Caleb sighed. He didn't know Alkaid but that information was easy enough to find, he figured. Ask the right people and ye shall receive. "Dahlia seems sound of mind. I'll ask her. But... maybe part of me is afraid to find out what my name was back then. Like it'd put a better, more specific name to the heinous crimes the senshi in the past committed. I would think it would be safer to keep a mineral name, like we're more one of you than one of them..." The redhead shook his head. "Maybe I'm over thinking it?"

"Yeah, you are, it's pretty ridiculous. I mean, we all have past, whatever, don't we? Lina's the proof of that." He swiped hair back off of his forehead, a tumbled mess that just fell back into his eyes as he released it, trying to think how to explain.
"Senshi, knights, whatever, we haul them to our side and they try to haul us to theirs. It's a yin yang thing, I think. The potential to be either." Ever paused. He had, obviously, thought about this some. Not often, though. Not enough to be particularly deep about it. "I don't know."

"Ever." came a half-question after a moment of silence. "What... what will happen after the war is over?" Caleb cleared his throat, slowly rubbing his hands together. "I mean, say, once all the senshi are defeated or decide to switch sides, what do we do then? I know we're working towards freeing the Earth from their rule and the rule of their Lunar Queen but... what happens after we attain that goal? I don't know if I can go back to just being normal after all is said and done." He smacked his forehead. "Ah, never mind. I'm thinking too much for one visit. Should I get you something to eat for your trouble? Anything I can do for you?"

If he'd waited, Ever would have told him what he suspected -- that, well, the war was never going to be over. There was no winning. No purpose. They fought because they fought, because they were told to, because... He swiped at his eyebrows and struggled his way out of serious headspace and into his usual, lighter, dismissive tone. It took him only a moment to drag up the smile, a bright expression, eyes narrowed and fixing on Caleb. "Did you say something about a salon? It's just that Zed's been bugging me to get a haircut, and he seems...he's not a fan of my usual 'buzzer in the bathroom', I think..."

Caleb was thankful for a turn away from something serious - and possibly devastating. Brushing off his pants, the redhead stood up with a smile. "Now that I can help you with, General." With a chuckle, Caleb crossed his arms. "Would you like a cut now, or later down in the salon? Either way, it's free. It's the least I can do and believe you me, being a Negaverse senshi means dealing with a lot of hair." Funny how magic worked.

"Anytime you can, but the looks Zed's been giving me recently..." He shrugged, slowly, leaning back where he stood and blinking up at Caleb. Unintimidated by the man's height. Perhaps that was a rarity; Ever didn't even think about it. Instead he smiled. "I might be out on my a** if I don't get it snipped down, and when I mentioned buzzing it short, his look was even more horrified. So, you let me know: now or later?" Both eyebrows raised. "I have taken quite a bit of your time already, after all."

and be blue I am SO sorry about the wait - my computer broke. @_@ Caleb couldn't help a boyish smile and the laughter that followed it. He thought Ever's relationship with Zac was adorable but dare not voice it. "Now is fine! I keep some extra shears and things here so if you don't mind, we'll just step into the kitchen. Easier to clean hair off linoleum than trying to vacuum it all up off carpet." Indeed, the redhead had just about everything he needed short of a swivel chair located somewhere in the apartment. "So, just a trim? That should be simple." Stepping to the sink, he started to fill a spray bottle with water.

Some people worried about their appearances; for Ever, it really was just hair. He dropped down into the seat and stretched out his legs, shooting quick looks around them. He trusted anyone else to know better what would look good on him, to keep it out of his eyes at least, to make it tidier -- "Anything's fine. So long as it looks okay, but not too flashy." This said with a flick of eyes to Caleb's own bright hair. "Presentable but not too interesting."

Ever's hair was like a forest, like an uninhabited jungle full of danger and wonderment. Only the bravest of men could possibly brave such terror and Caleb was one of those men. Machete Shears in hand, the ordeal lasted untold hours, like 1700's surgery or possibly weaving a rug probably about ten minutes. Probably. After Ever decided the haircut was up to his normal, like any normal guy exceptionally high and classy standards, handshakes were exchanged with smiles and the white-haired man went about on his way.
