"Look, I..." He was on the verge of starting another spiel in an attempt to talk himself out of the situation once more, his own brow furrowed as he tried to clear his head. A rather blatant curse was the next thing out of his mouth, however, when he saw the newcomer to the playing field. "********."

"Not so chatty now, are you?" A dark brow lofted as she crossed her arms over her chest before glancing back over her shoulder towards the other senshi. "Are you alright?"

The Lieutenant tried to take that moment where the eye were not all on him to pull himself back along the ground, trying to put just a bit more distance between himself and the two women. For all that he hadn't gotten to see what Persephone's powers were he was rather familiar with Corvus, or had been before she'd gotten a wardrobe change and he wasn't too certain, all things considered, that he wanted to know what the two of them would be capable of now.

"He's not the only one who should be getting out of here. Screaming civilians generally draws the sort of attention that neither side wants to deal with." She murmured, turning her back to the Lieutenant as she did so as if daring him to attack her.

Her eyes drifted over the other senshi, the line of her jaw set. "You're hurt." Captain Obvious. "Can you make it to the rooftops?"

It was tempting; so very tempting, to spring to his feet and run at the two. If he could catch the darker one by surprise just long enough to get his hand in to her chest... The starseed of an eternal senshi would have to be worth something.

A part of him was shocked by that thought as it filtered through his head, yet another part insisted on telling him that he would be stupid to try, especially since she seemed to want him to attack her. He held off, ignoring that bristle of irritation as he pulled himself back just another foot away before pushing himself to his feet... And sprinting off as quickly as he could in the other direction, looking for any dark corner to power down unseen within so that he could make an easier getaway without being tracked.

The midnight senshi's eyes narrowed as she eyed the other girl with a strong sense of scrutiny. "If you were paying close enough attention you should have learned two lessons tonight; three if we're pushing it. Don't come out to fight when you're already hurt; you put yourself at more of a risk than necessary no matter how strong the urge to protect might be... And if you're going to come out to fight when you're already hurt at least have enough sense to call back-up first."

There was something bitter about her words, an irritation that might not have been entirely intentional. Experience, maybe? Or was it that trace of loss at the mention of 'back-up' that seemed to give that up?

"I am Corvus." No fancy introduction, no pomp and circumstance while she lingered on her rank and titles. "... And if you don't mind, I'll see you back to the hospital?"

"It took me a while to learn." She admitted with a light shrug of her shoulders and then, for the first time since making her appearance, a bit of a roguish smirk. "I thought I could do it all on my own; that I could defend the city, fight evil, keep my friends and family safe..." The smirk faded at that and she seemed to go cold again.

"I was stupid. We aren't made to be Lone Rangers. Hasn't anyone told you that?" Her brow lofted as she glanced over to the other again. "How new are you?"

"Are there others? Like you?" That was, quite possibly, the most stupid question the Eternal Sailor could have asked. No, she could have asked if the sky was blue, which would have been worse, but it was likely a given that there had been a number of 'new' senshi since her last patrol in Destiny City.

"... Better asked... Do you know others like you? Other recently awoken Sailors? I am certain there are more, but the cats..." Stupid cats. "They're supposed to be telling you things." If the other young woman had never met a cat before she likely sounded like a looney.

"It was Chloe, for me... She told me what she could, answered what questions I had, but it wasn't really enough to set me up for everything that's happened over the past three and a half years now." Had it really been that long? There were still some parts of it that still stung as though they had just happened yesterday.

"There were more new than old when I first started... But now? Unless they've all died, there should be more old than new." The thought that those who had come before were doing nothing to prepare the 'next generation' was infuriating in a way that made the well of magic that she could feel but not touch gurgle within her, singing with her anger. She clenched her fists.

"Would you like to learn more than just as you go?"

She reached into her bodice to withdraw what looked like a typical teenager's mobile device with the pixel image of a grumpy feline face on the front. Corvus flipped the phone open, letting it scan the other senshi before sending her a message so that Persephone would be able to contact her as well. "When your doctors have cleared you... Come find me. Bring others with you, if you see fit. I can't guarantee that any of you will like what I have to say, but..." Her shoulders shrugged.

"Can you make it the rest of the way on your own? I would hate to cause a startle at the hospital by showing up looking like this." Again came that smirk that just managed to bring a twinkle to her eyes.

"You should be more thankful that your encounter was with a useless Lieutenant. Playing cards are a pathetic weapon." That smirk broadened for a moment that the other young woman would be able to see before she turned to depart. "You're welcome... And rest up!"

Her last words before she bounded up to the awning of the building across the street, from the awning to the fire escape and then up on to the roof. If she was lucky enough no one would have seen her and she'd be back to her flat in time to study for her final in the morning.
