It had actually got someone! the cube's thoughts bubbled out as it continued to slide along. No, it was not going to spit Banshee out. Why should it?

Argos bristled, his long, jaggedly horned tail swinging back and forth and raking bark and branches from nearby trees. <If I cannot sleep, I see no reason why you should be allowed to.> Was his tart response to Indira, his head raised and nostrils exhaling long trails of steam and smoke. It was something of a blessing that the staff of their vastly populated cages had managed to keep him from burning the entire forest down.
Slamming one long forearm into the ground, Argos left deep, jagged lines in the dirt where his claws scratched at. <I catch my food just fine.> His maw unhinged, flames spraying the air in front of him in simmering rage. <You would taste disgusting - I don't feel like eating you. And I'm not a land lizard. I can fly.>
He stretched his wings out to prove this point, the leathery red-black skin stretching taut. He reared his head violently when Kip landed on his nose, snapping his teeth into the sky at the Harpy with an aggravated roar. <You are annoying! I should feed you to the smaller dragons as a snack!>
His threats were empty though - the dragon was too lazy to continue this tirade for long. He'd already snapped a few tree trunks in half, the debris of twigs and charred branches smoldering around him in a rough circle. With a sigh as Kip perched, he moved to stand at his full height, wings folding against the red scales patterned dark green with leopard like streaks. He strode forward, shaking the earth around him as he did.
<You could help,> Argos retorted briefly to Banshee as he moved closer to the dragon now being consumed by a jelly creature with his newly acquired head accessory. <Lest you forget, you are supposed to be carnivorous. Not a... not prey.>
His tail flicked, and he settled down on one of the larger stones, warmed by the sun, his eyes raising to where Kip was perched, as though he could see him. <Perhaps you should try and get yourself eaten by the cube too. Make its day.>

Caesar was a bit shy. He really wanted to be social but most of the other monsters were very outgoing and already friends with eachother.... or.... very big. Currently the bigfoot was loping quietly (as he could manage) through the trees with large strides. He left cracked branches and fallen sticks in his wake. As soon as he reached the edge of the forest he stopped and peered out between the trunks curiously. Quote:  Name: Caesar Species: Bigfoot Physical Description: He's a bigfoot. [Your problems should not be my problems,] Indira declared imperiously to the big red dragon, mollified a little as the annoying little harpy became yet another problem. And then the ice dragon got eaten by the giant cube. Hm, maybe being awake right now wasn't such a bad thing. She would probably thank the red dragon, if that was the kind of thing she did.

The harpy was still laughing as the red dragon snapped and snarled at him.
:A winged lizard then.: He said, correcting himself and chortling, still unimpressed by the red dragon's statement. :You make a good perch though.: And to prove his point, he ruffled up his feathers, picked up his one foot and feigned sleep.
It lasted all of two minutes.
:Impossible.: His wings fanned out, stretching wide, before he pulled them in and hunched over in a way, that if someone were looking at him from a distance he would truly look like a bird. If it were not for his head, that was. :Lazy Argos would sooner have luck catching a tree.: Clearly the harpy was doubting the red dragon's hunting skills entirely.
Banshee's cries for help still went unanswered and instead, the harpy watched on with mild amusement.
:No good,: He started, turning down Argos' suggestion with one foot still tucked up so that he was perched on Argos' horn with only the one foot. :I just preened.:Quote: Name: Kipper "Kip"

A low grumble sounded from behind Argos, and the gnarled horned Desert Dragon was on the scene, spiked joints and appendages catching on the things around him. :: You're all making too much noise, would you please just not talk.:: He huffed, a small stream of dust shooting out from his nostrils, turning a critical eye to Kip and and Banshee. ::Some of us are trying to sunbathe, y'know. Concentrating on stuff and things.::
Stretching his wings out, the dragon sort of just stood there a while more, haughty eyes glaring at them all.

Caesar kept his distance but.... he was creepin on the cube and the gargoyle. They were not as intimidating at some of those ornery dragons who were out in the sun. Katsuo gave a loud yawn and rolled over on his perch. He spread his wings and pumped them a few times, stretching the muscles. For a small dragon, he tended to veer away from his larger kin, most of the time. His speed often allowed him the ability to steal a kill when he was lucky, but he didn't feel like gambling today.
No, Today he would just watch his kin from a safe distance. Because watching would at most just get him swung at when he started to be more of a pest.Quote: Name: Katsuo

Park Location: Monster Mountain, by the falls.
Physical Description: He's... actually a little small for a dragon. His limbs and main body are more reminiscent to a feline, with a long tail quicker than a whip. He is built for strength and speed, sacrificing size. Like the usual dragon he has a long neck and a slightly triangular face and snout.
His body is mostly midnight blue/black a sort of shifting shade, the underside of the membrane of his wings is dark blood red and he has bands at the back of his lower forelegs alternating between the blood red and a white that grows out to blue at the edges.
His fire is blue and white, burning far hotter than normal fire.
Brief Character Profile: Katsuo is very easy to anger, and when he's ticked off, Blue fire springs up from his body. He has to be calmed down when he's flying into a rage, because it takes too long for him to do it on his own. He likes to listen to singing though. And he perches at the waterfall to look out for potential victims.

Banshee gave a squeak as her back legs were now completely consumed by jelly. To Argos' taunts, she attempted to pull herself forward, claws scraping through the dirt and rocks, leaving scratch marks in the dirt. It was to no avail, as she only snapped back into the gelatinous mess.
< I- I am not prey! > she assured them, flapping her flesh-covered wings awkwardly, clacking against the jelly. At least Gemma had come to her assistance. She liked Gemma. It wouldn't be enough though, not with how enormous Banshee was. She gave the gargoyle a small nod of gratitude, but wasn't sure how to best go about getting herself out.
The cube wouldn't let her go though. Luckily it hadn't begun to devour her, but it was still unpleasant. She ground her teeth together and stared directly at the red dragon. Her next thoughts were sent only to the red dragon. < Argos. Please. > She attempted to blow an icy breeze at the cube. Maybe he didn't like cold? Did cubes feel temperatures? Her voice quickly rose to a shriek in Argos' head. < Is the bird really more important than MY LIFE??? >

Bubbles felt that poke from the Gargoyle, but all it did was really jiggle in response. it blooped out. As far as its current catch of the day went, it just continued to ooze along, not relinquishing Banshee still.
It was a very simple line of thought. It also didn't seem to be aware of the creeping bigfoot nearby. Although, one had to wonder just how a gelatinous ooze could see or sense its surroundings in the first place. Ah, the mysteries of life.

So much for a quiet nap. Francis covered his head with four feet. Flipped onto his side. Hissed and flipped over to the other side, grumbling something about dragons, harpies and jelly cubes, barely audible to anyone nearby. He lifted his head, eyes now fully open as he glared death at the others. His tail thrashing and snapping with a crack and a smack against his rock. The Basilisk would have rolled his eyes at the one stuck in the cube if he physically could. So he did it mentally, making no effort to go to Banshee's rescue. Let someone else be a hero. Instead he stretched out each leg individually and with purpose. Quote: Name: Francis Species: Basilisk Physical Description: This only black with bright gold eyes. Brief Character Profile: Francis is a bit grumpy half the time. Probably cause he's always sleepy for some reason. The harpy, stretched his wings wide again. Only this time, rather than pretending to sleep, he hopped off of his current perch--Argos, and glided down to the ground.
He had a plan--it should be just around here---ah! There it was.
With a chirp, Kip snatched up in his talons, one of the few large pine cones Argos hadn't incinerated, and flapped his wings until he was lifted up off of the ground again. Once airborne, he kited towards the gelatinous cube and dropped the pine cone directly atop, watching it sink in, down towards Banshee.

Caesar felt bad. Poor Banshee was stuck in the cube thing. They'd all been here together since they could remember and he still had trouble grasping exactly what the cube was. The bigfoot finally sucked it up, came out from behind his tree and approached. Help. His 'mental' voice even sounded deep and slightly dense.
