That sounds like most of my days, though I haven't fiddled with my tablet in a few weeks. I'm more of a pencil and paper gal. But I'm good at spending hours accidentally breaking something then fixing it while muttering under my breath.

I've been meaning to make a character, because I'm needing to be more active. Whoops. But I can't find much inspiration other than the fact my character is somewhat based off of me. Any tips?

Enigmatic Stardust I've been meaning to make a character, because I'm needing to be more active. Whoops. But I can't find much inspiration other than the fact my character is somewhat based off of me. Any tips? Well, I suppose the point of role play is to play from a different perspective from your own. Although you can base it off of yourself if you feel that it will fit the atmosphere of the role play. What I mean by that is I'm taking the time period of the Victorian era into context. Back then you could not come out with a different sexuality as you may do now-a-days. However the other vice captains may argue that we're not fully into those times and that I'm just too stuck on the idea of being realistic. What are some aspects that you'd like to give your character that aren't your own? Do you want them to be a failure or a complete success?
Again, when I say this I repeat as long as they're in the context of the role play and not a Mary sue. I cannot practically give you a character as the only tip I can provide is that you need to sit down and really think about what you want your character to be like. Bottom line is before we get into a situation that will be sticky to fix: I ask that you don't make your character a reflection of you or oneself in general. This goes for everyone if they happen to read that line. I gave Lucille aspects of myself that I wanted a.k.a her red hair. I've always wanted red hair and I still do, but what your character is like is all up to you.

I'm planning on giving my character a slight reflection off my personality or looks. Other than that, he'll be more Victorian and such. I'll go figure him out now c:

I'll go figure him out now c: Just to add in, with my characters I tend to give them at least one aspect of my personality and then mold the rest of them into an entirely different person. To me this helps me to work with them especially when they're new but I'm still able to create someone beyond me and use them to think outside my usual ideals. Especially with the Victorian era where women didn't do much and men did everything, even when you're adding in Steampunk elements, it gives you a challenge of "what could my character do? would it be normal? outside the box? would they be revolutionary for their time or just an average joe who ends up an amazing person?" You have limits but you also have possibilities to play with.
