Louise flailed uselessly under Fluffy's giant paw; he wasn't going anywhere. And thought the Cerberus may not have been trying to be menacing, the deep rumbling noises coming from the beast terrified the man just the same and giant dog paw claws digging into his backside only made matters worse.

"I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die!" he sobbed, blubbering like an idiot.

Humans were funny. Hilarious really. The Cerberus just stared at the flailing a moment rather amused with it all as he nudged the humans, pushing him along a bit perhaps. That was the goal anyway.

Then a rather sharp bark to see if he'd jump. Yes. The canine was playing with the humans at this point. It was kind of fun after all the times they'd made him do tricks. Time to turn the tables a bit. He wasn't malicious, just easily amused. So after another moment Fluffy leaned closer again trying to understand the quick mess of jibberish the man was speaking.

Seemed useless. Well he knew how to shut up most humans. A rather large tongue lopped out to lick at Louise's head. Might have been his face, the top, or side. Who knew, but he was definitely trying to lick Louise. But at least he hadn't stepped on him again.

Ian might recognize that habit.

Though he did pause to look at Len as he spoke up, ears perking up and tail wagging again. It wasn't attacking him so it couldn't be too bad. [Hello!] Though all they heard was a loud bark.

"H-hi there, nice doggie," Len tried nervously, every muscle in his body quivering with tension as he waited to be proven horribly wrong by the monster dog. He jumped at the bark. But the creature didn't seem interested in eating them. Yet.

That thought led to an idea, and Len started checking his pockets, keeping his movements slow and obvious. There. Yes! Half a granola bar in one of the inside pockets that he'd put away last week and then forgotten about. He pulled the wrapper off and held the snack out in trembling fingers. "Nice ... nice doggie. Want a treat?"

She'd kept in the background after the Cerberus had come in and scared off the tentacle monster, concern over Lou's situation warring with the knowledge that the monster might not react so well to one of the Security staff. She didn't think she'd ever had to deal with this creature in particular, but so far it had been -- relatively peaceful? Yeah, that sounded right; no outright attacks on anyone, just forgetting its own strength. A staff member confronting it could have turned that on its head and she did not want to see what this thing could do to Lou if it actually set out to do damage.

And while she'd hesitated over how to proceed, her group had gone and solved the whole thing all on their own. A brilliant smile bloomed on her face, and Hannah had the momentary urge to clap admiringly like Ian had done earlier. Right now, in this very moment, she was absolutely certain that they were going to survive this whole mess. In the fight against the tentacle creature, the guys had all showed that they were able and willing to defend themselves and now they'd gone and solved the Cerberus situation in a way she'd never even considered. She'd been thinking of ways to distract the creature from Lou long enough for him to make a run for it - they'd realised that the creature wasn't actually attacking them and had made friends with it.

The smile had turned just a little bit soppy, but damn it, she was proud of them.

Oh crap, it'd seen her, hadn't it? Hannah tensed for a moment, prepared to take action if it attacked - but it didn't seem all that interested in harming them and after a couple of seconds she relaxed, deliberately trying to keep her body-language as unthreatening as possible. Soft, slow movements when she shifted from one foot to the other and a low, soft voice, "good boy, nice Cerberus. Ah, er, think we can move on without antagonizing it, guys?" Her instincts and training was screaming at her to subdue the thing, but it hadn't shown any real aggression and there was no reason to get into a fight they might not win. A fight that might kill them. She had a sudden flashback of Whorl's corpse, and a renewed determination to keep their group alive sprung - if that took going against her instincts, then that's what she'd do.

(( Because Fluffy nearly took out a human in the process of charging through [Attacked by a player char creature] the Wyvern runs off. ))

English, alas, only made so much sense to Fluffy. But he knew the basics. Walkies, he'd done those before. So he merely got up after the pats and obviously took to following along behind the group as they started moving again. Which only lasted a short while before both ears perked at the sound of a screech.

And something was flying overhead. Hey. Hey these where HIS humans. He wanted to play with them more! As the thing seemed about to dive the canine went charging forward nearly sideswiping the poor security office as he darted past at full speed at the thing barking and snarling up a storm as he went. Which, frankly, sent the far less dangerous bird-like thing running in the opposite direction it had come. Alas, there was only enough room for one deadly monster in that area.

Ian was convinced he would absolutely never get home. Never ever ever. Though they managed to get rid of the tentacle that was making their life miserable, they had managed to gain the Cerberus from the mountain back again.

He tried to keep out of the way of the massive dog's attention, and to the back of the group. It wasn't that he didn't want to help them get to freedom. He just felt he was more helpful keeping himself intact.

Ian hadn't been mauled the the cerberus last time they met - which had been about the only good thing about this trip so far - he'd felt like out of all the rampant creatures causing havoc, he understood the big dog at least a little bit. It grounded him.

Reaching out he patted Fluffy on the head, after all, he'd saved their a** a couple of times today already, if he ended up tearing his hand off, well that was probably just karma redressing things.

"Good boy." he said, "You are just as lost out here as we are aren't you?" His clothes were looking worse for wear and he felt like he was on the brink of a nervous breakdown, but there was something about animals, mythical or otherwise that simply soothed him.

He picked some stuff out of Fluffy's hair, only to realise as if in a haze of shock that it was blood. Well then. Whoever it was had probably reacted negatively to the dog's unique psychic aura.

"Someone got you all blood too. How rude."
