Conner had finished his plate and then cleaned his dishes, he then heard Raven say to wait Nightwing briefed on what they would be doing. He then watched Raven leave and tried to hold back the look of disappointment. He was ready for patrol and was very excited to get out of the tower though he didn't express it as much as Miss Martian.who also seemed eager for patrol. He wondered how long it would take Nightwing to brief them.

When Aria made her way in Conner made sure he wasn't in her way as she got her food. M'gann had told she was welcome to pancakes and Conner didn't object he made plenty they needed eaten anyway. When Aria told him thank you and the pancakes looked good Conner gave her a smile. "It was no problem.." He hoped they were, he couldn't help but notice M'gann's grin when she was getting her. He couldn't help but wonder why she was grinning he probably wasn't the best cook in the world and thought it showed in is cooking,

『 I was protected by the Monks of Azarath. I was raised by my friends! They are my family! This is my HOME! And you are not welcome here! Azarath Metreone Zinthos! 』

The Dark Titan re-enters the Lobby/kitchen, she looks at both Superboy and Miss Martian, "Superboy, Miss Martian, I have spoken to Nightwing, he approves of both of you joining me for patrol, go get whatever you two need, meet me back here," Raven informs the two. The Gothic witch stops for a while, feeling it will be best she tells them as well, "On a side note, we will be heading to the Dark Mansion near the outskirt of Jump City, like us, the young Miss of the Dark Household is a meta-human, some time back I extended invitation for her to join us but she rejected our invitation but I will like to ask her once again today...you two can try... convince her as well, since you two are new here, it might help to spark her interest," Raven tells them as well.

Once she finished cleaning up, M'gann looked around, waiting for any news. She walked over to the couch, sitting down. Taking a breath, she ran a hand through her hair. Looking at the other girl, she decided to try and be friendly. Walking over, she grinned and said, "Hey, I'm Miss Martian. I'm new here. You're...Black Rose, correct? Sorry if I seem creepy, but I just like keeping track of all the heroes." Listening to her own words, M'gann sighed inside, kicking herself for sounding so weird. She kept a smile on her face, but still felt like an idiot. She wondered how her uncle did it. He has been here so long and has plenty of friends. And he didn't even try. He just acted like himself. M'gann wished she was better at all this.

The reappearance of Raven pulled her out of her thoughts. The news that they will be going out on patrol made her feel much better. Hopping over, she grinned from ear to ear. "Really? I can't wait to go out. I know its dangerous, but this is just so cool to me right now," she said with a grin. Glancing over at Superboy, she wondered if he was feeling the same or if she was making a fool of herself. At the moment, she didn't care really. When Raven said they would have to stop and speak to someone called Miss Dark, she nodded. She hadn't heard about the girl before, but she would do whatever was needed of her. Chuckling slightly, she thought about what she might need. A moment later, she shifted her clothing into a darker color and grinned. "I'm ready to go whenever," she said joyfully.

Aria looked at the titan who introduced herself Miss Martian and smiled friendly at her. She listened as she apologized for seeming creeping and keeping track of heroes. She had also heard Superboy say it was nothing for her comment on how the pancakes look delicious and felt happy inside. She nodded and said "It is nice to meet you, Miss Martian. It is alright and you are not creepy. I have met a few others who fit that bill and you are not one of them." She said and the clover went on her shoulder to look at Miss Martian.

She then saw Raven come into the kitchen and tell Superboy and Miss Martian that they were going patrol with her and that they would be visiting someone to see if they would join the Titans. She smiled and gave a nod of greeting to Raven and saw how Miss Martian reacted to the news. She felt a little jealous but knew it was not right so she made it disappear. She felt happy for her fellow titans and knew that maybe she would be going on patrol one time. She had seen the others but had to kept to herself. She felt like she would better checking the plant defenses that she had set up on the shore line of the island.

She gave everyone there a smile and headed out of the area. She sighed as she knew that she was letting her emotions get the best of her and made sure she was smiling. She knew that the shore was not to far from where she was at the moment so she went up to her room quick and put the clover in a safe place. She headed down to the shore line and felt happy to be a Teen Titan.

The dark Titan looks at Miss Martian, "Let's go then," she informs the Martian. Raven knows many of the older Titans will find her actions strange today but whatever. "I am usually not like this but being what I am, I sense both of your uneasiness which makes me wanna make you both feel welcome...anyway enough of this, we have a city to look out for," the Gothic Witch says and takes flight, heading out of the open window and to city.

Conner watched the two girls MIss Martain and Aria as they introduced them selves to each other. He wasn't really one for conversation weather it was because he wasn't used to conversating with people he didn't know or if it was because he was a little hesitant of them he didn't really know, he just tried to keep his conversations short and sweet. He wondered if Miss Martain was keeping tabs on all the heroes including him or even Clark....He didn't mind if she was but it had him wondering how much she knew about him if she knew anything at all. Clones seemed to be taboo in every culture, they were on Krypton, here on Earth, so it stood to reason they were an Mars as well... he wondered how she felt about clones.

As Raven came back in the room telling M'gann and him it was time to go out on patrol Conner was pulled from his thoughts. He was thrilled with how eager Miss Martin was with going out on patrol. Conner had been on a ton of patrols with Clark but it seemed she had not and her willingness was inspiring it reminded him why he was a hero or tried to be. Then when Raven told them she just wanted to make them feel welcomed it was strange or maybe it was strange coming from her Conner really didn't know. He wondered how accepting she would be if she really knew of him, as he stood up to follow her and M'gann out the window.

When Black Rose left, M'gann gave her a polite wave, then turned back to Raven. Watching the witch leave through the open window, she had to take a deep breath. Patrol was a serious thing and had to be taken as so. Her uncle had told her many times that she had to keep her emotions under control and stay on alert when our on one. She was so glad that Raven was being so welcoming and even more so when the dark titan said it was unusual for her. M'gann hoped to get on the young heroes' good side. Maybe even become friends with a few. Though she wasn't sure how to make friends with others, much let humans.

Slowly, M'gann followed after Raven, flying into the air. It felt great to use her powers in front of others. For so long, she had tried to hide her powers, but not in her current company. She fit in with them. Well, mostly. She took a moment to take the vast city in before turning back to the tower, waiting for Conner. Her uncle had respect Superman enough not to tell the hero's little brother's secrets to her. And she respected that, even though she was curious. Everyone knew Superman was an only child, but this boy came out of no where. M'gann had to admit she wondered where he came from, but she was like that with everyone.

Mellony had entered the tower with Marko walking beside her. The door slid shut behind the two with a mechanical swish. She led him through the entrance hall and up a short flight of stairs to the elevator doors. She opened the elevator and walked inside it, keeping the door open until Toxin entered with her. Once he was standing beside her she pressed the button that would take them up to the kitchen. The ride was slightly awkward for Mellony to endure. She was trying to be more social, but it was still awkward for her.

The elevator got to the floor where the kitchen was and slowed to a halt. There was a quiet 'ding' before the doors slid open. Mellony turned to look at Marko and smiled, gesturing out the door.

"We're almost there, this way."
She exited the elevator and walked over to a set of double doors. They both opened with the same mechanical 'whoosh' that every other door in the tower had. Mellony turned back to Marko and jerked her head back towards the doors.
"It's in here."
She walked in and stopped just inside the doors before gesturing to the large kitchen in the back part of the main lobby.
"Here...Help yourself."

Marko "Toxin" Balkic

Your Potentially Poisonous Pal

Company: Syren, or Mellony
Thoughts: Wow, she's pretty. And her voice is amazing. And she's offering me food. So basically, perfection incarnate.
Feeling: Hungry. Very, very hungry. And interested...

The walk and the elevator ride had been in a nice, comfortable silence; Marko never found those moments to be awkward, and only offered Mellony a genuine smile whenever she happened to glance at him. The elevator hummed quietly as it went, and was thankfully lacking any pathetically butchered elevator songs; the ride was quiet, and Marko had no problem with that. Then the doors slid open with that pneumatic hiss, and he followed her out into the hallway. While his expression at the size of the tower hadn't quite reached the stage of 'wonder' or 'awe,' he was certainly impressed with the setup; it was decently large, bordering on massive, and offered a great amount of space for more or less anything.

Before he knew it, they'd made it to the kitchen doors. Marko grinned, giving a slight nod to her as he opened the door and gestured simply. "Thank you," he began, the gesture happening as he spoke. "After you." He let her walk in and gave a nod as he followed her, immediately setting to work about looking at what they had to eat. "Let's see here... You want anything? I'm feeling in the mood for starch. Starch first, then protein. Make sure I can hold everything in, after not eating for a while. Starch is good for that." At this point he was muttering to himself, digging through the cabinets and pantries, before finally righting himself and grinning like he'd won the lottery. "Oh yeah," he grunted, staring lustfully at a box of powdered mashed potatoes. "This'll do just fine." He grabbed a box of breadcrumbs to go with it, a bowl and a frying pan, clicking the stovetop on as he immediately set to work mixing the mashed potatoes. A cup or so of milk, half the box of potato powder, and he'd gotten a thick mess of potatoes.

He glanced almost warily at Mellony, as if he were embarrassed to ask the next question: "Uh... You guys wouldn't happen to have any vodka around here, I'm guessing?" Probably not, considering they were heroes and a lot of them were probably underage. Hell, in America, Marko was underage! He chuckled at that thought, shaking his head as if to say, 'nevermind,' and reached into his jacket pocket. A moment later he'd removed a silver flask, and was unscrewing the top as he began talking. "It's really just for fluffiness," he muttered, shrugging off the explanation. "Alcohol gets cooked out of it, mostly. Besides, I've spent about three fourths of my life in Russia. I don't think there's a single recipe from there that doesn't include vodka somehow. Hell, they put it in their cereal sometimes, instead of milk!" He laughed at that, tossing a splash of the clear, strong-smelling liquid into the bowl. It was a bit thinner now, and he smirked as he splashed a bit more vodka into the heated frying pan. It sizzled before immediately flaming up a bit, and Marko grinned. He poured the mashed potatoes into the breadcrumbs, then tossed those into the pan like pancakes, and even flipped them like pancakes after a minute or two.

Eventually he had a plateful of mashed potato pancakes, steaming and just a bit crunchy on the outside, with straight mashed potatoes in the middle. Fluffy, crunchy, perfect. He crunched down on one with a wide grin, offering thee plate out to Mellony if she wanted one. "They're really good," he promised, then chuckled a bit. "So says the starving kid, anyway. If you're a bit wary, can't say I blame you. I wasn't exactly thrilled the first time I was offered some, either- but let me tell you, these things aren't just delicious. They've saved my life maybe five, six times already." He chuckled again, taking another bite and finishing his first as he picked up a second and began looking around for something else. Something more. He was going to tear this place up getting himself some grub, that was for sure. But it would be worth it. So totally worth it.

After a few more moments of munching, he'd found himself a bunch of eggs. "Looks like it's breakfast for... Whatever meal time it is," he muttered, smirking to himself as he walked back over to the frying pan. "So. Mellony," he began, cracking the eggs and slapping them into the frying pan even as he grinned up at her, "How long have you been a Titan, hm? Like it here? And, ah... If you don't mind my asking, do you have any sort of, y'know, powers?" In his experience, the best way to have a conversation with anyone was to get them to talk about themselves. Even the shy, insecure ones really wanted to talk about themselves; they were just afraid no one would listen. Well, Marko was asking with the casual, friendly sort of air that felt like he was really and truly interested in everything he was asking about; and in truth, he was. The whole experience, the Titans, the good guys, the friendliness; it was all so new. His usual work experience wasn't exactly a friendly environment, so talking to his newfound teammates was one of the aspects he found particularly enjoyable.

Mellony watched quietly as Marko snooped around the kitchen, looking for different things to eat. She shook her head when he offered her something to eat.
"No thank you."
She spoke softly again, not even sure if he would be able to hear her. He was muttering to himself as he went, so she didn't pay much attention. She hadn't moved very far into the room, staying just off to the side of the door. But as Marko rummaged around, Mellony went over to one of the various counters they had. She backed up against it an planted her hands on the edge. With a small jump, and a quiet grunt, she heaved herself up onto the counter. She scooted back ever so slightly, and sat there, watching Toxin as he worked with her legs crossed neatly. She zoned out slightly until Marko asked her if they had any vodka in the tower. She blinked a few times before shaking her head.
"Um...I don't think so, sorry."

They had a pretty substantial batch of alcohol that Mellony had bought to use for cooking, but she had never used Vodka in any recipe. If she wanted booze to drink she had to go out to a bar like a normal person. Though it wasn't her favorite thing to do, with all those people around and staring at her. Sometimes she just needed the escape. She watched as Toxin took out a flask and finished making...whatever it was he was making. He held the plate out to her and she hesitantly reached forward, taking one gingerly with her right hand. She brought the pancake to her lips and took a small, dainty bite out of it. She sat there, chewing quietly for a moment. She seemed to need to decide whether or not she actually liked it. She took another bite, getting a bit of crumbs on her right cheek from the edge of the pancake thing bumping there.

Mellony was so absorbed in eating the small pancake thing that she didn't even notice Marko making something else. Not until his voice broke into her thoughts again. By that time the pancake was almost half gone. She blinked a few times and looked over at him, the spot of crumbs on her right cheek seeming to have replicated itself on her left. She swallowed the small bite of potato pancake in her mouth before speaking.

"Not very long actually. A few months, I think. Yes...about six. It's...lovely here. Everyone's so nice."
She smiled at him before taking another small bite. She used the bite to think. She wondered how to go about explaining without having to delve into her traumatic backstory. She swallowed her bite and continued on.
"I do. But I wasn't born with them. They were......acquired..."
She paused for a moment, trying to think of the right word to use for how she got them. Acquired probably wasn't the perfect one, but it was the first one that popped into her head.
"I can breathe underwater...and...hypnotize men to do what I want..."
She stated her second, and most prominent, power quietly, looking down at the pancake in her hands. Everyone reacted differently to hearing she could hypnotize others. Usually hypnosis was labeled as an evil or villainous power. But she wasn't evil. She didn't want anyone thinking that...She took a deep breath and looked up at him again, shifting slightly.
"What about you? Have you any powers?"

Marko "Toxin" Balkic

Your Potentially Poisonous Pal

Company: Syren, or Mellony
Thoughts: Hypnosis, that's pretty cool. Better than making people sick, I guess.
Feeling: Want to talk to this Mellony chick some more. She's interesting.

"Acquired, huh?" He muttered, putting two and two together; the tattoo on her shoulder, the way she phrased how she got her powers. "Some kind of test subject, then. An experiment," he concluded, frowning a bit. There was no pity there, but he was saddened at that; he'd seen his fair share of messed up things in this world, and kids getting experimented on was one of them. That's how people got messed up in the head. He gave a little nod, not pressing the issue. "Breathing underwater, that's useful. And hypnotizing, also useful. Is it just men, though?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "And how do you do it? Like, eye contact, just thinking about it...?" He turned back to his eggs for just a moment, flipping them almost expertly and smirking to himself.

"Oh, me? Yeah, I've got a few powers. Well, just one, really. I've got this... Stuff. Some kind of poison, I guess. Real nasty stuff, getcha coughing like mad in no time. Gives you a nasty rash, too. But in its solid or liquid form, you get these nasty lesions and blisters, and if you eat it or whatever you'll be dead in a minute or so. And I turn into a cloud of smoke, too," he muttered, shrugging casually. If people thought hypnosis was an evil or villainous power, his might seem downright monstrous in contrast. "It's kinda like flying, I guess. But yeah, I was born with it. Never really showed up until I was... About eight, I think. Eight or nine. Right when I needed it," he muttered, giving a light shrug as he finished his eggs and slapped them on a plate. One of them slipped off and into the fire; he sighed, letting it burn. The smoke billowed out of the egg in a black column towards the ceiling, threatening to tickle the fire alarm; rather than hit it, however, it swirled back down and into Marko's hand, sinking into his skin. When it was done, he wriggled his fingers and gave a smirk as he looked back to Mellony.

"I'm glad it's a nice place," he acknowledged suddenly, chuckling to himself as he began downing the fried eggs. "Last few places I've worked... Actually all the places I've worked in the past, they haven't really been all that... Friendly," he muttered, frowning slightly. His frown was lost, however, as he took another bite of egg, and smiled up at the pink-haired girl. "So, what's a kid do for fun around this place, huh? Got some video games, maybe Dance Dance Revolution or something? Maybe a guitar. I miss my guitar. Or are you guys too busy always running around and saving the day?" He asked, eyebrow raised as he leaned back against the counter she was sitting on. He silently chewed down another bite of eggs as he glanced at her, watching for a reaction to both his powers, and his questions. Both would provide valuable information, at least in Marko's mind.

Jinx
Titan and former criminal

User Image Jinx took the elevator to the top of the Tower, thinking about Starfire's acceptance of her. Matter of fact, Roshni's cheeks still had a slight pink glow to them recalling the Tamarian's 'glomp' attack. The final dinging sound from the elevator announced the pink haired sorceress arrival at the top floor. Pushing her cart into the short hallway, Jinx noted just how odd it felt to actually be here. The cat-eyed Gothic girl vividly recalled the first time she invaded these halls -- as an enemy. The doors to the main lobby and kitchen area hissed open, as Jinx rolled her cart inside. After parking her luggage laden cart against a wall beside the double doors, Jinx surveyed the interior.

At the moment, the majority of the spacious room was unoccupied except for a lean boy wearing casual clothes and a maroon watchcap talking to an attractive bespectacled girl with long pink hair. 'Watchcap boy' seemed to be leaning toward the girl.... and paying particular attention to her cleavage supported and pushed upward by a tight black corset. Jinx arched an eyebrow as she slowly approached the kitchen area the pair are occupying, No, she's not trying to get boys attention. Nope! Not one bit......

Carefully listening in case an intervention is required, Jinx walked to where the stove was and the odor of cooked food hit the goth witch. Immediately, Roshni's stomach growled, Oh great... (Sigh) Okay, what else is there to eat -- since there aren't any leftovers from the food I'm smelling. Let's see.... The slender pale goth opened the fridge, and began to examine the contents. Any observers would now simply see Jinx's rump and legs out from the now open fridge.

Mellony nodded her head as Marko repeated the word ‘acquired’. She was looking down at the remainder of her potato pancake when he spoke again, putting two and two together to figure out what she was. She looked back up at him and nodded her head.
”A test subject. Exactly.”
She swallowed hard and set the last quarter of her pancake down to be disposed of. She suddenly wasn’t very hungry anymore. But Marko seemed interested in her powers. She nodded once more. Breathing underwater was a useful skill. Though she hadn’t really had a chance to put it into practice yet on a mission or anything. He asked more about her powers. And she nodded her head once more.

”It’s only men. Doesn’t work at all on women.”
She rubbed the bits of crumbs from her cheeks with the palms of her hands and listened as Toxin spoke again, asking this time how she accessed her hypnotic powers. She dropped her hands into her lap and looked up at him once more, chewing her lower lip gently before answering.
”It’s…embarrassing. I have to sing to hypnotize them. Not very loudly though. A soft tune or a hum could do the trick. The stronger the willpower of the man’s mind…the harder it is for me to take control…”
She smiled again at Marko, trying to hint that the stronger the man’s mind, the louder and more powerfully she had to sing. She hoped he understood what she was trying to say.

She listened quietly and leaned towards him slightly as he spoke about his own powers. Interesting. So he could make poisons. And potent ones at that. That would certainly come in handy. Although as heroes they didn’t usually kill people so the solid, ingested form would be basically useless. Right? She smiled and nodded her head, watching him closely with her violet eyes. She watched what he did with the smoke with a bewildered expression. Her jaw was practically at the floor. She had never seen anything like what he had done.

”Wow…”
The word came out as little more than an escaping breath. What Toxin had done was really quite amazing. At least…to her it was. She blinked a couple of times when he began to speak again. Honestly she had drifted off to her own thoughts, still slightly mesmerized by what he had done. But she was paying attention now. He was wondering about what there was for a Titan to do. Well…there certainly wasn’t much since they were basically at war. But there were still a few attractions.
”Well…there is tv. And we have many consoles. Each with various games. I am certain there is a music shop in town. As well as clubs and other stores.”

Marko "Toxin" Balkic

Your Potentially Poisonous Pal

Company: Syren, or Mellony... And that other pink-haired girl, whose name I don't know.
Thoughts: Singing. That explains why her voice is all distracting and stuff.
Feeling: Wanting to check out that music shop in town. I miss my guitar...

Toxin nodded slowly as she explained how she used her powers. It made sense; her voice was practically putting him in a trance even as she spoke. He blinked that off furiously, not pleased with that thought; if her talking almost put him in a trance, he certainly didn't want her singing around him. He kind of liked being in control of his own actions. Then again, he considered himself to have decent enough willpower. Right? So hopefully resisting wouldn't be too hard. And hopefully it would never come to that in the first place. A part of him was sad that any of this was even concerning; she was a teammate, wasn't she? He smirked to himself as she suddenly became mesmerized by his own demonstration of power; that had honestly been next to nothing, but it pleased him to show off. He liked being impressive, what could he say? "Wow?" He chuckled a bit. "I'll show you wow some other time. That wasn't wow, that was 'hm.'"

Then she explained the entertainment perks of being here. There was TV and video games- that much was perfect. He might have been a superpowered teen, but he was still a teen. And video games were one of his favorite pastimes. And the music shop in town meant he could get a new guitar, assuming he got paid or got it for free; he hadn't a single cent to his name, and he was assuming that Teen Titans didn't really get a 100% discount anywhere. So that might take a bit. Hopefully not too long, seeing as music was basically Marko's soul, his lifeblood. He couldn't live without music. But they had clubs, which was always nice; a night life was a fun thing to have. And stores, of course, although Marko wasn't exactly a big shopper. "So... Do we get like, paid for this? Or do we just get free stuff, or how does this work? Because I want that guitar. And when I get that guitar, I want to play you a song. I can't hypnotize people when I sing, but I like doing it anyway," he joked, grinning sheepishly as he admitted it. He had fancied himself a rockstar without a fanbase for a while, and was in fact pretty decent at both the guitar and singing. He didn't do it often, however, and even less often for an audience. But the whole 'showing off' thing felt nice, and if she had been impressed by that little smoke bit... Well. Studies said guys just carrying guitar cases around were three times more likely to get a date. He liked those odds, especially considering he could actually play.

He was about to reply when suddenly the other pink-haired girl entered, and eyed them for a moment. There was something unsettlingly familiar about that gaze; then he remembered the suspicion she'd received from the others outside, and realized. She must be like him. An ex-criminal, who'd put her days of darkness behind her... Right behind her, if the suspicion was any indication. He continued eating fried eggs as the girl silently went over to the fridge and swung it open, bending over - for a particularly nice view, even despite Marko finding her skin tone to be detracting from her overall beauty - and digging through the fridge's contents. They're alright," he muttered, nodding to the plate of them on the counter. "They're not actually pancakes," he explained, realizing that their name sounded a little disgusting.
