The girl had dropped and soon enough was back upon her feet. The lad wasn't about to sit and wait for the youma to get a clean shot at them as they regained their footing. Rather than wait too much longer, the Squire latched onto the girl's hand and yanked her in a direction out of the youma's line of fire.
"A boost would indeed be quite useful." He was not quite committing to the notion of coordinating strikes, however, he was willing to advise "It would be wisest to time your kicks. Move about the creature since it is unable to move as fast as us."
He was quite certain he couldn't use the usual tactics with this youma. However, there was something he was willing to gamble. He just needed a bit of distance...

Irene was too dizzy to argue when she was dragged out of the way. And even when the knight offered advice that struck her as rather obvious, she kept her mouth shut. Now was not the time for sniping, unless it was at their enemy. Harassing a proven ally further, when she was at far less than 100%, was just stupid.
Even though he hadn't exactly agreed to her idea, she decided to proceed with it. "I'll go low," she offered. Timing a jump when she was barely on her feet was a bad idea. "You have a longer reach, so you can go higher." Sometimes she was jealous that she didn't have a fancy weapon. Then again, realistically speaking, she wouldn't be able to use something like that without a ton of practice. More likely, she'd just end up hurting herself, and she really didn't need help doing that.
"When the buds appear, the speed is working." With that disclaimer, Irene clasped her hands together in front of her. "Irene's Peaceful Offering!"
A small spectral sapling appeared in front of them. At first it looked like little more than a branch. Then, little leaves appeared, followed by a number of tiny buds. That was their cue. Once she saw them, Irene sprang into action, darting around the youma, waiting for the knight to launch his attack.

The squire stood at attention when the senshi revealed her plan and the signs that the boost was in effect. When the Super Senshi called out her attack, it more or less acted as a sort of introduction.
He kept the name tucked into the back of his mind for now. As the odd little sapling appeared, the lad could not help but notice that it was indeed an olive sapling. He could appreciate the theme, though that was something for another time.
Once the buds had appeared, the girl had bolted first, insisting the go low.
It was something he could agree with given what he was about to do.
For a moment, it almost seemed as if the lad was acting a coward, turning upon his heels and running in the opposite direction of the youma. However, he turned around rather sharply after getting some good distance, then began to speed forward as quickly as possible. Once he was close enough, he rather suddenly flung his Quill as if it was a dagger, aimed for the creature's face.
The extra speed would help drastically with this attempted tactic.

It did not escape Irene's notice that the knight never agreed to her plan. So, she decided to go with a slightly altered version. At first, her goal was merely to get the youma's attention by moving around, to give the knight the freedom to do whatever he thought was so much better than her idea.
She had plans for many courses of action. A thrown weapon was not one she'd thought of. Still, as the monster roared and tried to dislodge the sword in its head, she found the opening she was looking for. A swift kick to the back of the knee- or whatever this youma had instead- was enough to send it toppling to the ground. As it landed on its face, the blade was driven solidly into its skull, and moments later, it turned to dust.
Irene clutched her side as she stood again, brushing youma dust off of her skirt. All of that running around had given her a stitch in her side, and her head was starting to hurt, but all in all, she was in decent shape considering what could have happened.
"Interesting technique," she commented. "You, sir, have very good aim."

The youma's end had been quick, but most definitely not painless. However, the Neptunian squire did not have any sympathy for such a creature. Before his weapon could clatter to the ground after the youma had melted into dust, Nysa snapped his gloved fingers and his weapon vanished. He didn't need to risk any damage to the quill from unnecessary roughness.
He stepped forward, purposely analyzing the situation rather than casually observing. With a couple brushing motions over his dark coat in an effort to prevent the monster's ashes from sticking to him, his teal gaze looked up and down the Super Senshi's body.
There didn't seem to be any drastic issue with her well being. "Your magic is quite useful, Miss."
It wasn't so much a compliment as it was an observation.
With that, the Squire bounded off with a simple "Good evening!" He sprang up to the rooftop of a building, and moved forward. However, once he had pretty much cleared 2 buildings, he bounded back down to the ground level and phased back to his regular form.
Unfortunately, despite how much he yearned to truly escape the responsibilities of work, thanks to the youma, he would be doomed to make no progress upon his search that evening.
With a huge sigh, Howl began to make his way back to work. With each step, he calculated what his best excuse would be for abandoning his coworker. It was likely the police would also need to know.
It was pointless.
