Garth hadn’t herd most of the conversation but he had heard the last bit the male had stated. “What’s the matter pink princess, you and your mate having a fight?” He looked her over lewdly. “You know if you want a real stallion you could come with me. I’ll show you a world that would your legs drop from under you in amazement.” He winked at her peering at her silver eyes wondering just how to steal this female from this male.
Tossing back her mane she smiled at the red male thrilled at the nickname princess, but less than pleased with his tone or gaze. “Thanks for the offer dear but this nameless prince charming is just to fun to torment for me to leave him just yet. Besides I don’t think my father would appreciate me taking such a trip and that might not end to pretty for you.”

"The nameless prince charming is named Itzal and would love for the narcissist princess to to realize that he can't be bothered," the stallion replied over his shoulder as he walked away. Yeah, she was a princess--a pampered, spoiled one. If it was anyone else, they would've been irritated by now, maybe flirted a bit themselves. But he was far from being in a majority, especially the southern majority. "And we aren't mates, womanizer."

Garth would have been annoyed with the woman had the male not spoken. No mates, and clearly the woman had been bothering him for a while if he was calling her narcissistic. Perfect. “A womanizer maybe but clearly I least know how to treat a female better than you. What a pity your dame taught you no manners.” He smirked at the other male’s form noting that he was walking away and leaving the little female to fend for herself. Narcissist?! That wasn’t necessary really. She looked at Itzal who was leaving. “Well Itzy at least I tried to talk rather than being a jerk with the sense of a rock.” She stamped her hoof annoyed at the pair of them. Males! No wonder her father trampled most who came close to her or her sisters. She noticed the mare chasing male come closer and she spread her wings wide as an instinctive warning. “Itzy might not know common curtsy but at least he knows space. Back up.” Her tone was peevish.

That got him to pause. "My mother's dead. Adopted one too, for that matter. As for the nameless princess's comment... I simply state what I observe. If you want sugar-coating, look to the idiot with space-perception issues. Well, until he gets what he wants. Then he'll ditch you faster than the desert rain evaporates." Turning again, he added, "So if there's nothing else either of you have to say to me..."

Garth snorted not caring a lick for the other male’s tragedy. He was even fine with the male slandering him since ‘Itzy’ was only making himself look like an untrained mule. Garth paused in his advance amused by the female more than anything. “Well I’ve nothing to say so good bye Itzy~ I don’t mean leaving you faster than the desert rain evaporates. Since you’re leaving the lovely little nameless princess.”
“The nameless princess has a name too you know. Aldea Amadeus.” She was pleased when she noticed the red male took a step back. Itzy leaving was nuisance still she felt bad for him having lost his family twice. She would be crushed if her pain in the tail sisters disappeared. Freaks they might be, but they were freaks with blood ties to her. “Sorry about your family Itzal, but you can state the truth without being a jerk. As for this creep. He’s not my type.” Her eyes narrowed at the still unnamed male’s movement. It wasn’t attacking but it was tensing.

"Ah. So you're Cardinal's legacy. That explains a lot. As for having tact, that would require me to have interest in others. If I actually cared what anyone else thought, I would've already told the nameless sweet-talker to go to hell about five times already." He started to walk, speaking over his shoulder to the mare. "I guess advice would be good to give...? Since you value yourself so highly, Miss Amadeus, I'd suggest you take flight. Because that 'creep' is liable to take what he wants the instant I'm out of range. ... If not sooner."

Cardinal’s legacy. That was one way to put it. Another way to put it was this mare was trouble. Still the thought of going head to head with Cardinal was tempting. Maybe he should just take the mare out of interest to see what would happen. He heard the other male’s advice and calmed his posture. The female was a wench but one of interest, or at least her family was. “Relax Miss Amadeus I’ll not take anything you don’t want to give. I bet if you spend some time with me you’d be willing to give me all sorts of things, unless the family-less wonder over there I’ve no sad sob story to cling too. I’ll even give you my name when Itzy here leaves. After all he was leaving and certainly isn’t coming back.”
Aldea rolled her eyes. “My sire explains nothing. I am how I am and you should stop sounding like that star maned nightmare Nocture.” Geeze seriously Aldea had only ever seen the mare once before getting dragged off by sumac when she was young but she remembered the mare that was Me’urra’s mate well. Always to the point with not thought or tack. Though Itzal talked a lot more. She faced the unknown male. “Sorry but your name isn’t something I’m all that interested in.” She started to walk a different direction from Itzal and the male. If he perused she would fly.

Itzal ignored the stallion's flirting; after all, it wasn't addressed to him. "You'd be surprised what your lineage can say about you." The comment about this 'Nocturne,' however, made him freeze in his tracks. "... Star... maned?" He turned to face Aleda, not attempting to follow her, but asking his question all the same. "Does she... have a blue pelt?" The name was too similar to ignore the possibility. Maybe she was...! Itzal's blue eyes were now sharp with attentiveness, whereas they'd previously been glazed with apathy. No, he didn't care about other Azrien, but his family was an exception. If there was a chance that this Nocturne was who he thought she was...

Garth ignored the male and patiently walked after the female giving her plenty of space. “Mmm… are you sure you don’t want my name. I’m one of the few that really wouldn’t mind challenging your father for your lovely little self. I would even keep you forever in luxury.” He ogled her but didn’t close the distance not wanting to scare her off when she was ready to flee. He could see in her jerky movements.
Aldea gave a huff but didn’t respond to Itzal’s inquiries. How could she with this creep following her. Picking up her pace to a trot she was ready to fly off. “Face my father? What a joke. He’d ground you to dust like the rest.” Her tail flicked as she needled at the male’s pride. “As for being your mate forget it. Luxury means nothing if it’s with some creep I can’t stand.” Princess she might be but she had standards!

Itzal listened to the conversation, but didn't move more than a few steps in the direction Aleda was fleeing into. The unanswered question gnawed at him more with each step the mare took away from him. When they were a bit of a distance away, Itzal started walking after them. It was a slow but steady pace, one that practically assured he wouldn't catch up with even the nameless stallion. But he had to know. With such a large possibility that this Nocturne mare was his sister... he couldn't ignore it.

Garth noticed the other male was following Cardinal’s daughter. Was he interested in the wench because of who her father was like Garth? He didn’t want any competition so the red male stopped and turned with a sneer. “You know you’ve already said you don’t care, so why not walk away? It’ll be one of the few things that keeps you from being hurt.” Garth’s hoof tore at the dirt once as he opted for a more aggressive stance. He was not going to be outdone by a stallion that looked like he belonged as a mare not a male.
Stopping Aldea realized she wasn’t being followed anymore and felt grateful. She peeked behind her to see the nameless male facing off against Itzy. She let out a small breath. Despite the fact that Itzy said he didn’t care, despite the face that he had been walking away there he was stopping the jerk from following her. He must have more heart than he lets on. Aldea found that quality rather cute. Annoying but cute. She didn’t know how strong he was but also didn’t know how strong the stranger was either. Hanging back she was curious to see what would happen.

Itzal's dull blue gaze slid to the other male. "Opinions change." His gaze shifted back to the mare. "Miss Amadeus has the answer to my question. So if you'd like to back off so we can have a polite conversation, that would be wonderful." The aggressive stance made him pause. "Are you... challenging me?" Something in his empty blue gaze changed, as if the distance in it had suddenly just vanished and made him sharply aware of the other stallion's presence.

“Opinions don’t change that fast without a reason.”Garth’s look was that of annoyance. This male was going to get in his way for a question? What was that Cardinal’s weakness? No Garth was going to deal with this pain head on. “Oh I’m not only challenging you but I intend to hobble you so that you won’t get in my way again.” Those eyes were unnerving but Garth was not about to back down. Not when he found a goal that was in sight.
Something had changed in the air about Itzy but she wasn’t sure what it was. He seemed focused and there unlike what he was like before. She was too far away to hear what the pair were saying but she had no doubt that what ever it was the nameless red male had overstepped a line somewhere. What could make Itzy react like that? She was curious and wanted to know but was not willing to get closer to that arrogant red jerk.

Itzal sighed and closed his eyes. "... How arrogant... I don't like challenges, but..." He opened his eyes again, a dark, violent expression suddenly flooding into them. "I don't plan on letting a moron like you 'hobble' me." A smirk graced his lips. "You're not going to let me get in your way?" His eyes narrowed, a bitter smile on his face as he closed the gap between them with a short burst of speed. "I'd like to see you try and stop me, you arrogant pup." Then he danced a few steps backwards, that bitterly confident smile hanging on his face. "It's proper etiquette to introduce yourself when challenging a stranger," he said innocently, blue eyes taunting the cocky stallion to comply.
How would he react, Itzal wondered, if he found out his lineage? True, his father hadn't terrorized the Isle in years, but his foster parents had gone on and on about his legacy. Would these newer Azrien even know about it? The demon whose blood he inherited...

Garth found a sense of challenge at the change in the other Azerin. His own blood stirred to the challenge. The attack and feint were of little consequence to him. “A privilege given to the winner most times, but perhaps since I know you I could make an exception. Garth Andvari.” It wasn’t so much a challenge to the other male’s words, but a concession that was made to a lesser opponent and his tone conveyed that in ways mere words could not. With that done he charged into battle ready to end his enemy. The blood pulsed though his brain and his limbs. He attacked Itzal.
Gasping Aldea shifted her weight at the sudden attack by Itzy only to be surprised by his sudden pull back. She danced to the side not sure what to expect when she saw the other male suddenly charging at Itzy like a mad beast. Her eyes widened not used to seeing combat in front of her. Her father always forbade her from witnessing him decimate his opponents and the lackies he had made sure she never got the chance to really see much of anything.
