Kilian took a step back, afraid that Erionda's clenched fists were going to fly up. He knew she could pack a punch and he wouldn't even have bother to block it if she had thrown a punch. He watched her face as the flush slowly stole over her cheeks. Her voice echoed through the land and he cringed at the bitterness he heard in her words. Did she really think that of herself? He gritted his teeth, wanting to say otherwise, to deny what she said. However, he kept his mouth shut. She was already in a bad enough mood.
His gaze went to the blind fold she held out to him. He gingerly took it from her out stretched hand, careful not to make contact with her skin. Kilian hurt, in more than just a physical way and he didn't like it. "No, it wasn't to keep things out of my eyes..." He stared down at the piece of fabric in his hand. He hadn't wanted people to star at his hallow eyes. He had been self conscious. Such strange behavior for an Oblivionite, he knew that. Maybe it was time for some change.
Kilian's head snapped up at the sound of Erionda's voice. He listened to her words but nothing really registered right away. "I suppose you're right. It seems Ayr is a dangerous place indeed." He wouldn't even mention that no more of the water was left. They had used it all. They had needed to. He'd just have to suffer with his injuries and hope for minimal scaring. Though he knew he'd have some kind of scar stay with him forever.
"Goodbye Erionda..." Kilian muttered as he watched her walk away. So many emotions were flowing through him he just stayed standing where he was, not moving, until she had finally gone out of sight. He looked back down at the fabric in his hand and clenched his fist shut. With his eyes closed, he turned his face up to the sky and let out a deep, defeated sigh. He brought the fabric up to his head but instead of putting the blind fold over his eyes, like he had in the past, he tied it around his hair. No longer would he hide what he was from others. There was no point. They knew what lurked behind that fabric, so why bother with it?
"Lets go Amadia." He said to his drakein companion. He gave one last look at the direction Erionda had disappeared into and went on his way, in the opposite direction.
