Oulixes starred at Yaholo when he gave that odd squeak sound, a part of him wanting nothing more then to give him another poke in the antennae just to see if he could get him to duplicate the sound. Naw, he should be mean he supposed, the guy was helping him out after all so teasing him would just be mean at this point, huh? Even if it was tempting he was going to attempt the whole 'nice' thing because he was supposed to be learning from this one, right? Right, so best that he tried to listen more and poke less, even if he hadn't been able to resist doing so the first time.
As the other started to chatter about the Alkidike he found himself growing more curious about him, "A halfbreed, huh? I think I might like you a bit more now." He muttered, another person who knew what it was like to be unwanted and hated for circumstances beyond his own control. It sounded as though he had some friends, two he'd said, which was two more then what Oulixes had before running away from home, but still. It allowed him for at least a moment to feel as though he were akin to someone else for once. Another unwanted halfbreed. He knew it was horrible of him to enjoy finding someone else like this but he couldn't help but to enjoy it a bit, "I understand the 'unwelcoming' part full well." He said, lifting a hand to scratch it against one of his scars for a moment. He knew all about being unwelcome but it was nice to hear that someone else understood that feeling as well.
"So what else are you?" He asked, not bothering for a moment to consider if it might be rude or not to ask. Not as though he cared as much about prodding at Yaholo for his secrets as he should, his curiosity getting the better of him, "If you tell I suppose I can tell you what I am, though you might be able to guess just looking." He didn't know how many of the other tribes this guy knew about but there was a chance he might know of the two that spawned him up in this hellish world.

Yaholo blinked. This guy liked him because he was a halfbreed? That was a first, a complete stranger liking him for something he wasn't sure he was thoroughly proud of. A smile came to his face, perhaps he had found another being like himself. Someone just as bopped around as he was.
"In my childhood they were much less accepting," He explained. "Neither of my parents came to claim me, though, so they thought sustaining me was humane and sane to do." He shrugged and chuckled. "I guess, even without their love and support, I managed to survive long enough to get lost and find my father out here in Tale." At the question of what his other half was, he pointed back down the path and smiled. "I'm part of the Leaf Tribe," He said. "My father, step-mother, and younger half-sister all live there, along side a friend or two. My father and I are very close." He began to laugh. "I can never get him to stop playing jokes on me!"
Then he looked at Oulixes, as if he was trying to discern what he could be a mix of. He had only encountered one other mix besides himself before this meeting, and knew she was half-shifter, but couldn't recall what her other half was. It sure wasn't Alkidike, he was certain of that. After a moment, he shook his head and smiled awkwardly. "I don't think I know what your lineage is..." He said, sheepishly. "I haven't travelled past Tale, yet. Though I hear there's a mountainous region to the east. I'd like to go there one day."

Oulixes listened to what the other was saying and then gave a bit of a sighing sound when he got to the part about his father, how they were close, how the man seemed to want to play jokes on him. Well, he supposed that he was lucky just to even see another halfbreed, of course it wasn't as though everyone would have the same sort of upbringing as him, nor should they. That Yaholo had a hard time of it was a bad thing, he should be happy for him that he didn't bare all the scars that Oulixes himself had. After a moment of thought he gave a bit of a smile, one that didn't quite meet those hard, amber eyes of his, "I am glad that you have a parent that is close to you." He said, glancing back in the direction he'd come from for a long moment.
"It's good that you found him while you were lost." A part of him wondered if perhaps he should try to find some member of his family. He doubted they wanted him, his mother left him with his father after all and look where that had led him he thought to himself, eyes narrowing a little before he looked back toward Yaholo, forcing himself to relax even if he felt his temper rising, "You don't know waht I am? Huh... well I suppose I shouldn't be surprised since I wasn't sure about you either." He murmured, shifting in place, "I am of the Wind and Ice Tribes... though not by any choice on their parts." He said, crossing his arms over his chest for a moment, looking quite displeased by the thought before he shook his head, doing his best to free himself from his increasingly darkening mood.
Looking over at Yaholo as he spoke of not having traveled passed Tale yet he said, "I'd be careful when traveling but there are some nice people Sauti at least, those in Zena... I have no idea, the only one I know from there is a complete b*****d and I plan to kill him eventually." He said it plainly, as though such a thing were an inevitability.

"I was told I was very lucky." Yaholo added. "If I hadn't run into the settlement, mistaking it for another Alkidike tribe's home, I would have most likely died out here." Then, green eyes widened and lit up with a mix of anxiety and sympathy. He extended a hand and placed it gently on the other's shoulder. "I'm sorry that your circumstance wasn't like that of mine," He said. "I don't want to sound like I'm gloating or anything like that. Please forgive me if I made a show of anything, I didn't mean to."
"Wind and Ice?" He asked. He'd never heard of them. The next time he wanted to go on a long adventure, he'd have to search for them. His world was pretty much Leaf, Alkidike, and other halfbreeds like himself. The thought of being able to meet more unique individuals was exciting, to say the least. As Oulixes spoke about killing someone from Zena, though, he almost gasped. "He did something to you that warrants murder?" He gaped, dumbfounded. "That's the ultimate punishment! You'd be a murderer! Are you sure you want that sort of title tied to your name for the rest of your life?"

The touch of the other guys hand on his shoulder made him relax ever so slightly, his eyes sinking half shut as he allowed the simple touch. It wasn't something he would normally invite, finding the contact of others to be a bit on the unnerving side but... he supposed this one was alright, he didn't seem overly violent after all unlike Oulixes himself. If anything he was more of a pushover, the sort that he found that he liked because they didn't really seem the sort that would take a swing at him. When the other halfbreed started to apologize to him he could do nothing more then shrug, "No reason to apologize, things are how they are." He said in a grumbling tone of voice. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything? It was a touchy subject for him and the one person that could relate he might end up driving off...
As the other seemed to stare at him with his mouth hanging open, seeming shocked by what he was talking about doing he laughed, "A murderer? Naw, I would be a hero... that b*****d doesn't deserve to be alive after all that he's done to me." He said, as though the idea that being a murderer, at least of that man, was a bad thing. Reaching a hand out he patted Yaholo on the head between his antennae, "I understand though if you don't want to be associated with a murderer to be. Just give me a quick run down on Jauhar and I will be on my way, then you needn't worry about me again." He told him, feeling a little bad for scaring him when he seemed nice enough.
"Well... I suppose unless you don't want to help out, I'd understand." There were those who were too soft for what he was planning was all. Those that didn't understand the fact that he had to do what he was planning on doing, had to get his revenge, couldn't let that man get away with what he'd done so easily, "Hey, how about I get going, hm? I will let you get back to... well, whatever you were up to before you were so unfortunate as to cross paths with me." He said, taking a few steps back away from Yaholo before turning around, ready to leave. Better he left then put someone he kinda like uncomfortable.

Man, if Yaholo were a dog, he would look really sad. On one hand, this guy seemed a little off, had the intent of murdering his father one day, and had no idea where he was going. On the other hand, he was another halfbreed, had a really rough start to life, and damn it, Yaholo really wanted to make friends with him! Emotions wiggled around and bounced from his heart his mind and made him shake a little. The guy was walking away, he had upset the guy, he had made himself look stupid, gaaaaah! Why were social things so difficult for him to comprehend! He shuffled on his feet, his eyes quickly darting back and forth, before he practically jumped after Oulixes.
"No, I still want to help you!" He cried. "I'm just going to visit some people who are probably going to tell me to leave them alone and I would like to show you around the forest and help you find a place to be and..." He took a breath, thankfully. "I want to be your friend, even if you plan on killing someone, because that is none of my business and they probably tried to kill you back there and I think that's a good excuse and..." Another breath, damn it, remember to breathe! "You don't need to go through life alone anymore! Unless, of course, you want to be that kind of person, which is fine because I know people like that and..."
He paused, gazing down to the ground, humiliated. "You can hit me at anytime, I do this rambling thing when I'm emotional and I can't shut up and things just go on and on and on and..." He slapped himself lightly on the cheek before continuing. "Yeah, sorry. Can you not leave? I would feel terrible and... Yeah."

When Yaholo called out to him Oulixes couldn't help but to be surprised, especially when the other guy was telling him that he wanted to help him, wanted to be his friend, and actually seemed to be on his side despite what he was planning. Turning slowly he looked over at him, starring for a long moment, then sighed, "If you are certain." He murmured, it was weird, that the guy actually wanted to continue with him. He was almost certain that he was going to run the moment that he was able to do so to escape from the terror that was Oulixes in his killing mood... yet he hadn't. Weird. Turning slowly he faced the other man as he went on about how Oulixes didn't ahve to go through life alone anymore, a strange sort of thought. The idea that he could have friends... did he dare? He didn't want them to get in trouble because they were nice to him. Lusala, Natsu, and now Yaholo... he could be friends with them.
"Ahh... maybe..." He murmured, kicking at a stone that was sitting on the ground, as though unsure how he was supposed to act now. He was almost certain that he was going to be left to wander off on his own, something he did a lot, but he wasn't allow to just leave this time. He gave a soft sigh before he said, "I suppose I wouldn't mind it... to actually stick around with you a little bit longer." He finally said, just as far as the forest. He would get the advice that Yaholo had to give to him, then they would part ways he told himself. It would be the furthest that he'd traveled with someone for some time.
Lifting a hand when the other said that he could hit him, he gave a bit of a smirk as he gave him another poke in one of his antennae, mostly to see if he'd squeak again, before he said, "Come on then, I doubt it will be a short walk to Jauhar." He told him as he started to walk forward toward his goal once more.

Sure enough, another short, high pitched squeak echoed from Yaholo's mouth as his antenna was flicked. Man, he hated how sensitive those things were! He turned to walk beside Oulixes again, and smiled towards the other man. "Alright, we're on our way!" He exclaimed. He had hoped that he hadn't messed everything up, he really wanted to help Oulixes out and try and be his friend while he was out here on his own. Why travel alone when you can have some company? "If we just continue straight, we should get there in no time at all."
Some time later, as they were approaching the first trees, he turned to his new friend and smiled. "Here we are! This is just the beginning of one huge, dense rain forest." He chuckled. "Stay close, don't piss off any animals, and I can show you to where you can find shelter and food without getting in any trouble." He walked a few feet forward and paused, gazing back to Oulixes again. "We might see a few Alkidikes around, but only engage them if I think they might be welcoming..." He moved forward again. "I can never really tell if they're happy to see me or not, though..." He mumbled.

Oulixes seemed pleased enough over the squeak sound, deciding that it was far better then hitting when it came to this particular person. He wouldn't do it often, Yaholo would get used to it then, but from time to time, perhaps. With that in mind he fell silent, listening to what he was saying as they walked. It was as the other halfbreed had mentioned, it didn't take too long to get there and the company was welcome. It was the first time he'd gone so far in the presence of another person. So long as it didn't get him in trouble later then Oulixes would be happy, he didn't want to drag others into his problems after all. Best to keep all of the bad stuff to himself.
As they started into the edge of the forest, where the trees a little bit more sparce then they did the further in you went, Yaholo started to give him advice. There was a lot of it to remember but he felt that with such advice that he would be better equip to deal with this place. He wasn't sure how long he'd be staying, he wasn't the sort to stick to one place long, but he really did feel as though he could just disappear here forever. How wonderful would that be? As Yaholo spoke of the Alkidike Oulixes turned toward them, starring at him for a time, then said, "If they don't seem happy to see you now then it just means you need to work at it. Get power, that seems to impress people. I know some tribes give out various ranks, you can go after that." He doubted very highly he'd ever get one, he wasn't the sort worthy of such a thing, but he would at least get his hands on weapons to use to finish off his father.
After a moment of inspecting the forest and a bit more advice on the part of Yaholo, mostly where to sleep, what to eat, and what sorts of animals that he shouldn't go poking at it seemed as though it was time to go. He drew in a deep breath, let it out slowly, and then reached a hand out to pat Yaholo on the head, "Thanks for the help." He said, not looking directly at the guy as he said the words, as though thanking someone wasn't something he did all that often, "I hope we meet again sometime." Words that were actually sincere, before he turned on his heel and headed into the forest, disappearing quickly into the shadows and out of sight.
