Tortali nodded, rattling off her phone number for the girl. Anella. Now that was a pretty name. A pretty badass name as well. “Well…then I’ll head home too, I guess. It’s safer at home, I’ve noticed…so I think I’m beginning to like it there. It still seems so funny. I had a girl ask me about a month ago what I thought about all of the monster things in this city, and I laughed it off. I hadn’t believed any of the media or anything. I thought everyone was just crazy and completely messed up in the head or something…but now…now I just feel like the whole world has really gone to hell or whatever. And guess who has a backstage pass to watch it happen…”
She shook her head, rubbing her eyes for a moment. Well. That had been deep and unnecessary. “Oh god. Please, just let me get out of your hair before I make you think I’m a complete looney…later, Aventine. See you on Saturday!”
And with that, she bolted, thinking of all of the ways she could just block out the world before it caught up with her how dumb she had sounded in front of an extremely pretty girl. Life was rough. Yes indeed it was.
She held tight to the flower still clutched in her hand. Maybe that made it a little less rough...though only a little.

Anella had hastily scribbled the girl's number onto her arm, feeling very much like a young school girl once more. She hadn't thought twice about Tortali's words until she was talking about being loony—and then suddenly they just seemed so precious. She waved as the girl left, then fondly looked at the number on her arm.
Grinning, she tucked the pen away and pulled down her sleeve before skipping back home. Tonight had been more than a good night, and she wasn't going to stay out for long enough to let anyone ruin it.
