Junjie gave a little jump at the splash, watching as the rock that Tilawen tossed in just disappeared from sight, "Wow... well, I guess it's that deep." He said, giving a little laugh, pacing along the edge of the water, seeming to be debating if it were a jump that he could make or not. It was a little debatable, "Hrm? Swim?" He said, looking at the water for a moment, then shook his head rapidly, "No, I don't swim. I don't know how." He said that in a whispered tone, as though he were embarrassed by the fact that he was unable to swim. Was she able to do so? He couldn't help but to be envious of such a skill. Junjie loved the water but he couldn't go into it, just near to it, "Maybe... maybe there is something we can use as a bridge across?"

He looked around the area, trying to see if there was something that they might be able to walk across, maybe a stick that was long enough? It would be better then an attempt at swimming across since he was likely to swim about as well as Tilawen's rock had... which was not well at all... Giving a sigh he started to move around the cavern, trying to spot something that he might be able to use to get himself across to where the island was located in the water, "There has to be something that we can use as a bridge." He murmured to himself.

It was surprising that he didn't know how to swim, Tilawen had known ever since she could remember, it was one of those survival skills Burrom had taught her early on so she wouldn't slow him done so much. Peering into the gloom she wondered if there was anything in the middle that could help Junjie cross but she couldn't see well and so perhaps it would be best to look once she got over there.

"I can swim over. See about a bridge." She mentioned as she went to take off her dress, after all it would only weigh her down and and only in her bloomers and her undershirt she handed Junjie her clothing. In the gloom her eyes seemed to glow and she went to dip her toes in the water and shivered. It was ice cold, she was glad she didn't have to swim far. Moving forward she found that she could touch bottom even as it got to her shoulders, but finding this to be too slow and unnerving she was quick to shift position to swim instead. In no time she was at the other side although her skin felt like it was covered in goose bumps from the cold.

Hidden Treasure Prompt
Approaching the pile, you wade through the cold pond waters. It is not deep and you can see small fish swim away from your noisy intrusion. As you reach the pile, you can see it is mostly rocks and trash gathered by some small creature, but amidst the trash you find an Ayrala and Peisio Dragon Orb! (one for each participant)

As Tilawen decided that she would swim it, leaving Junjie to search for a bridge, the boy set about doing just that. He didn't want to be left along, he wanted to be able to go with her, to see what was in the junk pile that the cropher had gathered, some stuff looked shiny from this side of the water. As he went he noticed something flittering through the water, what looked like... fish? He gave a sound of delight, following one of them for a ways, a little distracted from what it was that he was supposed to be doing when he noticed something that had his eyes going a bit wide, "Ah! Tilawen we can..." He trailed off, looking over at the girl who was already swimming across. Oops, well, never mind telling her it was far more shallow over here.

After shrugging out of his cloak he set to wading across where the water wasn't as deep, cheeks coloring a little, feeling bad that she had swam across when she didn't need to. Well, at least she could walk back across with him on the way back he thought to himself. Once across he moved to join her, "Ahh... it... umm... well, over there was a little bit more shallow. Maybe we should have investigated further, huh? We will remember that for next time." As though the two of them would go exploring random caves again sometime, "Alright, now lets see what the cropher gathered!" He said, going from embarrassed to excited in a snap.

As he approached the pile the cropher gave a rather displeased cawing sound but didn't do much more then that, as though it didn't want to get into a tussle with the two children that were far bigger then it was. A bonus since they were already scratched up from just getting to this point.

Tilawen looked slightly annoyed as Junjie managed to find a shallow spot and cross without getting soaked as she had moments before. Sighing he supposed it was her own fault she didn't analyze the situation properly and thus did something that should of been easy the hard way. Wringing out her hair with her hands she gave a small cough before she moved over to take back her clothing. Though she didn't put it on right away as well..she was still rather wet and didn't want her clothes to get soaked.

Shivering slightly she looked about the stuff littering the ground the sunlight still teased them by causing a few things to twinkle seductively in the gloom. She suppose they should take a look and squatting she started to lift things out of the way, examining pieces of metal..horse shoes and other random junk before moving it to the side. It wasn't until her hands touched a dragon orb that she went still. Doubtful that she actually saw what she was seeing she hauled out one of the blue orbs looking at it in wonder. What...the heck? Now if was already obvious the cropher didn't kill a dragon to get the orb, but quite possible it had found it when the dragon had died and then made off with it.

Excitement actually bubbled forth as she silently shoved the orb in Junjie's direction.

Junjie lifted up on his toes, watching as Tilawen went digging through the cropher's pile, curious as to what she might find in there. It seemed like a lot of odds and ends, random things that the creature had made off with, likely from farms in the area, and when the girl went still he did as well, "What is it?" He whispered, wondering if maybe she'd found something moving in the pile. Maybe something creepy? An aracnid?! He sure hoped not but he took a careful step forward toward the pile, ready to stomp on any bugs that might be in there... when suddenly a Peisio Orb was being shoved in his direction, "A-Ah? What?" He squeaked out, using the edge of his shirt to dust it off before holding it up to look at it in the sunlight, "An orb? What is this doing here?" He murmured, looking up at the cropher that was watching them.

"It... how did it get an orb?" He question Tilawen, not that it was likely that she would have any better idea then him. He gave a bit of a chuckle, "It's neat though, a free orb without having to do anything dangerous like find and fight a Peisio Dragon." It was pretty lucky, wasn't it? Hugging it close he looked toward the pile once more, "Do you see anything else neat in there?" He wasked, wondering if the pile would cought up any similar wonders or if this was the only diamond amongst the odds and ends that the cropher had gathered to this point. Even if it was he had to admit that it was quite the find.

Tilawen nodded her head showing her excitement in the find his own questions echoing her unsaid ones but she was glad she wasn't the only one to wonder how a crowpher managed to get dragon souls. Still despite this discovery they were to be even more flabbergasted as she managed to fish out three other ones. Two of each kind enough for them to share directly down the middle. Such a wonder! She felt thrilled to have found these things and yet now the question was how to get them out of there.

"Go back?" She inquired after much digging through the pile revealed nothing else of value there, unless you counted the odd broken earring or necklace. Still she cradled the dragon souls protectively in her arms before..reluctantly split the horde in half giving the boy one of each type. After all if it hadn't of been for his curiosity she never would of gone into the cave.

Junjie couldn't help but to stare, eyes wide and mouth hanging open as Tilawen dug out a few more orbs, "Oh... wow! Look at these! What do you suppose these ones are? Hm... maybe... maybe Ayrala orbs?" They looked similar to an Ayrala Drakein that he'd met in the past so maybe that was what they were? They had the same, silvery coloration to them which he found fascinating. When she handed him one of the silver colored orbs along with the blue one she gave him earlier he gave her a smile, "Two for me? Really? Wow! Thanks!" He chirped, hugging them close. Nothing like getting two such amazing orbs without having to go into a dangerous battle, especially given he had no idea where such orbs came from. It only made it that much stranger that the cropher had them.

"Makes you wonder if maybe it stole them from a warrior or a merchant or something." He mused, then shrugged, "Ah well! Finders, keepers, right?" He gave a grin then motioned to her to follow him back to where the water was more shallow, moving to scoop back up his cloak, wrapping it around the orbs, tying it in a makeshift bag to carry them safetly out of the cave. For a moment he looked around, taking in the high up tunnel before looking back toward where they had come from, "Best that we probably just go back the way we came from. As curious as I am about where that one goes we are kinda weighed down at the moment." He really would like to know where that one went but for now it was probably best to stick with the path they knew. It was prickly and pokey, sure, but at at least they knew it went back to the beach, right?

Now to leave.

Hidden Treasure Prompt
Go to "Leaving B" if you wish go out the tunnel in the middle of the wall or "Leaving A" if you wish to go out the tunnel in the wall.

As you leave the cave behind you and crawl through the dark winding tunnel the sharp rocks protruding from the walls scratch and gouge you. It gradually slopes upwards, back towards the surface. After a while, you reach another tunnel. Looking down you can see the tracks that you made earlier. Following them out, you squeeze out back onto the surface. The sun is now on the horizon.

The young girl had to wonder the same thing, though she had her own theories she had a feeling the creature had probably stolen the items from a merchant...or maybe some poor warrior who had just managed to finish off a drakein before the crowpher swept in and stole it. Strangely she didn't feel sorry for the person(s) who had lost the orbs, after all it made fine prizes for the two of them.

As they went to exit the cave she had a hard time trying to squeeze through the tight space the orbs in hand. She had to angle herself pretty awkwardly before finally managing to get out more cut and scraped than before. At least Junjie's mother was a healer they would need it after there little escapade. The sun was already getting low and that was a bit worrisome, she wanted to get home before it was dark...facing monsters in the dark wasn't exactly something she wanted to do for fun.

"Sun is low." She commented, though she didn't sound worried she hoped that Junjie knew a fast way home.

Hidden Treasure Prompt
Free at last!: Please rp you characters thoughts and feelings as they travel along the path and leave the cavern behind. You may include their trip home if you so desire.

Once the two of them had escaped from the tight, dark tunnel Junjie pushed himself up to his feet and set to brushing away as much of the dirt that would come off though he knew full well that he must be a wreck if he looked anything like Tilawen. Giving a smile the brunette boy lifted a hand to brush his hand against his messy, dirt filled hair, before he gave a chuckle, "Ahh... haha, that was fun!" He said, knowing full well that he was going to need a bath if he wanted to free himself from the various stains that he had gathered during the adventure.

Turning to look over at Tilawen when she commented on how the sun was low he glanced over in that direction, before giving a squeak, "Ahh... yeah, looks like we were in there a while, huh?" He murmured to her before he gave a smile, "Guess we should probably hurry back before our parents start to worry." The last thing he wanted was for his mother to come searching for him since that would likely make it so that she was a little more wary about letting the two of them run off to have fun on their own. Giving the redheaded girl a smile he said, "Come on, let's get going! We can show off our new prizes when we get back!" He said, excited to get home to show the two new orbs to his mother. She would be happy to see that he'd gotten such things without having to resort to fighting which she didn't seem to care for.

Adjusting his makeshift pack which he'd made out of his cloak he gave his friend a nod before they started toward home, Junjie all but bouncing along as he went.

The young woman nodded her head, though she wasn't exactly sure that Burrom would be worried, maybe he would be relieved happy even if she disappeared it was a rather depressing thought. She wasn't able to linger on the idea for long as Junjie's rather excited and chipper manner seemed to make the darkness recede a bit.

Giving the smallest of smiles that felt alien on her face she gave a half shrug. She wasn't sure if fun was the word she would of worked on, she was still cold even re-clothed and if asked to describe their adventure...fun probably wasn't the work she would of used. More like..profitable.

"Let's go." SHe stated with a small nod of her head lifting a small hand to lightly touch his arm before dropping it and moving forward. It was time they got home and she would love to warm up in front of the fire..perhaps with more cookies.
