"There isn't anything wrong with subjects but THIS GUY," Moke wasn't thinking clearly by this point. Anger had warped his judgement on most things. If he was calmer it was possible he'd like the idea of a subject of some sort. As it stood now he was a bit too flustered to think in those terms and Drusus had insulted him a great deal.

Still the 'great evil king' leopard managed to not charge Drusus and hold his position instead. That took a great deal of will power on Mokes part.

-------

"Thats right. Whats wrong with a loyal subject?" Drusus mirrored Imbali a bit with tone and a dash of mock. The hybrid was being a bit of a s**t head to be fair.

"Persuade you? Well I don't know if I can do that..." The hybrid mused a bit. "I have to admit you two looked so fearsome that I thought well hey look at those guys. They'd fair well while traveling through elephant territories huh?" Drusus coiled his tail around his feet and paused for dramatic emphasis.

"To tell ya the truth I've made some enemies over the years and crossing in to such a place as the elephants territory might attract ... enemy elephants. I don't want to be bothered while crossing. Having two leopards by my side might have the elephants take heed and leave me alone while I go back home."

-----

"You ? Enemies? Who'd had thought," Moke grumped.

------

Drusus ignored Moke completely and went on.

"I can offer my temporary services as you deemed.. loyal subject," He bowed his head, "At YOUR every call miss." It was Imbali he was trying to impress at this point. Moke was a lost cause.

Imbali was starting to grow bored and tired of this little situation. It was entertaining at first, but the dragging of it on and on made it grow old fast. She had been keeping an eye on Moke. She figured that he was rather unhappy. She probably didn't know just how unhappy that was, but she guessed enough. While his little fits amused her here and there, she decided that it was much more amusing when it was just herself that annoyed him. It was much easier to placate him afterwards and keep him from getting too bent out of shape. After all, she wasn't actually trying to be completely and outright malicious. Well, she was being mean a little on purpose. Still, even with her devious behavior, she deep down was liking him much more than she would care to admit. He was pleasant enough and appealed to her sensibilities. Some of the things he said she found a little dumb, but she also found those same dumb things to be at least a tad endearing.

Also around the same time she was musing those bits in her mind which happened to be while the guys were arguing. She glanced at this hybrid. While she lapped up the initial flattery like a dog drinking from a rain puddle in the middle of a desert, she tired of that as well. Well into his bit about elephants, she realized his mockeries. Her face overall didn't indicate her indigence, but her eyes showed it in spades. Whereas Moke might overlook the subtle mincing of certain words, Imbali was clear as day. She had seen quite an elephant or two in her time. She had never once attempted a take down of one. She knew that elephants were in big herds. A lone leopard was not to endanger herself with the folly of elephants. Their big feet were rumored to separate the tail from any feline. She also knew, however, that elephants didn't just go stampeding at the first scent of lion the way a herd of gazelles would.

She then smiled a mean evil smirk at the hybrid. "Don't take me for a fool, you. I might be rather absurd and extravagant with the way I behave and what I want from others in their attitudes towards me. However, don't you think for one minute that I was born yesterday. This isn't my first trek across the roguelands. While I'm at it, you insult me by assuming you even know which way we were going."

She had started to put more pressure on her front paws. They pressed down into the dirt. Her shoulders slant forward in a posture to warn him that she wasn't kidding around. Even her head started to bend just a tad in a most subtle gesture, but it was enough to tell any other creature she met that she was not to be played with.

"I think you are being rather presumputious and insulting. You should at the very least apologize to my friend here. We merely shared our food with you as a courtesy to appease for our not seeing you; not that we would have known anyways. If you cannot behave yourself, I shall have to bid you to take a leg of your choosing and be on your way. Otherwise, you need to watch your mouth." Her tail flicked with a little more vigor than she meant to. She had grown more annoyed with him. How dare he go on like that.

She blinked her eyes over to glance at Moke. She then hurriedly started to chunk off meat they could take with them, and she rolled them up in leaves she found off a nearby plant. She planned to take what she could, but she couldn't take as much as she had liked. Oh well.. some pack of wild dogs or hyenas were likely to happen on it not long after they vacated the area. Already she saw some buzzards circling overhead. She brushed by Moke. She whispered softly to him. "Don't let him get under your skin so bad. Everytime you get upset like that; he takes a personal inner victory. Just help me get some of this to take with us, and we'll be on our way."

Moke didn't have to say a thing. Imbali had taken care of it quite well which gave the leopard more pride in his choosing to trust her. She really was smart and just now she'd proven it. There were no more words he wished to waste on this hybrid. Ick, the very image of a hybrid was enough to give the leopard a gag reflex. The mixing of bloods was unclean at least Moke believed so. Again a bit of inner wisdom he'd gotten from his mother and not his father.

Moke was quick and silent to help chunk some meat.

-------

Drusus frowned. He had under estimated his power of flattery and these two leopards naiveness. Really he had been counting on the female to be on his side but as it turned out he was out of luck.

"Well, my dears, I suppose I will be on my way, " Drusus helped him self to a leg as instructed and started off down his own path opposite of the duo.

------

Moke was glad he was gone. Now he could have Imbali and the meat to him self.

((this rps finished we should start a new one. I'll wait for you to get online before hand))
