Cybele nodded slowly as he spoke, almost as if she was seriously considering his words. She wasn't, just putting them away with all the other various insults she'd heard since this senshi thing started. Everyone kept acting as though they didn't belong, and it tended to make her really mad. At least this one knew how to shut up, even if he did want to kill her instead. "My kind? Look, we're not from space and we're not doing anything bad," she said, keeping it simple and short as it seemed whatever this strange conversation thing was, it was not going to last long. "Also, we're not all the same!" Whatever that meant. Actually, she knew exactly what that meant, but she didn't need to dump her personal problems on someone who was already so intent on causing her pain. Instead, she had to do something before he managed to push her over again. Preferably something not stupid. "Anyway, mister dangerous, try it, I dare you. Cybele Hunter's Grace!" Yeah, that had been stupid, but the ethereal bow that had formed in her hands gave her some reassurance, at least. She pointed it at him as he came closer. "But remember, I can be dangerous too."

Leucite grinned as the bow appeared in her hands. There we go - there was the magic he'd heard the senshi possessed. Now things were interesting. He lifted his arms out and started to walk slowly toward her. "Well now, the truth comes out - you are no better than us then? By your own admission?"Let her shoot him - shoot at him, rather, he was sure he was going to rattle her aim. "Go ahead, do it - prove you're just like me, that you're willing to kill to serve your cause."Step by step he came. It was a risk - but the reward was great if he succeeded.

Cybele blinked. He was trying so hard to call her bluff, but there was really no way he could find out her secret. She half considered giving him what he wanted, just for the shock, but she figured he wanted to beat, mutilate, and kill her enough that she didn't consider that for more than a second. She kept the point steadily at his chest as he came closer, though. She pursed her lips and glanced from the bow to him as if hosting some valiant internal struggle. "You think I won't... do what I have to?" Another glance and then she nodded very subtly, as if to herself. Her voice was suddenly stronger when she said, "You're wrong!" Then, dropping the act, she shot the bow into the air. When the arrow fell onto her, she smiled as it became much easier to focus despite the pain in multiple parts of her body. His breathing reached her ears- a bit heavier than normal, she could tell. "But you're also wrong about something else. I'm not a killer, just an actress." It was probabally better if she broke the awkward peace. She threw a carefully calculated punch at his face. Maybe another surprise for him? "I do hunt the darkness, though."

Whatever her magic had been, it obviously had not been an offensive attack. As the arrow struck her, he blinked, his eyes widening when her fist came careening toward his face. His first thought was to block it, but there was no time. He took the hit square on the tip of his nose. He saw red as pain blossomed from the front of his face and enveloped him. He emitted a noise akin to a gurgle and a yelp. Stumbling back, his nose pouring blood, he didn't even move his hand to survey the damage. It wasn't broken - thank god and all the saints - but it was going to hurt for a very, very long while. The blood drizzled from his nose to the ground, and with tears in his eyes, Leucite did something very, very stupid. He jumped at her, both hands outstretched, going for her throat. His bellow was deafening to his own ears as he completely lost his mind.

Apparently, Cybele's power didn't really stop her from doing stupid things. It helped her see the results of them a bit more clearly, at least. Possibly because of that, she glimpsed a bit of red on the Negaverser's face. They had matching nosebleeds. Lovely. She could hear his harsh breathing after he roared at her. Those things didn't matter, but another thing did. She could see that his lower half was still completely open. Not taking the split second that was needed to consider his lack of strategy, she kicked twice more. Anyway, it wasn't like she was in a better situation. She couldn't both attack and dodge, so his hands found her throat. Maybe it was her magic that her claw at them desperately, or maybe it was just panicked instinct. It worked, though- her fingers slipped under his. She could breathe just enough, for now.

The kicks only served to enrage him more - though they had loosened his grip considerably. As she clawed at him and attempted to keep him from choking her out. All he could see was red, and pain. He was so far gone in his rage he no longer cared about tactics - It was all raw nerves and pain at this point. Roaring in incoherent rage again, he kept trying to choke her with his left hand as his right started to punch at her face repeatedly. Though really, at this point he was just trying to cause her as much damage and pain as possible, he didn't even care if she escaped at this point. He was fighting her fingers with his hand, practically foaming at the mouth in his anger. Beyond having lost his cool at this point, he left himself completely open. It was all offense now.

Being able to breathe a little more felt wonderful. Her face... not so much. Both hits found their mark, of course. It wasn't like she could move, so one spot at the corner of her eye and another a bit lower were roaring in rather sharp agony. Her gasps of pain were mostly stifled by the hand still around her throat. Her own fingers tightened despite the pain in an attempt to get it off of her. Eyes gleaming, she prepared to attack again when her magical concentration suddenly left. The kick she'd been attempting missed as everything became a little more blurred, a little more chaotic, a little more desperate. Still, her instincts were screaming at her to do something. To make the choking and grabbing and hitting stop. She wasn't really fighting the smartest either, now, and she couldn't see much past the tears in her eyes. She kicked again, trying to push him away from her instead of just causing him pain, and she pushed at his hand as well, trying to harshly dig her fingernails into it for good measure.

Being as close as they were, hits were going to hit, it was just a matter of how close to their mark. Leucite felt the kick impact him square in the hip, jarring him and forcing him to let go and stumble back. Panting raggedly, nose still dripping his ichor, he spat on the ground and wiped his face again. He looked like a mess. He looked like a monster. Lips curled into a snarl and eyes so full of rage he couldn't possibly be human. "Run..." He growled at the girl as he clenched his fist tighter, knuckles turning white as he tried to recover a bit of his breath. "While you still can... Otherwise I am going to kill you."This was a duel to the death - it almost always was. He was giving her one last chance to escape. He doubted she'd take it.

Cybele stood her ground as he released her, finally taking a few deep breaths of delicious air. For just a moment she stood rage filled and ready to attack again, but her desperation had faded with the intensity of the combat. Within a few seconds, she noted that most of her body was screaming at her, she didn't think she could fight much more, and she wasn't even sure what she was trying to do to his Negaverser anyway. Not kill him... make him stop, but he had. Still, she wasn't going to run away, even if she'd had the strength to. She dropped the fighting stance as she took the first step backwards. Her gleaming eyes were still glued to his face, watching for any sign that he was about to do something, though perhaps it looked like she was about to attack again. To do so would have been satisfying, but... no. She'd made her choice. She took one step then another as she began to slowly walk away. Her lips curled into a smile, then, daring him to stop her.

Leucite crossed his arms as she started to walk - no, not walk - saunter - saunter away. He scowled at her as she moved, he was starting to get tired of this game. His body ached and he was sure he was going to have all sorts of bruises later. Not that, that was unusual for him on any given day - but still. It was the sheer audacity she had to saunter away that vexed him. He would let her have her Pyrrhic victory though. He knew who would really win when it came down to brass tacks. Sneering at her as she walked away, he only added one thing in parting. "Savor the fact that you can walk away from this fight. Next time I will break you."

“Like you so successfully did this time?” Maybe she was kind of broken, but it didn’t matter, at least as far as he should be concerned. Taunting someone who could still technically come attack you again when you were exhausted from fighting was also probably not a good idea. However, Cybele was finally breathing at a normal rate again. Some of the pain was fading from her body, and with it most of the panic and thoughts that she could have been killed or seriously injured, so she wasn’t being the most careful. Still wearing a half forced smile, she took several more steps backwards. Then, she finally turned around and continued to saunter away, until she reached the end of the alley and turned out of his sight. After that, she ran.

As much as Leucite would have loved to chase her down and taken her out while her back was turned and sauntering away - he had no desire to even attempt it. The thrill was gone - the fight was over and it had been - to his mind - a draw. Neither had really won out. He might be better off in the wound department - maybe - it had been hard to tell how much damage he had actually inflicted on the senshi - but he knew his nose was going to be sore for days. Turning away from the battleground, he slowly made his own way out. He would probably have to call it a night unless he could clean himself up real well - there was no way he could drain anyone in this state, he'd probably start pulling seeds in his anger. With that - he took to the roof once more. Next time.... next time... stari_maga I'd say this one is done! Thank you for the battle! I'd love to have another later - Or anything really X3
