An Orderite mage! Uassae snapped as he tilted his wings to angle to the right. Moving back towards the forest covering. It hasn't noticed me, but certainly knows you are there. It's bloody hard to see. Being all green.

Erionda looked up as the vials turned into the water. She could sense the irritation in her bonded's voice. Biting the inside of her lip once again Erionda shifted uncomfortably. Mentally pleading for Kilian to hurry up, her eyes watching his hands carefully as they moved through the water. Time moved to quickly compared to the speed the strange companion moved. Anxiously shifting her feet again, her hand reaching out to silently warn him they needed to move. She could always tell him they would return later if he hadn't gathered all he needed yet.

Opening her mouth to speak, Erionda blinked at the Oblivionites strange and quick movements. Well of course there was trouble! "Oh." Was all Erionda managed to get out before the hand she had extended to warn him was quickly grasped and pulled forward. Her arm and shoulders spinning her body around and pulling her swiftly towards the trees.

Shock was the first emotion to register followed by a billowing protective rage. Uassae had seen the sudden grasp, instantly assuming Erionda was in danger but there was nothing he could do with the trees blocking them from view and an Orderite not far off. Erionda!

Erionda felt her heart speed up in time with her plodding feet. The now chilly air was welcome against her lightly perspiring skin as she broke into a faster run when they reached the cover of trees. Warmed from inside by the exercise, Erionda slowed to a purposeful stride.

Her sides hurt, she hadn't run that hard to keep up with anyone before. Doubling over with her free arm wrapping around her stomach, Erionda chest heaved with the effort of restoring air to her body. Ignoring the fact she had been touched by someone, and an Oblivionite at that. Clearing her mind of everything, except the warmth that emanated from the skin of the Oblivionite.

Realizing her had was still being touched, Erionda's form snapped up almost instantly before she pulled her hand back towards her body. She hadn't been hurt!? Her hair floating about her before settling in a mess around her shoulders. A few strands covered part of her face before she turned her face away from Kilian's view.

"Do you have all the water you need?" Lifting her chin defiantly despite the flush that crept up her cheeks, Erionda mustered all her bravado, projecting it into her voiced question.

Amadia started fidgeting and whimpered as soon as Kilian and Erionda had stopped. She could feel the adrenaline rushing off of Kilian and knew something was wrong. She nudged Kilian's free hand just as Erionda stiffened and pulled her hand away from his grip.

Kilian watched as she turned her face away from him. What was that about? He didn't have too much time to think about it before she finally spoke. "Yes, I've got enough. I'm so..." Before he had a chance to apologize for his actions and grabbing her as quickly as he had a noise sounded just outside the thick strand of trees they were currently hiding in. "We'd better go." He said as quietly as he could. For the first time, he used the bond, freely, that he and Amadia possessed. Amadia, protect us from behind. The Keinling, though young, could fight some. Though they had not practiced together much.

Reaching out, he went for her hand but pulled his own arm back just before he made contact. He would not touch her again. It had been obvious, early, it was not a welcome gesture. Kilian shoved the thought to the back of his mind. He needed to focus his attention on getting out of here. He was pretty sure he could find his way back without having to stay behind the hybrid.

They took off, trying to stay as quiet as possible. Kilian could now hear voices and shouted orders. He had gotten them into a fine mess. It had to of been done though. His cousin's life depended on him getting this water home. He just hoped that he hadn't also put someone else's life in direct danger. "I am sorry I got you into this mess." He muttered between labored breaths as they ran to safety.

A dejected sigh escaping Erionda as she shook her head. Where had the strange party of Orderites come from? It wasn't like Uassae was a beacon announcing her presence. None of the Orderites connected her to any bonded Drakein. At least not yet, and Rio wanted to keep it that way. The hybrid hurried along the forest path absently rehashing what she was supposed to say, or do, if she were caught by the Orderites. They knew the forest as well as she did. On the other hand, she knew the location of a Ysali dragon nest not far away. Rushing strait through the nest would alert the parents, but the screams following her and the Oblivionite were likely to pull the dragons attention away. Leaving Kilian and herself a chance to escape.

Stopping short, Erionda slowly scanned the area. Her eyebrows twitched at the apology. An Oblivionite was apologizing? To a hybrid? Giving him a puzzled look through the corner of her eyes Erionda's head shifted between the oncoming attack and the dragon nest.

"If you mean to apologize do it after we survive this." Erionda whispered sharply. "Right now there is just no time for it... This way"

Erionda plunged into the forest on the trail they had lightly marked on their way towards the lake. The one that lead close by the dragons nest. Leaping over rocks and roots, ducking under low branches. Erionda stumbled a few times but caught herself before her speed could be diminished by to much. Two thoughts kept rushing through her panicked mind. Why had the Oblivionite not left her behind as bait to escape. And why in the world of Magesc were they discovered.

The hybrid grimaced in determination as she sped up near the nest. The voices drawing closer to them as they ran. Of course they would need the dragons diversion. Her legs were short and with the length of the adults stride it wouldn't be long before they were over taken.

Busting into the small break in the trees where the Ysali dragons nested, Erionda let loose a loud scream. Her feet scuffing in the grass as she quickly changed course, reaching out to pull Kilian out of the way by his shirt as the shouts did exactly as she had predicted. The adult dragons were heading strait for the party behind them.

Releasing his shirt from her grip, Erionda turned and continued into the forest. Just a few more paces away and they would be free of the impending hazard. "I hate Orderites. Blending in with their green hair and green skin." Pushing a vine off her shoulder, twisting through a narrow set of tree's Erionda approached a log. "That water better be worth it." Erionda muttered between gasps of air.

Frowning, Kilian shook his head at the hybrid female. Could she not just accept an apology. He shrugged, then almost stopped dead in his tracks when he realized where they were heading. "The dragon nest?" He hissed as he tried to keep his pace up with Erionda as she jumped over roots and fallen trees.

He was reluctant to keep going in this direction but decided to actually trust her. She could have left him to find his own way through this forest but had stuck with him. Did she even realize that she could lose him very easily in this place? He suspected she didn't. Otherwise she would have been gone long ago. "I hope you know what you're doing." Kilian mumbled as they broke free of the trees and right into the dragons' nest.

His eyes widened at the scream she let out as soon as the trees gave way to a clearing. Kilian was taken off guard as her hand reached out and grabbed his shirt. Grunting, he stumbled and almost lost his balance. He quickly rectified himself and continued running after the female, smirking at the panicked shouts of those who had been pursuing him.

Her comment caught him off guard. "It was very worth it." Kilian's reply was solemn and very serious. He owed so much to his cousin. Life had dealt her with a pretty bad hand.

Shifting to position herself on the log, in her attempt to gain more air. Jamming her sword into the ground, her free hand fluttered to her chest to feel her heart. Trying to will her heart to slow it's race. "Research says, there is a stronger lake where my clan prefer to dwell. On a frozen continent." Taking in a deep shaky breath Erionda's shoulders relaxed. She could hear no trouble from behind them, both parties completely enthralled in killing the other. Good, at least she wasn't the main focus of the hunt this time.

"Maybe if that doesn't work I'll take you there. Someone who saves lives is worth keeping alive over someone who destroys them."

Lanzecki jumped from the log behind Erionda with a set of squeaks before Uassae landed with a growl. His large blue eyes focused on Kilian as he moved towards Erionda. Pressing his muzzle into her side with a snort. Double checking she was alright before he turned his gaze away from the Oblivionite.

"Thank you..." Kilian slowed his run to a light job, aware that they were no long pursued. His heart was beating wildly, not only from the running but also from the adrenaline of being chased and then running straight into a dragon's nest.

Amadia was about to join her new friend on the log when a large drakein landed near them. Amadia squeaked and stopped at the same time Kilian did. The keinling lowered itself to the ground and backed up next to Kilian, a small growl escaping her lips.

Kilian's hand instinctively reached out to Amadia's head. Be calm Amadia. Kilian said in what he hoped was a soothing voice for the keinling. Calm is what was needed. It didn't mean that's what he felt completely. He'd never been around a full grown drakein and it was making him nervous as all hell. He stayed in the spot that he had stopped and just watched the large beast interact with the hybrid. "Do they all become that big?" He asked before he could stop the words from coming out of his mouth. His gaze wondered over to Amadia in wonder.

“The lakes?” Erionda asked her eyes scanning Kilian. What an odd question to ask. Erionda thought. “I don’t even know how big the Aiskala frozen lake is to start with. So I can’t even begin to answer that one.” Erionda flushed suddenly wishing she had taken more time to study her fathers writing. The hybrids eyes settled on the new small Keinling her lips shifting into a thoughtful pout. “Unless you mean the Drakein?” Erionda thoughtfully touched her lips at the question.

“It’s possible. But it’s like asking if all Oblivionites grow the same.” Erionda nodded, satisfied with her answer. Shifting her gaze down to her wrist, flicking her fingers over her neck to check her pulse. It had slowed considerably. Leaping to her feet from the log Erionda plucked her sword from the ground. Her stomach growling with protest. Flustered by the betrayal of her body, Rio tried to brush it off. Insisting she were stronger than her baser needs. “Come Oblivionite, I will take you to the docks. From there you can find your way home. Right?” Pressing through the trees Rio was aware both Drakein and Keinling refused to leave the current trees.

Ducking under another low hanging vine. Rio checked to see if Kilian was following. “Keep that water hidden. I don’t need you bringing trouble my way, especially with the Orderites.”

Kilian's lips twitched and he wanted to chuckle. He kept himself quiet, though. She seemed embarrassed enough as is. "I suppose you're right." He said n response to the answer to his question. Each creature was different. Who really knew how they grew and if any one of them was bigger than the other. He looked back at Amadia, wondering if she'd get that big as well.

Kilian started following the female at the mention of the docks. He was definitely ready to head home. He had had enough action for the day and his feet were growing sore. He quickly stuffed the vials of water into his pocket for safe keeping, making sure not to knock them against each other too much.

It was at that point that Kilian didn't even know this hybrid's name. So much had happened since they first met that neither of them had bothered to introduce themselves. He wondered if she realized this and was waiting for him to say something. He rubbed the back of his neck as Amadia whimpered at the indecision she could feel coming from Kilian.

Kilian sped up a bit, coming up right next to her to walk. "My name's Kilian, by the way." He adjusted his stride and speed to match her's so that they could walk side by side. He had come to trust this female and he showed it when he walked next to her instead of behind her. This was his way of showing trust. He did not let many walk beside or behind him.

Erionda gave Kilian a sideways glance as he pulled up to walk beside her. Was this another strange Oblivionite custom? Keeping her sword stilled in her hand Erionda continued quietly without a word. Keeping her awareness focused on the strange male beside her. The Hybrid was caught off guard when the Oblivionite began speaking again. Giving a slight jump of surprise. No one other than the two Hybrids and Arick had found her worth their time or effort in giving their names.

Running her tongue thoughtfully over her teeth Erionda tried to correct herself. She continued ahead a few more paces in thought before she too spoke up. Returning the favor in polite motion. "I am Erionda, the Hybrid. I apologize if I was rude in calling you Oblivionite. Most do not wish to give names or receive mine."

Erionda bit her lip as she shifted around the trunk of a large tree. She was starting to wonder if she had read too much into the strange occurrences. She wasn't about to escort him back to Soudul. Not that a hybrid was welcome in such places to start with. Especially one with Orderite blood coursing through her veins.

Pushing out of the tree's and towards the busy life of the docks Erionda paused. "Take good care of that Drakein of yours. She deserves better than to be pushed away from you." Folding her arms across her chest Erionda tilted her head to the side. She wasn't sure if he even cared or listened to a word she said but Drakein were nothing like dragons. Her mind wandered back towards the mess around the dragon nest. She would have to double back and see how much destruction each side had caused the other. And if there was anything she could scavange from the field.

Kilian shrugged at her apology. "I am what I am. Oblivionite through and through." He looked off into the distance, realizing that he should be the one apologizing and not her. "I am sorry I called you half breed. It wasn't very nice."

As they pushed their way out of the trees, Kilian paused as well. He watched the masses move to and fro. No one really noticed the two of them as they stood there and talked. Amadia nudged Kilian's hand at the mention of her name. He looked down at her and gave a small smile. "She does deserve better than me." With a sigh he shrugged yet again. "Though I suppose she's stuck with me." He huffed out a breath as the keinling chirped happily. As if the thought of being with him for the rest of her life was the best thing in the world.

"Thank you again." Kilian said as he looked back up at Erionda. "My cousin gives her thanks as well." He gave her a nod. "Maybe we'll see each other again." He smiled and waved as he headed into the crowd to head home to his cousin.
