. Amadia nudged Kilian from behind and looked down at her, the shock still showing on his face. "Go. More dragons." Amadia said as she looked at the tunnel Erionda had disappeared into. Kilian looked up and clenched his fists. His jaw ached and his emotions were raw. He wouldn't leave her, however. He cared too much about her to just leave. He gripped his daggers and rushed after her. There was no way he would let her just walk away. Kilian caught up with her at the end of the tunnel. "Rio!" He called as he grabbed hold of her wrist and pulled her back to him. He gripped her upper arms and held her there. "What did I do?" Kilian asked her, the hurt evident in his voice. Erionda didn't have a chance to answer him before another Firani made itself known. Were they ever going to get a break? He sighed as he reluctantly let go of Erionda and ran at the dragon. His anger at what was happening taking over him. In no time, his daggers sliced through the thick hide of the dragon's neck, nearly going completely through. Two more orbs dropped to the floor but he ignored them. Turning his back on Amadia, as she sniffed at them, Kilian stalked back over to Erionda, intent on finding out what had caused her to slap him.

She could hear the tone in his voice. Her actions before had torn at her. His voice only tore at the guilt even more. She attempted to brush the tears away before turning towards him but didn't have time. He was already holding fast to her wrist. She didn't fight Kilian as he spun her around to face him. Hiccuping against the pain, her fear, and her overwhelming emotions. She stared at him before turning her head away. She couldn't bear the hurt, the slight pink tint to the skin where her hand had connected with his cheek. The emotions on his face hurt just as much as her own. He had scared her! She didn't even flinch at the tight pressure on her arms. Lowing her head shamefully Erionda let her hair create that familiar barrier of safety. Was it even proper to speak up? She was a pathetic Hybrid. And he, a full blooded Oblivionite. They could easily be friends, but for her to admit she had feelings towards him would only bring him disgrace. His release after the dragons call only brought her to her knees. She had no idea how to react to his question. Gritting her teeth she pulled herself together. Turning in time to see him slay another dragon. Flinching as he drew close to her. Part of her expected him to strike her. To induce the same amount of pain. She would willingly take it. She deserved it. "I thought that dragons breath... had hit you." Rio finally snapped. Turning to head down the next tunnel.
