The man was obviously confused. "I think they're part of the Chaos... part of the game that many have been drawn into... a search for some kind of petals..." She looked down at the penguins and then back up at him. "They're not the first strange thing I've seen... since this game started..."

"Chaos?"
This was the first he was hearing of this. After all, he only knew about the Shadelords and gods trying to kill Owle. He hadn't been told about anything else at all, nor had he actually bothered to try and find out.
He was here for personal reasons after all.
Although he didn't like being included in a game he was oblivious to.

Alexiel nodded, recounting the speech that the one known as Rafe had given at the start. "Yes, Chaos... from what I know, there are 14 Petals of Chaos that have been scattered across Gaia, at least 7 of them must be found to open gates to to a temple called the Temple of Destiny. Only those with petals will be allowed to enter. The one that goes in and emerges victorious will get rich and stuff. There will also be Chaos in the world, and I can only assume that that means strange things will happen, like these penguins here." And thus she gave a quick run down of what was going on according to what she had been told.

The penguins finally noticed Alexiel and Vahn and they stopped and waved, smiling up at the two humans.
"Howdy, folks. Enjoying the music I hope. " The male penguin grinned and grabbed the lady penguin pulling her down to plant a kiss of sorts on her beak.
"Gots to treat a lady right, ain't that right cousin Freddie?"
The girl penguin looked rather flushed, if a penguin could looked flushed and bobbed her head. "Of course, cousin Bobbie."

What the hell does all that mean?
Scratching the back of his head in annoyance, he lowered his head. Unfortunately that meant the penguins were in his line of vision yet again.
And they were talking. Wonderful.
Is this part of what Owle is in then? What kind of stupid game is this...? As if I have time to find flowers.
"Right. Hey, you two. Have you seen a petal anywhere on this island?"
He didn't what type of flower this petal belonged to, what color it was, or whatever ******** else.
But maybe the oddities popping up might now.

The penguins had greeted them and Alexiel smiled back at them. "Indeed the music is lovely." She cringed at the man's lack of manners and then felt the need to clairfy something. "Erm... the guy who announced the start of the game said there was no telling what form the petals would take."

The male penguin looked thoughtful for a moment before looking up in excitement. "Oh yeahs..." He pointed over through the boardwalk towards the marketplace.
"There's some over there. Just look for the big burly man with the handlebar mustache. He's wearing an apron." He then turned to his partner and grinned. "Come on , darlin'. We need to get home." And with that the two penguins doosie doed their way away from Vahn and Alexiel.

"Ah... thank you."
Turning around, he popped his right fist into the palm of his left hand.
"Ok. That was simple enough. Let's go to market."
He stretched out both his arms and rested them behind his head as he walked.

Well... Alexiel had just come from that direction, but going back didn't sound like such a bad idea if it might lead to a petal. And considering she'd just made an unspoken deal of alliance with this stranger, she couldn't just not go.
Alex turned the horse and fell into step beside the young man, Daemon moving to rest on her shoulder.
Alex turned to look up at the young man as they walked and she smiled brightly. They hadn't had the cance to introduce themselves earlier, but now that Alex had thought about it, now was as good a time as any and she might as well start off. "I'm Alexiel by the way... sorry about the thing with your bike..."
((And I'm totally done for the night. So... like... stealth mode... and Alex will be following Vahn if he happens to pick up before I do.))

His footfalls echoing out into the seemingly deserted street, he spied his lone bike not too far off from where he was now.
Cursing inwardly at himself for having abandoned it in the first place, he scratched the side of his cheek.
"Sorry... about your horse. I really... didn't... well... I..."
He struggled with what he wanted to say... faltering again and again, when he decided to just give up altogether.
"So... we head to Durem then, right? That's where we should meet this... Jello and that Penguin?"

He slipped onto his bike, the key still in the ignition and everything.
Sighing softly, he waited for her to clamber on back, not at all minding when her arms came to hold against his waist and wrap for support.
"We'll see if we can make it to the Ferry before dark... don't let go."
Kicking off with his right foot, sparks shot out even as he revved the handles, forcing the bike forward suddenly.
And off they were, back onto the boardwalk.
