Remarque remained by the mirror for a good half a minute. He waited until the silence was more than just uncomfortable, he waited until it was painful. He wasn't as in touch with his emotions as Raven was, but he knew that something was wrong. His stomach had a strange knot, and his body temperature had risen.
He was angry, but it was more than that.
He was disappointed.
He was hurt.
And she wasn't going to say anything more. Maybe that's what stung the most. Maybe they'd already said all there was to say.
He lowered his hand from the mirror and forced himself to stomach the feeling in his gut. The feeling to storm over there, tell her to chill the ******** out, the feeling to kiss her over and over.
But he couldn’t. She wanted him to go.
He loved her just enough to listen.

Raven held in the sob for as long as she could, then finally managed to swallow the damn thing. Thoughts were racing through her head a mile a minute, and finally, finally she sat up, half crying out. “Jett, don’t go. Please don’t go. Please, just…”
The girl broke off, staring at the mirror. He was already gone. God Damnit Jett…
Something inside of her seemed to crack at the realization, and whatever sobs she had been holding back came up like a torrent. There was nothing good about this night. Nothing good at all.
What was worse, she hardly had any energy left to cry.
