For several long seconds, Reiko found herself rudely staring at the collapsed Tsukikage in shock. But after the initial surprise passed, she hurried herself to get the Tsukikage out of the catacombs as quickly as possible. The girl could see the trail of blood Elizabeth had left on their way through the catacombs and that trail of blood let Reiko know which way she had to continue walking in: the side that didn’t have blood. As best and as quickly as she could, the 5 ft. medic dragged the 4 in. taller Kaguya through the cave. She would have carried Elizabeth if she could, but the weight proved too much to the untrained genin.
By a stroke of luck, no more forks or paths to choose presented themselves to Reiko. All she had to do was walk down one path. Not even the geographically challenged medic could get lost in this situation, and before long, she came upon the exit she was looking for. With a final heave, Reiko dragged Elizabeth out of the catacombs and into sight of the village.
Caelum wandered the catacombs, walking the same route he normally did. He knew these pathways like the back of his hand, as he had went through every corridor and cavern the place had to offer. This included those pathways that could not be found unless they were being looked for. It took thirty minutes of traversing that included two openings that were invisible in pitch darkness, but he finally found what he was looking for.
Before him was what looked like a lake with the entire ceiling opened above the area. In the center of this crystal-lit lake was a miniature island . The entire area was filled with little particles floating in the air around the lake like silver fireflies. They were condensed chakra particles, gathered over years before Tsukigakure was founded. This was the one spot in the village, possibly in the world, that was most sensitive to chakra, almost like it was a living organism. It was here, on the island, that Caelum sat cross legged and meditated for ten minutes. Then he stood, dusted the sand off his pants, and formed a sphere of chakra between his hands before his chest. He then placed the sphere on the ground, and did a hand stand on it, using the sphere to levitate above the ground with his right hand. His body was slightly shaky at first, then it steadied. Soon, his body was perfectly still and vertical. This was a special technique for practicing chakra manipulation and control. And here, surrounded by an almost infinite amount of free resource to play and test with. This also helped him quell the Others: 2, 3, and 4. They were loud, active, and usually annoying, but here and especially when doing this they kept shut.
