Sisyphus was new, and it showed, but he was also experienced enough to be embarrassed -- blinking at another senshi around his own age, caught in the act of running like hell, muddied and a bit bruised. Out of uniform, when he flushed, it was usually beet red, a growing flush that started at his ears.

It was worse in uniform. Somehow the white of his fuku made him look all the redder. Maybe the darkness would cover it up some.

He drew in a breath and half turned. It was easier to be brave with someone stronger at his back. "D-draining people who were...were just watching the baseball game..."

Well. It should have been easier to be brave. Sisyphus still stumbled, a bit.

"It's just a little energy, they're not exactly going to miss it," Natron protested, but he was sizing the two of them up slowly. Did he have much of a chance? No, probably not - it would be best to beat a hasty retreat rather than risk fighting an Eternal. He began to slowly back away, pondering his options beyond that. The first-ranker's attack had left him way too exhausted to teleport, so there was no way he was getting in a surprise attack that way - which was probably his only option as far as actually fighting back went.

Damn it, he hated retreating, but sometimes a tactical retreat was better than needlessly risking life and limb.

"Fine. I'm not a fool, I'm not going to get into it with someone stronger than me." Especially not someone with an unknown quantity of magic, and when he didn't know if the new Senshi's abilities were dangerous.

"Have a wonderful evening, gentlemen," he said, sliding out from under the bleachers. He'd gather energy elsewhere for now - too much risk here.

Athene watched the departing Captain as he slid out from under the bleachers warily on the off-chance that it was a ruse and the Nega-officer was planning to double-back on them or something.

He relaxed slightly when that didn't appear to be the case, his hand relaxing as he shook his head at the other senshi's question. "Yes," he said quietly. "I think he really meant it when he said he was going to leave" and Athene wasn't the hunt down all Negaversers sort.

He absently tugged at the bit of his hair that had retained its braid as he looked at the colourfully dressed senshi, a note of cocern slipping into the quiet words as he asked "Are you okay?"

Athene felt relieved that the Nega-Captain hadn't had the chance to hurt the other senshi. At least mud was something that could be washed off or disappeared or whatever the heck mysterious cleaning service was that magically seemed to clean and mend their outfits on re-henshin.


The other was still speaking, and as Athene listed they reminded him of when he'd started out as a senshi about two or so years ago.

"You did what you could" he said simply once the other senshi had finished speaking. "Not all of us start out particularly good at this" a wry note crept into his voice as he continued "It's not like there's a manual out there on how to be a good senshi." Although given how much of his senshi 'career' had been spent stumbling in and out of things Athene knew he sure could have done with one.

"I'm Sailor Athene by the way" he continued "And I'm glad you're not hurt."

"Nice to meet you Sisyphus" Athene said quietly, although he reached out to clasp the offered hand without any hesitation. His grip was solid, but he made no attempt to squeeze as he shook the other senshi's hand.

At Sisyphus' question Athene shook his head "I wasn't going to, no" he admitted, "To be honest I probably wouldn't have come this way if I hadn't picked up on that Captain's aura" before adding "But I can stay around here for a little if you want."

Even though he was now an Eternal, Athene still didn't have a fixed patrol route, one place being as good as another for patrol purposes and he didn't particularly have anywhere he needed to be right now - he thought on it a little - at least he didn't think he did.

"I don't mind sticking around here" Athene said quietly. "There's no need to owe me a favour - I don't really have a fixed patrol route, so I can call this my patrol route for today."

He leaned against the side, absently tugging on the end of his braid as he added "Mayhaps we can catch up under better circumstances though, mayhaps talk" he hesitated before continuing "That is if you want to."

A look of surprise flitted across Athene's face when it sunk in that the other senshi had just told him his name - his real name.

But the other had backed up before Athene could say anything, the dark-haired senshi able to do little more but return the wave before Sisyphus disappeared into the crowd.

Settling back even more, Athene figuring that he may as well make himself comfortable seeing as he was going to be there for a while.

He stayed until the game was won and people had started to drift off, powering down back to Arian and slipping into the crowd pretty much as had done earlier.

He'd definitely be checking out the coffee shop that Sisyphus had mentioned earlier, but that was something for another day.
